Kikuchi-Fujimoto disease (KFD) is a benign self-limiting disease characterized by fever and lymphadenitis. The etiology and pathogenesis of KFD is unclear. However, two hypotheses have been suggested: a viral infection hypothesis and an autoimmune hypothesis. Several KFD patients with various types of autoimmune diseases have been reported, and these reports support the hypothesis for autoimmune pathogenesis of KFD. Here, we report the case of a 17-year-old female patient diagnosed with KFD and autoimmune thyroiditis. This case serves as additional evidence that the etiology of KFD is autoimmune origin.

A new and useful poly(ethylene oxide)-based pH-sensitive block copolymer is introduced. Poly(ethylene oxide-b-N-phenylmaleimide) was first synthesized by anionic polymerization of N-phenylmaleimide (N-PMI) using mixed alkali metal polymeric alkoxide by sequential monomer addition method in the mixture of benzene/THF/DMSO (10/5/3, v/v/v) at room temperature. Reductive deimidation of the resulting block copolymer was performed using hydrazine monohydrate leading to the formation of the corresponding pH-sensitive poly(ethylene oxide-b-maleic acid).
수치해석을 위한 방진 마운트의 동적 특성 결정 및 검증

고무재료의 비선형적인 특성으로 인해 고무재질 방진 마운트의 탄성계수와 감쇠계수는 주파수에 따라 달라 진다. 따라서 고무재질의 방진 마운트 설계 시 마운트의 동적 특성을 반드시 고려해야만 한다. 특히, 수치해석을 수 행하는데 있어 해석결과는 마운트의 동적 강성 고려 여부에 따라 크게 달라진다. 본 논문에서는 한국 해군에서 승인 되어 사용되고 있는 특정 표준 마운트에 대해 실험적으로 동적 특성을 정의하였으며, 이러한 동적 특성을 적용한 경우와 적용하지 않은 경우에 대해 수행한 수치해석 결과와 실험 결과를 비교하였다. Because the non-linear property of the rubber, the elastic modulus and damping factor of the rubber mount are dependent on the frequency. Therefore, the dynamic properties of the rubber mount should be considered when the anti-vibration mount is designed. Especially, when the numerical analysis is performed, the results can have much errors not considering the dynamic characteristics of the rubber mount. In this paper, the dynamic properties of typical standard rubber mount approved by ROK navy are defined experimentally and the results from the numerical analysis and experiment are compared for considering and non-considering the dynamic properties of the rubber mount respectively.

Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma(HNSCC) is notorious for its poor outcome and increasing incidence. But, the studies of cytogenetic analysis in HNSCC are relatively rare, because of difficulties in culturing solid tumor cells and complexity in chromosomal DNA abberations associated with the lesions. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the location of chromosomal aberrations in Korean HNSCC cell lines (SNU-1041, 1066, and 1076) with comparative genomic hybridization(CGH) and array based CGH(array-CGH). Chromosomal gains of 3q23-q27, 5p13-p15.3, 7p21-pter, 8q11.2-q12, 8q21.1-qter, 9q22-q34, 16q22-q24, and 20q11.2-qter, as well as chromosomal losses on 3p10-p14 were found in all 3 SNU cell lines. Losses on 3p15-p23, 4q22-q27, 4q31.3-qter, 6q14-q15, 7q31-q34, 8p12-pter, 18q21-q23, and 21q11.2-q12 were observed in 2 of 3 cell lines. In array-CGH, many genes were altered including gains of PIK3CA, MYC, EVI1, MAD1L1 genes and losses of SERPIN genes. These aberrations of gene and chromosome coincide with other results of study, generally. These data about the patterns of chromosomal aberrations could be a basic step for understanding more de-tailed genetic events in the carcinogenesis and also provide information for diagosis and treatment in HNSCC.
