        Paul-Ambroise Valery said that language had two functions; one is to convey mea-nings and the other emotions. Among those, we should take the latter in order to co-nstruct the pure Poetry. And also he maintain that we must exclude all the prosaic elements in poetry. Whereever does the emotion come from in this case? Without question,it comes from the transmission for readers by virtue of reappearance of the emotion we have experienced. What we have ordinarily experienced is of course made up of by sound & color and conscious content which is immanent and unified perception. That is in itself looking, listening and perception. If we appreciate the beauties of sound & color,how lucky enough it is. Therefore the problems of poetry and the nature of time are raised. They serve as a mysterious role. This study aims at describing the nature of time and in turn the time of natural science, philosophical time, the kind of time and finally the poetry which has physical time. Especially among the kinds of time, there are three; physical time by Newton's method of Sir Issac Newton, historical time (Sein und zeit) of Martin Heidegger and psychological time of Henmri Louis Bergson. In the case of physical time, the relationship between poetry and time was concretly illustrated and also in the case of psychological time, the function of the time in poe-try was slightly described at chapter 6. "the time of Buddhist Literature". However, The way of characterizing the psychological time in poetry remains as the prospective subject.

        Time was changed according to the way of thinking of human. However if we mentioned its kinds we could say that three kinds of time are the going time, the coming time and the being time. Among these the going time is the exactly objective time which Newton proposed and the coming time is the presented time Martin Heidegger proposed in his "Existence and Time" and also the being time is the intutive time Heri Bergson proposed. This study discusses the kind of poems which expressed the going time, the coming time, the being time and the results of these existed in these poems. All poems expressed the giong time are those of the technician. Therefore we can not find the depth of though and his view of life or the word. But shows an interest to the readers only. Poems expressed the coming time was found in the revolutionary written by the poets who loved his country and thus these have the devotion to his country and to his people as the central idea. Therefore we can say that these poems are laid on more high level of the mental situation than those expressed the going time. Poems expressed the being time was found in the those written by the nations leader or a saint and Buddhist priest. These are mainly the poems written after attaining enlightenment. Consequently, I was conclued that these poems are laid on the most high level of the mental situation. It goes without saying that poems which was included the eternity, infinity and joys give us the largest consolation.

      • 정반 평면도 평가를 위한 측정점의 합리적인 개수의 결정

        The flatness is the most important nature for the surface table. For finding such a flatness, the surface is surveyed along a number of straight lines parallel to the edges of table, which form a grid. Next, the variations in height of the grid points are measured relative to a datum point. If the number of such points is increased. It is not necessarily to use many grid points for finding the original flatness ofa measured surface tabel. So it is necessary to find the rational quantity of such grid points. It is found that about 220 points per 1 m? of surface tabel for measurement is the rational quantity with less than about 15% error of the original flatness.

        Study on Method of Sperm Aspiration and Injection into an Oocyte in Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection(ICSI) Immobilization of spermatozoa prior to intracytoplasmic sperm iniection(ICSI) sometimes results in crooked tail and this makes it difficult to aspirate sperm into an injection pipette tail first. Head-first sperm aspiration into an injection pipette avoid this problem due to the bigger size of the sperm head. The effect of head or tail-first sperm injection into an oocyte on fertilization cleavage, percentage of grade I embryos and development to blastocyst stage in ICSI program has been studied. A single living immobilized spermatozoa from oligoasthenozoospermic patient was injected into an oocyte head-first or tail-first according to the treatment. Eighteen hours after microinjection, oocytes ware inspected for survival and fertilization Fertilized oocytes with two pronuclei were cultured in 30μl drop of mHTF supplemented with 10% heat-inactivated follicular fluid(FF) at 37℃. On day 2. embryo transfer was performed with cleaved embryos. The remaining 2-8 cell stage embryos were co-cultured with BRL cells in mHTF + 10% FF for 72 hours and the developmental stage was observed. The data were analyzed by Analysis of Variance. A total of 164 oocytes from 36 cycles were assigned to earth treatment and ICSI was performed(88 head-first, tail-first). The rates of normal fertilization were 81.8% and 76.3% for head-first and tail-first, respectively. Of the fertilized oocytes, the percentage of cleaved embryos and the percentage of grade 1 embryo among cleaved embryos were 88.9% and 68.8%, 93.1% and 74.1% for head-first and tail-first, respectively. Of the 2-8 cell embryos cultured, 44.4%(16/36) and 50.0%(10/20) for head first and tail first, respectively developed to blastocyst stage. There were no differences in fertilization, cleavage, rates of grade 1 embryos, and development to blastocyst stage. In conclusion, head-first or tail-first sperm injection into an oocyte in ICSI program does not affect fertilization and subsequent embryo development to blastocyst stage in vitro.

