      • Antioxidant activity in vitro and mucosal protective effect of Rhei Rhizoma on reflux esophagitis induced in rats

        Purpose Rhei Rhizoma (RR) is one of the herbal medicines traditionally used to treat diverse inflammatory diseases. The present study was undertaken to elucidate the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities of Rhei Rhizoma on experimental reflux esophagitis (RE) in rats. Methods The antioxidant activity of RR in vitro was measured in terms of radical scavenging capacity such as DPPH and ABTS. RE was produced by ligating both the pylorus and the transitional junction between the forestomach and the corpus. Rhei Rhizoma (125 and 250 mg/kg) were administered every day for 7 days, and its effect was estimated on comparison with RE control and normal rats. Results RR scavenged DPPH and ABTS effectively and IC50ofDPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activity of RR were 4.8 μg/ml and 15.75 μg/ml. The administration of RR decreased the elevated serum ROS in RE control rats. The RE control rats exhibited the down-regulation of antioxidant-related proteins such as Nrf2 and HO-1expression levels in the esophagitis; however, the level in the RR-treated RE rats was significantly higher than that in the RE control rats. Moreover, RE control rats exhibited the up-regulation of the protein expression related to oxidative stress at the esophagitis, but RR administration significantly reduced the expression of inflammatory proteins through the MAPK-independent signaling pathways. The expression of inflammatory mediators and cytokines by NF-κB activation was modulated through blocking the degradation of IκBα. In addition, the oral administration of RR regulated the gastric mucosal damage in RE rats. Conclusion The administration of Rhei Rhizoma effectively ameliorates the inflammatory damage of esophageal mucosa through radical scavenging activity and the activation of the Nrf2/HO-1 pathway.

        The high-strength aluminum alloy, 7075-T651, was used to observe the fatigue-crack-propagation behavior for the various stress ratio wish constant amplitude loading and thus to predict the fatigue life. The crack length of through crack of weldments was 2.4mm and the remaining part was a base material. The experiment was accomplished by marking the crack propagate near the base material. The ratio of effective stress intensity factor range(U) was greatly increased at the interface of weld material and base material, with the maximum at R=0.3 and 0.5. The crack growth rate (da/dN) showed an increase at the interface.

      • 유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 구형 마이크로스트립 안테나 설계

        This paper presents how to optimize rectangular microstrip antennas using genetic algorithms. Genetic algorithms are global numerical-optimization methods. patterned after the natural processes of genetic recombination and evolution. Rectangular microstrip antennas is analyzed by all parameters of the improved transmission-line model. The algorithms encode each parameter which is the width. length and thickness of the patch, the width of the feed line and the thickness of the dielectric into binary sequences, called a gen. and a set of genes is a chromosome. These chromosome undergo genetic operators to arrive at the final optimal solution for the design of rectangular microstrip antennas. Genetic algorithms determine the parameters of rectangular microstrip antennas to yield the maximum antenna gains. Simulation results obtain antenna gains of 5.3dB. The genetic algorithm proves to be better than general algorithms

        복합레진의 exponential 중합법이 상아질접착제의 미세인장접착강도에 미치는 영향

        접착제를 통해 치아에 접착되는 상부의 복합레진의 빠른 중합은 접착제층에 높은 중합수축응력을 발생시킨다. 중합수축응력을 경감시키기 위해서, LED 광중합기의 하나인 Elipar FreeLight 2 (3M ESPE, USA)에서는 최초 5초 이내에 광강도를 증가시키는 exponential 중합법을 채택하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 짧은 시간내에 광강도를 증가시키는 exponential 중합법이 복합레진의 초기 중합수축속도를 효과적으로 조절할 수 있는지를 알아보기 위해 접착제 적용 후 상부의 복합레진을 exponential 중합법과 continuous 중합법으로 중합하여 상아질접착제의 미세인장접착강도를 비교하였다. 3M사의 Scotchbond Multipurpose Plus (MP), Single Bond 2 (SB), 및 Adper Prompt (AP)의 세 종류의 접착제를 발치한 대구치의 교합면 상아질에 제조사의 지시에 따라 적용하고, 혼합형 복합레진인 Denfil (Vericom, Korea)을 두 가지 광중합방법으로 중합하였다. 접착 후 48시간에 미세인장접착강도를 측정하고, 파절면은 FE-SEM.으로 관찰하였다. 그 결과, 각각의 접착제에서 중합방법에 따른 접착강도의 차이는 관찰할 수 없었다(Two-way ANOVA, p > 0.05). MP와 SB의 미세인장접착강도는 AP에 비해 유의하게 높았다(p < 0.05). 대부분의 파절시편에서는 혼합형 파절이 가장 많이 관찰되었으나, 중합방법에 따른 파절양상의 차이는 없었다. 결론적으로 5초 이내의 짧은 시간에 광강도를 증가시키는 exponential 중합법은 continuous 중합법과 비교하여 상아질접착제의 미세인장접착강도에 영향을 주지 않았다. Objectives: Rapid polymerization of overlying composite resin causes high polymerization shrinkage stress at the adhesive layer. In order to alleviate the shrinkage stress, increasing the light intensity over the first 5 seconds was suggested as an exponential curing mode by an LED light curing unit (Elipar FreeLight2, 3M ESPE). In this study, the effectiveness of the exponential curing mode on reducing stress was evaluated with measuring microtensile bond strength of three adhesives after the overlying composite resin was polymerized with either continuous or exponential curing mode. Methods: Scotchbond Multipurpose Plus (MP, 3M ESPE), Single Bond 2 (SB, 3M ESPE), and Adper Prompt (AP, 3M ESPE) were applied onto the flat occlusal dentin of extracted human molar. The overlying hybrid composite (Denfil, Vericom, Korea) was cured under one of two exposing modes of the curing unit. At 48h from bonding, microtensile bond strength was measured at a crosshead speed of 1.0 mm/min. The fractured surfaces were observed under FE-SEM. Results: There was no statistically significant difference in the microtensile bond strengths of each adhesive between curing methods (Two-way ANOVA, p > 0.05). The microtensile bond strengths of MP and SB were significantly higher than that of AP (p < 0.05). Mixed failures were observed in most of the fractured surfaces, and differences in the failure mode were not observed among groups. Conclusion: The exponential curing method had no beneficial effect on the microtensile dentin bond strengths of three adhesives compared to continuous curing method.

