      • The Event Detection of Serving a Ball in Sports Video

        Tennis video’s serve events were detected. In other words, athletes area were obtained to calculate particle of athletes area and particle shift in adjacent frame by using background subtraction algorithm. And then tennis video’s serve events were inferred, according to specific constraints on serve, through establishing ontology and setting SWRL rules.

      • Optimization Model of Reliable Data Storage in Cloud Environment Using Genetic Algorithm

        Massive data storage is one of the great challenges for cloud computing service, and reliable storage of sensitive data directly affects quality of storage service. In this paper, based on analysis of data storage process in cloud environment, the cost of massive data storage is considered to be comprised of data storage price, data migration and communication; and the storage reliability consists of data transmission reliability and hardware dependability. A multi-objective optimization model for reliable massive storage is proposed, in which storage cost and reliability are the objectives. Then, a genetic algorithm for solving the model is designed. Finally, experimental results indicate that the proposed model is positive and effective.

        Neutrality of International Languages

        This paper focuses on the neutrality of international languages. First, a derivation of the concept of “neutral language” from “international communicative act” is provided; it is argued that an acceptable neutral language for international communication can only be an artificial language. Certain characterizations of consciously created languages are discussed. The paper distinguishes two types of neutrality: communicative neutrality and linguistic neutrality. All planned languages are communicatively neutral, but their linguistic neutrality varies, reflecting the diversity of language design principles. Given that absolute linguistic neutrality unattainable, it becomes reasonable to construct a language based on certain control languages plus linguistic universals. We introduce the term “deneutralization” to designate a process whereby a neutral language changes into an ordinary language. The paper also shows that Esperanto has not become deneutralized.

        Linear active disturbance rejection control with torque compensation for electric load simulator

        This study proposes a design of an inner control loop for the load torque control of an electric load simulator (ELS), which is specifically designed to simulate load torque (i.e., load) for mechanical equipment. By mainly drawing on linear active disturbance rejection control, a mechatronic model-based inner loop controller of ELS is designed using measured torque to reduce the complexity of the estimator. A phase-locked loop observer is introduced to suppress the negative effects of the measurement error, thereby resulting in good performance for surplus torque suppression and the dynamic behavior of the control system. Simulations and experiments on a prototype machine are performed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control method.

        Full closed loop‑based dynamic accuracy enhancement for elastic joints

        Owing to the elasticity of transmission systems, actuated joints suff er from dynamic errors that seriously aff ect the tracking accuracy. Mainly drawing on the full closed loop control strategy, this paper focuses on the dynamic accuracy enhancement of elastic joints. Having proposed a simplifi ed dynamic error modelling method for elastic joints with cascade control, an analytical dynamic error model of the servo drive system is built, allowing the revelation of the infl uence mechanisms of semi- and full closed loop control schemes on dynamic errors. The dynamic error model indicates that a full closed loop control scheme with a large position loop gain can eff ectively reduce the elasticity-caused dynamic error. To overcome the strict limitation on the position loop gain of traditional full closed loop control, an additional speed feedback is used to improve the dynamic error reduction capability. Experimental results show that the dynamic error can be dramatically reduced, resulting in a remarkable improvement of tracking accuracy of elastic joints.

        Modeling and Analytical Calculation of a Multiphase Induction Motor in the Phase Loss Asymmetrical Transient Process

        The multiphase independent winding induction motor (MIWIM) has wide application in AC drive systems of high control redundancy necessary to ships and coal mines. An accurate analysis of its phase loss transient process is a prerequisite for the phase loss fault-tolerant control. When a phase loss occurs, the internal magnetic fi elds of the MIWIM are asymmetric. In this case, conventional coordinate transformation or resultant space vector cannot be used to reduce the mathematical model of the motor phase loss to a lower order. Using a fi ve-phase induction motor as an object of study, this paper presents a full-order mathematical model suitable for the asymmetric state in the α – β –z1–z2–z3 coordinate system. The factor analysis of the frequency domain and no consideration of its small value make it possible to reduce the order of the analytical model. According to the constraint relationship between voltage and current, an analytical analysis is made of the motor dynamic characteristics after a phase loss. The results are in agreement with those of numerical simulation and experiment, which verify that the phase loss asymmetric transient model and analytic method of the MIWIM are feasible and eff ective.

        Ontology developing process has aroused a lot of controversy among knowledge engineers and knowledge users. The recent surges on ontology building methodologies and practical ontology applications have explored a broad spectrum of knowledge management challenges. On the one hand, the abundant methodology theories provide us with a set of useful heuristic rules, from which we get the overview of ontology building process. But on the other hand, every research groups would like to justify their theories by listing their specific characteristics and unique method when approaching the right way. However, there is still no one “correct” way or methodology for developing ontologies. In this case, the methods used to evaluate only a subset of specific domain do not make any sense to the commonsense users. As a result, a comprehensive understanding of domain ontology is urgent and necessary.

      • Parallel Distributed Acceleration Based on MPI and OpenMP Technology

        In order to speed up data processing in a signal monitoring and evaluation system, we need to use a parallel method. It is obvious that the traditional stand-alone store has no ability to satisfy the performance requirements, and the use of single core CPU is unable to content the severe requirement of speed. Consequently, multi-machine parallel acceleration technique based on MPI (cooperated with multi-core parallel acceleration technique based on OpenMP) can effectively solve all above problems. In this paper, a parallel distributed acceleration framework based on MPI and Open MP technology was given. Experimental tests were carried to verify our proposal. Finally, some suggestions to speed up the data processing was given.

        Existing methodologies and practical ontology development experiences have explored a broad spectrum of knowledge management challenges. Each has its own characteristics and evaluates only a subset of specific domain. However, there is still no one “correct” way or methodology for developing ontologies. In this paper, we described a methodology for domain driven ontology development, covering the whole lifecycle from the formalization of domain to the evolution of ontologies.

        중국어 ‘上’의 허사 쓰임에 나타난 한국인 학습자의 습득 양상 연구

        This paper has investigated Korean Learners’ acquisition of each semantic type of ‘Shang’ in the constructions of ‘noun + Shang’ and ‘verb/adjective + Shang’ by learner corpus. The research results suggest that: (1) There is no significant difference in Korean Learners’ total acquisition achievements of ‘Shang’ after nouns and ‘Shang’ after verbs or adjectives. (2) In the constructions of ‘noun + Shang’ and ‘verb/Adjective + Shang’, Korean learners’ acquisition achievements of each semantic type of ‘Shang’ are different, which are mainly affected by their Chinese proficiency, but the scope of influence is different. (3) The reasons for the differences in Korean Learners’ acquisition achievements of the function word ‘Shang’ are mostly shaped by target item complexity, mother tongue influence and input frequency.
