Inhomogeneous Fatigue Characteristics of Welded Ti–6Al–4V Thick Plate by the Electron Beam Method

To recognize the specific safety problem brought by an increasing thickness, the layered microstructures, fatigue propertiesand the fractographies of a 100 mm-thick Ti–6Al–4V joint via electron beam welding were investigated. The results showthat the seam zone has textural and mechanical heterogeneities in the layered thickness regions. The mid layer has the lowestfatigue life and different fracture-position tendency (more broken in seam zone) due to the hybrid influences of the grain sizeand the phase fraction of α′ and β phases. The fatigue cracks initiate on the surfaces of fatigue specimens and grow in thetransgranular fracture mode. The fatigue deformation mode is adapted to the planar-slip mechanism with different degreesof dislocation blocking in distinct layers, which results in a “mid-layer favorite” crack initiation trend. Moreover, the midlayer has the highest crack propagation rate either.

Currently, killed-virus and modified-live porcinereproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV)vaccines are used to control porcine reproductive andrespiratory syndrome. However, both types of vaccines haveinherent drawbacks; accordingly, the development of novelPRRSV vaccines is urgently needed. Previous studies havesuggested that yeast possesses adjuvant activities, and it hasbeen used as an expression vehicle to elicit immune responsesto foreign antigens. In this report, recombinantKluyveromyces lactis expressing GP5 of HP-PRRSV(Yeast-GP5) was generated and immune responses to thisconstruct were analyzed in mice. Intestinal mucosalPRRSV-specific sIgA antibody and higher levels of IFN-γ inspleen CD4+ and CD8+ T cells were induced by oraladministration of Yeast-GP5. Additionally, Yeast-GP5administered subcutaneously evoked vigorous cell-mediatedimmunity, and PRRSV-specific lymphocyte proliferationand IFN-γ secretion were detected in the splenocytes of mice. These results suggest that Yeast-GP5 has the potential foruse as a vaccine for PRRSV in the future.
Rapid Expression of Bm46 in Bombyx mori Cell Lines, Larvae and Pupae

In this study, ORF 46 of Bombyx mod nucleopolyhedrovirus(Bm46) fused with EGFP was expressed in Bombyx mod cell lines, larvae and pupae by BmNPV Bacmid system. Bm46 and EGFP were cloned into donor plasmid pFastBacHTb, which was transformed to competent DH10B cells containing helper and BmNPV bacmid by site-specific transposition. Recombinant bacmid was used to transfected BmN-4 cells to produce the recombinant baculovirus vBm-Bm46-EGFP. Recombination virus was injected into silkworm larvae and pupae. The expression of the fusion protein was monitored by examining green fluorescence using a fluorescent microscope. Intense fluorescence in cells and silkworm was observed at 4 days post-infection, indicating the Bm46-EGFP fusion gene was expressed successfully.
Industries TFP and Environmental Regulation Cost Analysis Using Malmquist Luenberger

Environmental problem is a worldwide focus, so is the effect of environmental regulation on economy. In this paper, we constructed a model including energy consumption and integrated pollutant emissions of "Three wastes" as "bad" output. This studyr used Malmquist –Luenberger based on directional distance function to measure TFP and environmental regulation cost of Chinese 36 industries from 2001 to 2010. The result was that: From the overall analysis, the TFP was lower after considering the environmental regulation. Technological progress was the main driver of productivity growth. Environmental regulation brought about a certain cost; from the industry analysis, Difference of TFP growth and the cost of environmental regulation existed among different industries. The monopoly and heavy industries were the focus in the industry; from the annual analysis, TFP increased during "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" period, mainly drived by technological progress.

The effect of flow rate, microwave power, and humidity of purge gas on microwave regeneration ofagricultural based activated carbon saturated with toluene and acetone was investigated. To comparewith microwave heating, conductive heating was also employed to follow the effect on adsorptioncapacity, regeneration ratio, desorption rate, time and energy consumption. Desorption rate of constantpower microwave heating was 32.9% per minute, which was 20 and 40 times higher than constanttemperature microwave and conductive heating, respectively. Energy consumption of microwaveheating (constant power) was only 4.5 kJ/g. Adsorption isotherms data can be well fitted with Dubinin–Radushkevich model.
Realization of a Hydraulic Actuated Biped Robot Walking Without Double Support Phase

This paper introduced a new walking pattern generation method for biped robots without active roll joint at the ankle and described a simple walking pattern generation method for the robot without using ZMP (Zero Moment Point) information directly. Firstly, the paper introduced a hydraulic actuated biped robot with eight degrees of freedom, which had payload capacity. Secondly, the paper provided a dynamic balance control method in the lateral plane. Not as the inverted pendulum model, this control method was also available for biped robot without active roll joint at the ankle. Thirdly, in order to decrease the vibration, the paper tried to keep the robot walking with an approximate constant speed in the frontal direction. Finally, weight loading experiments in the MD.DAMS simulation environment and physical prototype empty load experiments were used to verify the effectiveness of the proposed walking pattern methods.

Large perceptual class motor load is the main production equipment of metallurgical enterprise, although has taken independent secondary substation power supply mode, but due to the influence of the impact load, Often appears on the bus voltage drop and low power factor and harmonic big problems, , this article is based on SVC compensation control mechanism, the sectional control mode, the principle of reactive power compensation and harmonic suppression methods are analyzed, , and designed a set of reactive power compensation and harmonic suppression function of comprehensive compensation device, it has been verified by actual operation, high reactive power compensation and harmonic suppression effect, and effectively suppress the busbar voltage drop and improving the quality of the power supply, created the direct economic benefits for the implementation of the enterprise.
Anomaly Detection of Network Traffic Based on Prediction and Self-Adaptive Threshold

Security problems with network are significant, such as network failures and malicious attacks. Monitoring network traffic and detect anomalies of network traffic is one of the effective manner to ensure network security. In this paper, we propose a hybrid method for network traffic prediction and anomaly detection. Specifically, the original network traffic data is decomposed into high-frequency components and low-frequency components. Then, non-linear model Relevance Vector Machine (RVM) model and ARMA (Auto Regressive Moving Average) model are employed respectively for prediction. After combining the prediction, a self-adaptive threshold method based on Central Limit Theorem (LCT) is introduced for anomaly detection. Moreover, our extensive experiments evaluate the efficiency of proposed method.
