      • Stereo Video Transmission Distortion Derived Algorithm Based On Data Partitioning In H.264/AVC

        H.264/AVC coding standard slices the encoded Data using the Data Partitioning (DP) based on syntax priority to improve the error resistance for H.264 bit stream. According to this feature, considering the temporal and spatial correlation in stereoscopic video, network performance and terminal error concealment technology. A derived algorithm for determining the transmission distortion based on different DP parts in a Group-of-Pictures (GoP) is proposed. The algorithm takes both the distortion introduced by error diffusion and error concealment into account, which can be estimated by the stereo video quality at encode side under the condition of the specific network. Experimental results show that the algorithm used to calculate the distortion basically coincided with simulation results, and the algorithm can be applied to different sequences with various movement characteristics.

        2018년 4월 27일 개최된 남북정상회담 당시 북한 김정은 위원장은 ‘하나의 핏줄과 역사, 하나의 문화와 언어’를 언급한 바 있다. 그런데 남북관계를 이해하는 새로운 창을 고려할 수 있다. 즉, ‘하나의 신앙’이다. 일반적으로 접경지역은 정치, 경제적으로 분단되어 있지만 교류와 협력이 확대되는 경우에는 국경을 경계로 분리된 종교, 조상숭배 현상들이 ‘하나’로 통합되는 경향을 보인다. 이런 현상들은 남·북 접경을 축으로 조상숭배를 비롯한 다양한 종교교류에도 동일한 현상이 나타날 것으로 기대된다. 본 연구는 중국접경지역에 거주하는 화교들이 초국경 이주를 하면서도 전통적 ‘신령’에 대한 숭배 정신을 그대로 유지하는 현상을 검토한다. 이를 통해 ‘국경을 넘은 신령’의 신분 분화, 독립, 분묘(分廟)등의 과정과 특징적 기능들을 살피고자 한다. On 27<sup>th</sup> April 2018, the Inter-Korean summit was held in South Korea. At that summit, the Supreme Leader of North Korea Kim Jong-un gave an important speech, in which he emphasized that the north and south Korean sharing the same blood and history, having the same culture and language. Besides that, there is another element cannot be ignored when we discuss the network of one culture in different political divisions in Asia. That is to say, folk belief. In China, because of the worship of ancestors and deities, there is a religious reciprocate movement between the hometown of overseas Chinese and their residence places abroad. Through this reciprocate movement, Chinese Religion constructs a cultural network between the two places which have a close relationship with the Ethnic Chinese. This paper states the role of the incarnation of Gods in the construction of cultural network in Chinese Religion, and we also hope this situation in Chinese culture would be a hint for us to understand the same cultural dynamics in Korean peninsula.

        Impact of rural residence on the presentation, management and survival of patients with non-metastatic muscle-invasive bladder carcinoma

        Purpose: To assess the impact of rural and remote residence on the receipt of guidelines-recommended treatment, quality of treatment and overall survival (OS) in patients with non-metastatic muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC). Materials and Methods: Patients with MIBC were identified using National Cancer Database. Patients were classified into three residential areas. Logistic regression models were used to assess associations between geographic residence and receipt of radical cystectomy (RC) or chemoradiation therapy (CRT). Models were fitted to assess quality benchmarks of RC and CRT. Results: We identified 71,395 patients. Of those 58,874 (82.5%) were living in Metro areas, 8,534 (11.9%) in urban-rural adjacent (URA), and 3,987 (5.6%) in urban-rural remote to metro area (URR). URR residence was significantly associated with poor OS compared to URA and Metro residence (HR 0.87, 95% CI 0.81–0.94 and HR 0.90, 95% CI 0.87–0.93, p<0.001). There was no difference in the likelihood of receiving RC and CRT among different residential areas. Among patients who underwent RC; individuals living in URR were less likely to receive neoadjuvant chemotherapy and adequate lymph node dissection, and had a higher probability of positive surgical margin than those living in metro areas. For those who received CRT; individuals living in Metro areas were more likely to receive concomitant systemic therapy compared to URR. Conclusions: Rural residence is associated with lower OS for MIBC patients and less likelihood of meeting quality benchmarks for RC and CRT. This data should be used to guide further health policy and allocation of resources for rural population.

        Fixed‑time non‑singular terminal sliding mode control for PMSM drive systems

        To further improve the response speed and anti-interference capability of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs), many advanced control algorithms have been developed. Among the various advanced controls, the fixed-time terminal sliding mode control is one of the effective methods. However, there are still some problems, e.g., too many parameters imposed on the control design in the existing results. In this paper, a fixed-time non-singular terminal sliding mode control (FTNTSMC) method is proposed for the speed loop of a PMSM drive system. First, to improve the closed-loop performance of the PMSM drive system, the relationship between the reference q-axis current and the speed of the PMSM is described in a second-order model. Next, a sliding mode surface with variable exponential coefficients is selected, and the expression of the controller is given. Then, the stability of the PMSM drive system is demonstrated by using Lyapunov functions. Using this method, the fixed-time convergence of the PMSM drive system can be realized and the occurrence of singularity phenomena can be avoided in a simpler and easier method. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by simulation and experimental results.