      • 쇼트피닝 가공에 의한 압축잔류응력의 현상해석

        Shot peening was applied on both smooth specimen and notch specimen on order to investigate the stress distribution and the improvement in fatigue strength. The results showed that the fatigue strength of shot peened specimens increased compared to that of unopened ones. In this paper, Finite elements method showed that shot peening is effective in decreasing the bending stress by external force. The effectiveness of shot peening in reducing the compressive residual stress was anticipated by the superposition of the concentrated stress and the compressive residual stress.

      • 중부지역 옥수수 파종기에 따른 생육단계 및 수량성 변화

        Maize hybrids were planted on April 1, April 25, May 20 and June 15 in 2012, 2013 at the experimental paddy and upland fields in Suwon city , respectively to know changes of growth stage and yield according to different planting time. Maize planting on April 1 was not recommended because total growing days at planting on April 1 was not different with that at planting on April 25 due to many days from planting to emergence over 20 days at planting on April 1. Total growing days were not much different among three planting time after April 25 because days from silking to maturity was lengthened though days from planting to silking was shortened at later planting time. Stalk weight was decreased as planting time was delayed, particularly at planting times after May 20 at paddy field by excess water injury during early growth stage. But, grain yield was not low as in May and June. It is needed to introduce early maturity maize variety as Yanganok at late planting for higher grain yield and enough time for soil preparation for next winter crops

        In this paper, we proposed a Counter EMF MRAS(model reference adatation system)method. This using the indirect field oriented for calculated speed and a new reference model eliminated pure intergrator and low pass filter. So proposed controller have a robust speed identification and stable response. the described techiques are very simple, robust to motor's dynamic response. The proposed a new MRAS's effectiveness is verified by simulation using Matlab Simulink.

        會社整理制度에 관한 硏究 : 會社整理法上「訴訟의 受繼」와 法理解釋의 限界 Limit of Taking Over of Proceedings and Construction of Principle of Law under the Company Reorganization Act

        The purpose of the Company Reorganization Act (Article 1) is to coordinate the interests of creditors, stockholders and other interested persons, and to strive for the reorganization and recovery of the business, in respect of any joint stock company which faces imminent failure due to financial difficulties, but which is worth economic recovery. The act was promulgated as an Act No. 1214 on December 12, 1963, 14, and enacted by inheriting Japanese Corporation Reorganization Law. Therefore contents of the act are closely similar to those of Japanese Corporation Reorganization Law, and its efficiency as a law has been actually doubted since the act was not ever applied up to now. However, in case of Korea, many conglomerates became bankrupt before and after financial crisis in 1997, as a result, companies that desire to rebuild company through the act increased sharply and lawsuits related to above increased suddenly, therefore various circles became interested in the act more and more. It is proved by a fact that the Company Reorganization Act is frequently amended in these years. That is to say, the act was amended 10 times in total such as in 1981, in 1984, in 1993, in 1996, on Jan. and Feb. 1998, in 1999, in 2001, and 2002, and we can know that amendments are being concentrated after 1996. As mentioned above, the reason why amendments of the Company Reorganization Act were concentrated after 1996 is guessed that request for application of the act increased sharply before and after 1997, and in the course of application of the act, various problems such as insufficient of reality and scattering elements to prevent harmonization (promotion) of realization of legal system were detected, therefore relevant agencies of legislation make an effort to achieve the purpose of legal system and to increase reality of the act. However, in view of judicial precedence these days, numerous issues become prominent figures in the current Company Reorganization Act and it is judged that we did never discuss about those issues. That is to say, issue of equity comes to the front of the Company Reorganization Act as a special act of the Commercial Act since an aspect of reconstruction type company reorganization law to manage conglomerates and to be distinguished from the compulsory composition of the Bankruptcy Act and the composition proceeding of the Composition Act, and an aspect of the economic law holding special purpose and relating to national economy closely are become distinguished, and protection of person who has interest lay aside. In this thesis, I desire to summarize general matters of the Company Reorganization Act, to indicate the limitation of construction of law of the Supreme Court after examination of its judicial precedents selected and the Imperfection of legislation.

      • 漢方藥劑의 品質評價와 藥效에 關한 硏究(第6報) : 元柴胡및 竹柴胡 水性엑스의 中樞抑制作用에 對하여 Central Depressive Action of Bupleurum Falcatum and Bupleurum Longiradiotum

        The effects of the aqueous extracts of Bupleurun falcatum and Bupleurum longiradiotum on the central nervous depressive action were studied by the behaviroral pharmacological method. The roots of Bupleuri radix was extracted with distilled water for 8 hours. Effect of extracts were tested by spontaneous movement activity using photoelectric method, openfield method, sloped plate method, rotarrod method and extension of hypnosis time induced with sodium phenobarbital and pentobarbital sodium, and defense against convulsive action induced with strychnine, picrotoxine and electric shock seizure in mice and rats. Extracts was found to pharmacologically expect above various action similar to these of diazepam but action of samples weaker than that of diazepame. Extracts of Bupleurum longiradiotum was definitely superior to the Bupleurum extracts in the central nervousderpressive action.
