PageRank based Score Function for Orientation to Genetic Causal Network
Hitoshi AFUSO,Takeo OKAZAKI,Morikazu NAKAMURA 대한전자공학회 2009 ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Ci Vol.2009 No.7
To estimate genetic network from gene expression profile data, many approaches have been done[1][2][3] traditionally. As another approach for estimation of genetic network, Afuso[4] proposed the method constructed from two parts. First, extraction of direct causal relations from DNA microarray data. And second, giving edge orientation to extracted causal relations such satisfies certain constraint. In this paper, we proposed score function for edge orientation. And also, to evaluate appropriateness of proposal score function, we experimented comparison of proposal with other traditional score functions.
Consideration of a Face Recognition System with Real-time and Robustness
Hitoshi Horiuchi,Satoru Kaneko,Mie Sato,Koichi Ozaki,Masao Kasuga 대한전자공학회 2007 ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Ci Vol.2007 No.7
Capability of recognition, collision avoidance and communication with humans in natural is required for robots coexisting with humans. It is important that real-time and robust image processing for face recognition in a real environment. In this paper, we have developed a method of face recognition no depending on direction and size of human faces on various images. This method is include preprocess of a pattern matching algorithm based on the HSV color coordinate system and a rapid search algorithm by using the Genetic Algorithm (GA). For accurate face recognition, extracted images by an edge filter are used when a value of fitness on GA is evaluated. As a result, this system extracted face with about 65% accuracy.
Mobile & Collaborative Learning Development by A Concept of “Mobile-as-participation-platform”
Hitoshi Miyata,Norisuke Kozuki 대한전자공학회 2008 ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Ci Vol.2008 No.7
A comment card system that is compatible with mobile phones (i-mode, ez-web, and SoftBank) was developed and has been used for four years since 2002 as part of university lectures with large attendance. As per the approach adopted in these lectures, the lecturer poses a question and the students connect to the comment card system Web site from their mobile phones and submit their opinions or questions. The submitted opinions and questions are categorized according to their themes and are displayed on a large LCD screen facing the students in a lecture room in real time. The lecturer then draws attention to these opinions and questions and uses them to develop the lecture. The system was further improved to enable pictures taken from mobile phones equipped with a digital camera to be submitted along with a title and a comment, which the SQL server automatically stores in a picture database. This enabled the students to search for, extract, and view the pictures and the accompanying comments submitted by themselves and others in a ubiquitous learning environment. The application of this system in actual mass lectures indicates that it can promote the exchange of opinions between students and assist those lectures that aim to realize knowledge sharing.
Thermal Discharge Phenomenon in Alkali Niobate Piezoceramics
Hitoshi Matsudo,KenichiKakimoto,Isao Kagomiya 한국물리학회 2011 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.59 No.31
The thermal discharge behavior of poled Na_(0.5)K_(0.5)NbO_3 (NKN) ceramics was studied by using thermally stimulated depolarization current (TSDC) measurements. When the heating rate was 1 ℃/min, the TSDC pattern contained an anomalous TSDC pattern below its Curie temperature at approximately 375 ℃. The activation energy of its thermal relaxation was calculated to be 0.54 eV by comparing with TSDC measurement with the heating rate of 2 ℃/min. The a.c. impedance measurement revealed that the ceramics contained an oxygen vacancy-related dielectric relaxation with a 0.56 eV activation energy. The generation of the anomalous discharge of the poled NKN ceramics originated from its thermal relaxation, and the relaxation was caused by the dipolar relaxation of oxygen ions rather than the ionic conduction of oxygen.
Spin Behavior in a Quarter Rotation of the Magnetic Field
Hitoshi Kuwabara,Yasushi Yamauchi,Andrew Pratt 한국물리학회 2013 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.62 No.9
The spin rotation of a particle after a quarter rotation of an external magnetic field is calculated numerically and discussed both in the adiabatic and the nonadiabatic schemes. Adding to the wellknown fully adiabatic case, we find that the spin rotates a quarter turn along the magnetic field’s direction when the transient time of the magnetic field matches closely but not exactly the Larmor precession period or its multiples.
