The photoswitching poly(pyrene-1-ylmethyl-methacrylate-random-methyl methacrylate-random-methacrylate spirooxazine) was synthesized via atom transfer radical polymerization and characterized by proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR), gel permeation chromatography (GPC), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, UV-visible spectroscopy, and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The obtained copolymer exhibited the capability of erasable and rewritable photoimaging, making it a potential candidate for optical data storage materials. Moreover, the copolymer also showed the sensing ability for cyanide anions effect in aqueous solutions.
Critical Factors Affecting Employers' Satisfaction with Accounting Graduates in Hanoi
NGUYEN, Hoan,NGUYEN, Lien Thi Bich,NGUYEN, Hong Nhung,LE, Thanh Ha,DO, Duc Tai Korea Distribution Science Association 2020 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.7 No.8
In recent years, many firms have built a good recruitment policy, focusing on the requirements set for candidates to meet the employers' satisfaction; they often have certain requirements for each accounting job's position. The study aims to identify and measure factors affecting the employers' satisfaction with accounting graduates in Hanoi, the important locus of firms' labor force. We conducted a questionnaire consisting of 16 observation variables with a 5-point Likert scale. Independent variables were measured from 1 "without effect" to 5 "strongly". Based on the literature review and results of interviews, a total of 150 questionnaires were sent to participants; 135 of them met the standards and were subject to be analyzed. The results of Cronbach's alpha, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Multiple Regression Analysis (MRA) identify three main determinants influencing the employers' satisfaction with accounting graduates in Hanoi, including students' experience before graduating (SEG), reputation of universities (RU), and university's recruitment support policy (RSP). Based on the findings, some recommendations have been proposed to help universities design training programs for creating better satisfactions for employers in the future. On this basis, the authors propose a number of recommendations to improve the employers' satisfaction with accounting graduates in Hanoi.
Application of Electrocoagulation for Printing Wastewater Treatment: From Laboratory to Pilot Scale
Thuy, Nguyen Thi,Hoan, Nguyen Xuan,Thanh, Dang Van,Khoa, Pham Minh,Tai, Nguyen Thanh,Hoang, Quang Huy,Huy, Nguyen Nhat The Korean Electrochemical Society 2021 Journal of electrochemical science and technology Vol.12 No.1
This study reports for the first time the application of electrocoagulation (EC) from laboratory to pilot scales for the treatment of printing wastewater, a hazardous waste whose treatment and disposal are strictly regulated. The wastewater was taken from three real printing companies with strongly varying characteristics. The treatment process was performed in the laboratory for operational optimization and then applied in the pilot scale. The weight loss of the electrode and the generation of sludge at both scales were compared. The results show that the raw wastewater should be diluted before EC treatment if its COD is higher than about 10,000 mg/L. Pilot scale removal efficiencies of COD and color were slightly lower compared to those obtained from the laboratory scale. At pilot scale, the effluent CODs removal efficiency was 81.9 - 88.9% (final concentration of 448 - 992 mg/L) and color removal efficiency was 95.8 - 98.6% (final level of 89 - 202 Pt-Co) which proved the feasibility of EC treatment as an effective pre-treatment method for printing wastewater as well as other high colored and hard-biodegradable wastewaters.

This paper introduces the insight of implementing the Optical Camera Communication (OCC) technology in the industrial environment. This technology is desired to be developed for applying widely in many aspect, from healthcare to the wireless communication system for using in military due to its energy efficiency, harmlessness to human and the high-level security. However, implementing this type of technology still endure many challenges due to the big gap from current research work to each specific applying environment. We have already worked on analyzing the feasible of design a complete OCC solution for monitoring system inside the industrial factory. Based on my study, this paper aims to provide the design of a universal monitoring system, which applies OCC technology, for working stably and reliably in general industrial environment, for example: in the semiconductor producing factory.

The purpose of this study is to investigate factors influencing risk assessment of material misstatement in Vietnamese enterprises listed on stock market. Expert interview method was conducted to discover the scales for three variables including information system, trademark, and risk assessment of material misstatement. Survey method was used to examine the impacts of eight factors on risk assessment of material misstatement. Data is collected from 317 auditors who have excellent experience in auditing financial statements of companies listed on stock market. Then, data is processed by descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, factor extracted analysis, correlative regression analysis, and analysis variance of residual change. The research findings showed that business characteristic, stakeholder pressure, and economic environment have positive relationships with risk assessment of material misstatement. Three variables including operation control and monitor, control environment, and information system negatively affect to risk assessment. Specially, business characteristic and information system, which are elements in internal control, have strongest impact on risk assessment. One the other hand, assessment of internal control plays an important role not only in the audit plan stage but also throughout the stages of the audit implementation and ending. Therefore, appropriate solutions are proposed to carry out all audit stages.
Dilation behavior of normal strength concrete confined by FRP wire jackets
Nguyen, Hoan D.,Choi, Eunsoo,Park, Kyoungsoo Elsevier 2018 Construction & building materials Vol.190 No.-

Abstract

The introduction of confining pressure is an effective method to improve both ductility and strength of concrete. To confine concrete, recently, fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) wire has been employed because of several advantages, such as corrosion resistance, cost-effectiveness, and the ability to control the tightness of jackets during the installation process. In addition to experimental researches, confinement models need to be studied; in which, a factor affects directly to the accuracy of the models is dilation. This study aimed to investigate dilation behaviors and the effects of FRP wire jackets confinement on concrete. For this purpose, the uniaxial compression tests were conducted on twelve specimens by changing the number of FRP wire layers and the compressive strength of concrete. Experimental results illustrated that the FRP wire jackets provided higher confinement effects on concrete than FRP sheets. The dilation developed through three stages of compressive behaviors of confined concrete, i.e., the elastic, hardening, and damaged stages. Moreover, the test results indicated that the effects of the stiffness ratio for FRP wire jackets were different from these for FRP sheets. Additionally, to estimate the lateral-axial strain relation of concrete confined by FRP wire jackets, a dilation model was developed on the basis of a secant dilation ratio, which is the percentage of the lateral strain to axial strain. The experimental results and the model estimation demonstrated in a good agreement.

Highlights

The dilation ratio of concrete confined by FRP wire jackets is investigated.

The FRP wire confinement is more effective than the FRP sheet confinement.

The stiffness ratio of the FRP jackets affects behaviors of confined concrete.

The proposed dilation model describes three stages of dilation behavior.

The proposed model well captures behaviors of concrete confined by FRP wire jackets.
