This study shows how the variation of size, position and temperature of a heated floor has an effect on the behavior of vertical indoor air temperature distribution and the formation of comfort condition. And a scaled-down model which has a similarity to the real model in the all kinds of physical properties is made and used for the experiment. The test has done under the condition of three floor surface temperatures, 30, 36 and 42, five sizes of heating area, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100%, and three types of heating position, L&R, LorR, and C. The summaries of the study are as follows; ① It is general that L&R type is more effective than LorR type and C type for keeping out the cold air from envelopes and also the iso-thermal line of indoor air temperature is uniform in L&R type. ② In case of C type it is found that the indoor air temperatures at some points are recorded more highly than other types. And when the ratio of heated floor area to total floor area is 20% and 40%, the distribution of ndoor air temperature take shapes of recipro-triangle. ③ At the heating area less than 60% the indoor air temperature distribution is affected by where the heating position is but at over 60% the position of heating has a little effect on the distribution of indoor air temperature ④ When heated the floor partially, 60-80% of total floor area, its energy efficiency is better than total floor heating method. ⑤ Judging from the test results, the partial heating method with 60% of floor area, 30 of floor surface temperature and L&R type of heating position is the most effective in the matter of energy use. ⑥ It total floor heating method the comfort range of floor surface temperature becomes stable at about 30. From the above mentioned results it is possible to estimate that the range of thermal comfort of indoor air temperature and surface temperature of floor will be fullfilled by the partial heating system as well as total floor heating system. It means that the active research on partial heating system is needed to reach the goal of energy saving in residential building in the coming years.

The purposes of this study are to examine abnormal stock returns associated with announcements of corporate capital expenditures, and to find the difference between mature firms and venture firms. The whole samples are composed of 106 announcements during 2001~2002. This paper used market risk adjusted return method in the calculation of abnormal return. The findings of empirical study can be summarized as follows. First, An average abnormal return for t재 day announcement period is not significantly different from zero at 0.05 level. This result suggests that announcements of capital investments do not reveal new information about expected cash flows or investment opportunities. Second, the Reaction of Firm Values to Announcements of Corporate Capital Investments was not different between of mature firms and venture firms.

Biliary ascariasis results not only in biliary tract disease, but also in secondary stone formation, hemorrhage into biliaty tract, acute cholecystitis, biliary perforation, invasion to pancreatic duct, pancreatitis, he%atitis, and liver abscess. In recent, we experienced a case of biliary ascariasis with concomitant biliary stones, which was identified by ultrasonogram percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography, and computed tomography, thereby reporting it herein with a review of literatures.

전압형 인버터에 의한 直流 스폿鎔接器의 定電力制御에 關한 硏究

In recent years, there is increasing interests in spot welder with industrial growth of automobile. It makes autowelding and short-time welding possible. Conventional spot welders using AC source bring about the depreciation of welding products, because constant current control makes its workpiece spattered during welding process. In this paper, the constant power control strategy using PI controller is proposed to improve the quality of the welding products. PI controller is implemented by l6bit one chip 80C196KB microcontroller. Simulation and experimental results show that DC spot welder with single phase PWM inverter is effectively controlled by the constant power control method in very short-time.

조선후기(朝鮮後期) 충청도(忠淸道) 전의현(全義縣) 관아건축(官衙建築)의 배치구성(配置構成)에 관한 연구(硏究)

This study is to analyze site layout traditional government office building focused on Chonui-hyon(全義縣) in Chungchong province with Chungchong-do regional maps(忠淸道地方地圖) and Eupjis(邑誌, topography) being compiled in the late Chosun dynasty. The conclusion of analysis can be summarized as follows; 1. Chonui-hyon(全義縣) in Chosun dynasty is gone with a planning principle of the capital city(Han-Seong, 漢城) with disposing Sa-Ji-Dan(社稷壇) and Gaek-Sa(客舍), which are placed to the left and right of Eupchi(邑治), and it is followed in the wake of the spatial structure of Chosun dynasty palace with disposing Dong-Heon(東軒) in front, Nae-A(內衙) at the back of it, or from side to side, also by the Dong-Heon of the center, with organizing each facility around it. 2. Dong-Heon and Gaek-Sa of Chonui-hyon is passed through three step gate, Mun-Ru(門樓), Woi-Sammun(外三門), Nae-Sammun(內三門), from Hong-Salmon(紅門), and are shown hierarchy by haying been placed at the end of approach axis. 3. Dong-Heon can be disposed by Feng-Shui(風水) which have influence on the southeast direction with Jin-San(鎭山) and An-Dae(案對), on the other hand, Gaek-Sa can be disposed by symbolic of the authority of a king. 4. Site layout by function of provincial government office is provided into four ferrite, Dong-Heon, Gaek-Sa, Nae-A, practical business territory, and eve territory is organized by official institution on a social position to radiation, by the compositive axis to be made Woi-Sammun Nae-Sammun Dong-Heon Nae-A 5. Approach process of Chnui-hyon government office is three door system similar to Kam-Young(監營) in a different way two door system in most provincial government office, also approach axis is formed by bending.

Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Ligation of the Thoracic Duct in a Patient with Traumatic Chylothorax

Non-surgical traumatic chylothorax following blunt chest trauma is rare, with only a few cases having been reported. In general, conservative treatment measures are recommended as initial management of traumatic chylothorax; these include closed thoracostomy, dietary restriction, and parenteral nutrition. There are few reports of surgery for traumatic chylothorax. We report our experience with thoracic duct ligation using video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery in a patient with chylothorax following blunt chest injury with associated fractures of the thoracic spine. Recent Trends in Korean Countertrade : A Content Analysis

Countertrade transaction is considered as an alternative of traditional trade by companies or governments around the world, but it represents more than just alternative. This paper presents an analysis of Countertrade Outlook(weekly). First, the various forms of countertrade covered in this study are explained and illustrated with recently reported Korean countertrade transactions. Second, current data on countertrade transactions for 1988 and the first half of 1989 are analyzed. The analysis covers the frequency and relative importance of countries involved, forms of countertrade used, and types of products imported and exported by Korean consistent with earlier studies on countertrade. Finally, the implications are discussed. International marketing managers need to be aware of recent trends in countertrade, and developments in Korean government policy. This knowledge will enable them to identify, and to take advantage of, emerging opportunities in the Korean marketplace.

Attitudinal and Perceptual Differences Toward Countertrade in South Korea an Exploratory Study - Preliminary Findings

This empirical exploratory study is part of a larger comprehensive study of countertrade in the Asia-Pacific region. A structured interview of 60 South Korean international trading firms during the latter half of 1990 reveals that a positive attitude toward countertrade exists among both countertraders and non-countertraders in South Korea. Further, except for a few statistically significant differences, there is general agreement among both countertraders and non-countertraders as to the differences faced, reasons for not countertrading, and benefits derived from countertrade.

Clinical Characteristics and Management of Intrathoracic Bronchogenic Cysts: A Single Center Experience

Background: The aim of this study is to investigate the clinical characteristics and management of intrathoracic bronchogenic cysts. Materials and Methods: Twenty-four (n=24) patients with intrathoracic bronchogenic cysts were treated surgically between August 1990 and December 2009 at our institution. Patients were divided into two groups by bronchogenic cyst location: mediastinal or intrapulmonary. Symptoms at diagnosis, radiologic findings, locations,surgical methods, pathological findings, and surgical outcomes were investigated retrospectively from consecutive patient medical records. Results: There were 12 females (50.0%). The mean age was 26.8 (range, 5 to 64) years. The mean follow-up period was 27.3 (range, 1 to 121) months. There were 15 (62.5%) mediastinal and 9 (37.5%) intrapulmonary bronchogenic cysts. Symptoms occurred in 8 patients with mediastinal bronchogenic cysts (53.3%) and 5 patients with intrapulmonary bronchogenic cysts (55.6%) (p=1.000). On computed tomography (CT),7 patients (46.7%) showed homogenous solid masses in mediastinal bronchogenic cysts and five (55.6%) patients exhibited heterogeneous cystic masses with air-fluid levels in intrapulmonary bronchogenic cystic masses. Open thoracotomy was performed in 17 (70.8%) patients, and video-assisted thoracic surgery was performed in 7 (29.2%)patients. On pathological findings, there were 16 (66.7%) complicated cysts, and in 13 symptomatic patients, 11(84.6%) patients had complicated cysts. There was no operative death in this study. During the follow-up period,no recurrence was detected. Conclusion: Intrathoracic bronchogenic cysts have a wide variety of clinical characteristics and radiologic findings. Even though some patients do not experience symptoms and signs caused by bronchogenic cysts, serious symptoms and complications may develop with the passage of time.

Azygos Vein Aneurysm - A Case for Elective Resection by Video-assisted Thoracic Surgery

An azygos vein aneurysm is a very rare cause of a posterior mediastinal mass. Once the diagnosis has been confirmed, no treatment is usually required. However, the aneurysm can thrombose, and this may lead pulmonary thromboembolism, or the aneurysm may rupture. In these instances, the excision of the mass is recommended. Video-assisted thoracic surgery techniques have considerably improved. If it is necessary to remove the aneurysm,video-assisted thoracic surgery may be a good option for surgical treatment. We report a case of an aneurysm of the azygos arch that was successfully resected by video-assisted thoracic surgery.