        A new device, muscle clamping system was developed to facilitate exact quatifying technique A strabismus surgery, and reduce the risk of complications. The device is composed of a lower fixing body with three jaws and an upper supporting body. They are used to clip an extraocular muscle and fix it to the sclera with a single bite. Superior rectus recession on 16 rabbit eyes were performed with this new device. Conjunctival injection, muscle adhesion strength, and light microscopic findings were examined at 1, 2, 4 and 8 weeks postoperatively. The Conjunctival injection were minimal, adhesion power ranged from 420 to 600 gram gravity, which is sufficient in withstand the normal pull of human extraocular muscle. In microscopic exam, some Inflammatory cells and fibrosis were found. The new device was technically easy, fast, and accurate, so it may be useful in stabismus surgery.

        Biodegradable retinal fixation devices obtain mechnical fixation of the retina with desirable chorioretinal scarring and with the potential for local, sustained release of antimetabolites and steroids to inhibit proliferative vitreoretinopathy. We manufactured a biodegradable retinal tack with barb that was designed in order to prevent intrusion from implantation of retinal tacks. This study was carried to evaluate the efficacy for retinal fixation and the capability for sustained release of drugs with a newly designed biodegradable retinal tack Biodegradable retinal tacks were made of polymers of glycolic acids and were designed with barbs in a shape to prevent the disinsertion. Biodegradale retinal tacks are divided into 3 parts, a conical portion that is inserted into the sclera, a cylinder portion that remains in the vitreous, and a neck portion between the pin and the cylinder. The tapered conical end was manufactured to allow easy insertion through the retina and choroid into the sclera. A cylinder portion was manufactured with a tapered angle that fixes firmly into the orifice of 19 gauge spinal needle. A neck portion, 0.4 mm in diameter, was designed to prevent disinsertion from following implantation of retinal tack. The applicator was a 19 gauge spinal needle and its orifice was prepared to 15°angle to accept the tapered cylinder portion of the retinal tack. The retinal tacks, secured in the needles, were passed through the formed vitreous and inserted into the retina, choroid, and sclera and were released by pushing the internal needle, usually within 2-3mm of the medullary ray of the posterior rabbit retina A retinal tack was placed in each of 8 pigmented rabbit eyes. Slit-lamp biomicroscopy, indirect ophthalmoscopy and fundus photography were performed periodically from 1 day to 8 weeks after surgery. Eight eyes were enucleated and studied by light microscopy at 8 weeks. Biomicroscopic evaluation of the animals revealed edemas adjacent to the retinal surfaces immediately after insertion of the biodegradable retinal tacks in all the animals. These edemas disappeared after 1 week. The first noticeable change in the size of retinal tacks was shown after 2weeks. The size of the retinal tacks gradually got smaller, decreasing to about one-half at 4 weeks and about one-third at 8 weeks. All retinal tacks remained in inserted places without any movement for an 8 week period. On light microscopy, epiretinal proliferations were seen to extend into the vitreous cavity. Cellular capsules that lined the inner aspect of the scleral defect caused by tack insertion were found. However the adjacent retina had a normal cytologic appearance and architecture in all specimens. We manufactured a biodegradable retinal tack that is designed to prevent intrusion from implantation of retinal tacks. All biodegradable retinal tacks reduce in size with time, but no retinal tacks extruded from the inserted place. The newly designed biodegradable retinal tack can be used for retinal fixation and may be used as a vehicle for the introduction of pharmacologic agents to prevent the cellular events that promote proliferative vitreoretinopathy.

      • A Study or Korean Modern Poets and their representative works

        For making a survey of modern poetry of Korea for 60 years from now. I make a plan to observe, one by one, the highest peaks of mountain range. The highest peaks are, I suppose, about 20 poets, Which represent the poems of their age. First of all, here I introducee 10 poets and their finest poems, and at the next opportunity, I will do 10 poets more finally. Then I belive you can see all the appearance of the modern poetry of Korea. But here is a question. It is the method to examine them. Shall I feel their blood pulse with my finger? or, Shall I use the stethoscope? Saying in other words, to be a historical method or tobe an analitical methode, is the question. But another day, when I am under the keen necessity, I shall select a method of the two.

First, trying to find out the problem in trends of these day's physical education and provide for substitute a new idea Zen. Second, build up the 1ogical structure for enable to possibility of self-actualization through physical education. In this time, I'm trying to find out leaderships for self-fulfillment, be converted consciousness and the way of real "self". Namely we know that the "self" is not an real self but a false image. So it's very difficult study for opposite view and related many other things. As a result I'm get to the way of understand that. If one make effective use of that kind of experience about absence of ego, that have expect to remarkable growing in self-actualization.
