The purpose of this study is to analyze the visual variation of skilled and unskilled people, and to obtain data necessary for skill improvement of effective handball penalty throw. An eye tracker was used to collect eye movements, concentration points, directions, and paths during penalty throws. The results are as follows: 1) For skilled players, the place where they threw and the place where their eyes were focused matched. 2) There is no difference in the presence or absence of eye contact with the goalkeeper.

깨다식의 감미 및 물성 등의 개선을 위해 꿀보다 높은 점도와 hardness를 가지는 쌀엿과 조청 등을 첨가 혼합하여 품질을 조사한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 깨다식의 적정 재료 배합비는 깨가루 100 기준시, 꿀과 쌀엿의 동량 혼합액 50%(w/w)였으며, 이를 기준으로 제조한 깨다식의 이화학적 특성은 당도 17.44 brix˚, tnqns 12.16, 환원당 15.44, 단백질 12.88, 지방 32.02, 조회분 2.82 %이었고, 기계적 특성 중 TPA의 chewiness는 0.28~0.30, hardness는 27.22~27.44 g/㎠이고, 색도의 L값은 41.67, a값 4.58, 그리고 b값은 16.99였다. This study was carried out to investigate the effects of the addition of sweeteners to Sesame Dasiks. Sesame Dasiks were prepared by adding various sweeteners to sesame seeds powder, at 40, 50, 60 and 70%, and their quality characteristics were measured. In the chewiness and hardness analyses of Sesame Dasiks, the 50% group (the same ratio and mixture of honey and lire jelIy) gave the highest results. For the sweetness, taste and overall acceptability of the Sesame Dasiks, the 50% group was also the better The texture profile analyses found the optimal chewiness and hardness of the Sesame Dasik to be 0.28 ~ 0.30 and 27.22 ~ 27.44, respectively.

To determine the recovery time from noise-induced temporary threshold shift(TTS), a prospective field study was conducted at three worksites where workers are known to be exposed high level of noise. Subjects were selected according to answers on a questionnaire which inquired about otological history and previous noise exposure, including avocational, military and occupational exposures. After excluding employee with past otologic problems, recent exposure to high level noise, and under medications, total 92 employees participated in the study. Among 92 participants, complete consecutive audiometric examinations were carried out at 0∼2 hours, 5∼7 hours, 14∼16 hours after worktime noise exposure on 26 participants wearing hearing protectors and 22 participants wearing no protective devices. The difference between the hearing level 0∼2 hours after noise exposure and 5∼7 hours is statistically significant by paired t-test(p<0.01). The median recovery times calculated from the data of 22 participants wearing no protective hearing devices are 15.6 hours at 4000Hz, and 7.7 hours, 10.3 hours, 8.4 hours at 1000Hz, 2000Hz and 8000Hz respectively. These data suggest that when measuring the pure tone audiometry for noise exposed workers, at least 16 hours noise-free interval is required.

Patients with type 2 diabetes have a two-to three-times greater risk of developing car-diovascular disease than people without diabetes, and the mortality rate from cardiovascular disease is also reported to increase. The reason why cardiovascular disease is more common in type 2 diabetic patients is not only that cardiovascular risk factors are more common than non-diabetic patients, but also that diabetes itself is an independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Since rosiglitazone. which was introduced as a treatment for type 2 diabetes in 2000, has been argued to increase cardiovascular disease sluch as myocardial infarction. there were clinical trials of cardiovascular safety of it such as DREAM. ADOPT and RECORD. As a result. rosiglitazone has been banned due to the risk of cardiovascular disease. The US FDA and other regulatory agencies have required clinical trials for type 2 diabetes treatments afterward. 1n this study. it is reviewed that recently developed SGL T2 inhibitors has cardiovascular benefits as a novel mechanism of type 2 diabetes treatment. SGL T2 inhibitors inhibit the renal sodium glucose co-transporter(SGLT2), thereby reducing glucose reabsorption and increasing excretion of it. and consequently lowering blood glucose levels. Recent papers on ongoing cardiovascular-related clinical trials of SGL T2 in-hibitors such as CANVAS. CANVAS-R. CREDENCE of canagliflozin, DECLARE-TIMI 58 of dapagliflozin. and EMPA -REG outcomes of empagliflozin were examined thoroughly as well.
데침 조건과 냉해동 방법이 토란의 품질 특성에 미치는 영향

The pre-treatment conditions of taro such as blanching, freezing and thawing were studied to optimize it for producing frozen taro to improve its storage ability. Peeled taros were blanched at 100oC with hot water for 2, 3 or 4 min respectively, and then, soaked in cold water. These treated samples were analyzed their physicochemical properties such as pH, hardness and color. Four minutes blanched taros were frozen and thawed with several methods and analyzed its properties. The hardness and pH had not significant difference between raw and blanched taros. In the L* values of taro, inner part had higher than 93 unit regardless of blanching time, whereas outer part had lower values than inner part due to the activation of polyphenoloxidase. Considering the microbial level, especially total coliform, it was determined that 4 minutes blanching was the optimal pre-treatment for maintaining native quality of taro for freezing. Regarding its color change and microbial safety, faster freezing and thawing method had the lowest changes on quality of frozen taro. From these results, it was decided that -40oC freezing and thawing with running water were the best process.

<P>Hajdu-Cheney syndrome (HCS) and serpentine fibula-polycystic kidney syndrome (SFPKS) share many similarities, including craniofacial abnormalities, bony deformities, and renal involvement. Because mutations in exon 34 of NOTCH2 have been identified recently in both HCS and SFPKS patients, it has been suggested that these two syndromes be classed as the same disorder. A 3-year-old boy presented with polycystic kidneys and club feet detected during the fetal period; however, acroosteolysis and curved fibulae were not observed. His mother showed osteoporosis and had a history of compression fractures in the spine without renal anomalies. Although the same novel mutation in NOTCH2 was found in both the mother and her son, these patients displayed different clinical manifestations. In this report, we present a familial case of HCS in a boy and his mother that was suspected on physical examination and radiological findings. We speculate that HCS and SFPKS are a single disease entity with a wide spectrum of clinical manifestations associated with truncating mutations in exon 34 of NOTCH2.</P>

<P>The majority of mammalian cells have nonmotile primary cilia on their surface that act as antenna-like sensory organelles. Genetic defects that result in ciliary dysfunction are associated with obesity in humans and rodents, which suggests that functional cilia are important for controlling energy balance. Here we demonstrated that neuronal cilia lengths were selectively reduced in hypothalami of obese mice with leptin deficiency and leptin resistance. Treatment of N1 hypothalamic neuron cells with leptin stimulated cilia assembly via inhibition of the tumor suppressors PTEN and glycogen synthase kinase 3β (GSK3β). Induction of short cilia in the hypothalamus of adult mice increased food intake and decreased energy expenditure, leading to a positive energy balance. Moreover, mice with short hypothalamic cilia exhibited attenuated anorectic responses to leptin, insulin, and glucose, which indicates that leptin-induced cilia assembly is essential for sensing these satiety signals by hypothalamic neurons. These data suggest that leptin governs the sensitivity of hypothalamic neurons to metabolic signals by controlling the length of the cell's antenna.</P>
