H₂가스 농도에 따른 SiC유도탄소막의 마모 및 마찰거동 평가

Carbide Derived Carbon (CDC) layer is formed by reacting SiC with chlorine gas at 1000℃. Effect of H₂ gas concentration which participate to a form of carbon layer was investigated about the effect of the variation of tribological properties. H₂ gas concentration was varied with 1.7 vol%~13.3 vol% on the each carbon layer form. And carbon layer was analysed by SEM, Raman spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR). Tribological properties were measured using ball-on-disk tester. Friction coefficient was varied between 0.12 and 0.17 with variation of H₂ gas concentration. This results revealed correlation between tribological properties and H₂ gas concentrations, such as, sp³ -CH₂ bonding structure which appear from the surface of the specimen represented the softness of carbon layer. And we confirmed that H₂ gas concentration affects to tribological property.

<P>Carbide based ceramics are frequently used for the tribological applications, such as mechanical seals, owing to their good mechanical and chemical properties. Recently, studies of the tribological properties of these applications have become increasingly important due to the increasing need for severe operating conditions. In this study, the surface modification of carbide ceramics was attempted to improve the triblogical properties. Carbon layers were prepared on SiC–TiC ceramics using a moderate and high temperature chlorination process. The microstructure and worn surfaces were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy and an α-step profilometer, respectively. Tribological tests were carried out on chlorinated SiC–TiC surfaces using a ball on disc wear tester. Since carbon atoms in TiC were derived at lower temperatures than SiC, the distribution of carbon atoms within the modified layers were synthesized by the difference in reaction temperature and reaction time. The tribological properties were varied by the volume fraction of carbon and SiC in the modified layer. The friction coefficient and wear rate were decreased by controlling the structure and composition of the carbon based layer from 0.22 to 0.18 and 7.91 to 1.92 (×10<SUP>−6</SUP> mm<SUP>3</SUP>/N·m), respectively.</P>
Effect of C1₂ gas concentration of the surface modified TiC on the tribological properties

Carbide-derived carbon coating has been synthesized by low temperature treatment of TiC disk with H₂/C1₂ mixture gases. A variety of physical measurements indicate that Ti was extracted by exposure of Cl₂ gas. The thickness of carbon layer and ID/IG ratio increased with increasing Cl₂ concentration. Wear coefficient and frictional coefficient decreased 50% and 19% respectively compared to these properties with untreated TiC samples when 3.3vol% of Cl₂ was flowed during the treatment.

The results showed that degree of graphite crystallinity and variation of porosity due to the Cl₂ gas content were responsible for different tribology performance.

TiC-derived carbon coatings have been synthesized at 600℃ temperature treatment with H₂/Cl₂ mixture gases. From Raman spectroscopy measurements, the modified layer was covered with carbon and the thickness of the layer was increased with increasing reaction time. And ID/IG ratio was decreased with increasing reaction time. The superior tribological property was obtained from TiC reacted with Cl₂ gas for 2 hrs. And the tribological property measurements indicate that TiC-derived carbon layer has 0.9×10<SUP>-6</SUP>㎣/Nm in wear coefficient and 0.13 in friction coefficient.

Map-based cloning to find genes of interest, marker-assisted selection (MAS), and marker-assisted breeding (MAB) all require good genetic maps with high reproducible markers. For map construction as well as chromosome assignment, development of single copy PCR-based markers and map integration process are necessary. In this study, the 132 markers (57 STS from BAC-end sequences, 13 STS from RFLP, and 62 SSR) were newly developed as single copy type PCR-based markers. They were used together with 1830 markers previously developed in our lab to construct an integrated map with the Joinmap 3.0 program. This integrated map contained 169 SSR, 354 RFLP, 23 STS from BAC-end sequences, 6 STS from RFLP, 152 AFLP, 51 WRKY, and 99 rRAMP markers on 12 chromosomes. The integrated map contained four genetic maps of two interspecific (Capsicum annuum ‘TF68’ and C. chinense ‘Habanero’) and two intraspecific (C. annuum ‘CM334’ and C. annuum ‘Chilsungcho’) populations of peppers. This constructed integrated map consisted of 805 markers (map distance of 1858 cM) in interspecific populations and 745 markers (map distance of 1892 cM) in intraspecific populations. The used pepper STS were first developed from end sequences of BAC clones from Capsicum annuum ‘CM334’. This integrated map will provide useful information for construction of future pepper genetic maps and for assignment of linkage groups to pepper chromosomes.
설악산 국립공원에서의 흰넓적다리붉은쥐의 행동권 등 생태연구

본 연구는 설악산에서 포획한 흰넓적다리붉은쥐 4마리 (암놈 2, 수놈 2)에 발신기를 부착하여, 일일주기행 동 및 행동권 등의 생태정보를 수집하려는 목적으로 수행하였다. 설악산 흰넓적다리붉은쥐는 17시부터 익일 09시까지 활동하는 야행성 포유류임이 밝혀졌다. 또한 흰넓적다리붉은쥐의 최대 이동거리는 평균 97미터, 행 동권은 평균 712m2임이 처음으로 확인되었으며, 흰넓적다리붉은쥐의 행동권은 등줄쥐 (A. agrarius)보다는 넓으나, 유럽의 A. sylvaticus보다는 좁은 것으로 파악되었다.
