        Robust Consensus for Networked Mechanical Systems with Coupling Time Delay

        This paper studies the state consensus for a class of networked nonlinear mechanical systems with coupling time delay. In particular, robust consensus protocols for both deterministic and uncertain systems with time delay are investigated. For deterministic systems, we develop a P-like protocol which allows for variable coupling time delay. We show that it is sufficient to have only the relative position information together with a damping control term, whereas the relative velocity information is not needed for state consensus. Then, an adaptive robust control protocol is proposed for uncertain sys-tems with unknown parameters in the system dynamics and arbitrary constant coupling time delays. By introducing the passivity-based framework, we demonstrate that state consensus is still reachable in this case. Finally, a numerical example is included to illustrate the obtained results.

        생물학적인 셀 인젝션 기술은 유전자 주입, 시험관 배양, 인공수정 및 신약개발 분야에서 광범위하게 사용되어오고 있는 기술이다. 생물공학에서 다루는 셀 인젝션 기술은 크게 착생세포 인젝션과 서스펜디드 셀 인젝션으로 구분할 수 있다. 최근 상용화 장비로 출시되고 있는 것들은 착생세포에 대한 자동 인젝션 시스템이 대부분을 차지하고 있다. 반면, 서스펜디드 셀 인젝션 시스템의 경우는 비교적 최근들어 자동화 장비 및 방법론의 개발에 대한 논의가 이루어지고 있는 실정으로 실제 수많은 연구자들의 노력에 힘입어 서스펜디드 셀을 대상으로 한 통합 자동화셀 인젝션 시스템의 개발이 가속화되고 있기는 하지만 이에 대한 만족할 만한 성과는 아직 이루어 지지 않고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문은 서스펜디드 셀을 대상으로 한 인젝션 시스템 개발에 관한 것으로 특히 셀 홀딩 시스템과 최적의 인젝션 피펫 궤적을 결정하기 위한 시스템 개발에 관한 것이다. 본 논문에서 다루어지는 서스펜디드 셀은 통합 자동화를 위하여 특별히 고안된 셀홀딩 시스템에 의하여 배열의 형태로 고정되며, 셀 인젝션 시스템은 엠브리오와 인젝션 피펫을 이미지 프로세싱 기술에 의하여 인식하고 피펫의 인젝션 궤적을 결정하는 것을 포함하고 있다.

        The Analysis of Nonstandard English Grammar Used in the Chinese NNS-NNS Interaction

        With the rapid development of Asian English language teaching (ELT), studies on how nonnative speakers use English varieties when communicating with other nonnative speakers have drawn attention. China English used by Chinese speakers of English is attracting great interest from English educators. Adopting the methods such as error analysis and conversation analysis, this study aims to analyze the nonstandard grammar items of China English which has appeared in peer-peer interactions among Chinese college interlocutors. This study also aims to check the intelligibility of the nonstandard grammar forms and to find out which types of triggers may cause communication difficulties in China English. The results of the study show that nonstandard grammar items are widely used in Chinese college students’ peer-peer interactions. This study also shows that the nonstandard grammar items seldom lead to communication difficulties. Based on the analysis, pedagogical implications and suggestions are made for the improvement of teaching nonstandard forms of China English.

        Sulphonated Reduced Graphene Oxide: A High Performance Anode Material for Lithium Ion Battery

        In this work, the sulfonated reduced graphene oxide (SRGO) was synthesized and proposed as an enhanced anode material for lithium ion battery (LIB). The result shows that the SRGO has an improved battery performance (i.e., ~341.7 mAh/g and ~190.6 mAh/g corresponds to SRGO and RGO at the 100th cycle with a current density of 200 mA/g) and superior cycling stability compared with pristine reduced graphene oxide (RGO). These are attributed to the improved specific surface area (448.35 m2 /g) and conductivity (2.5 x 10-4 S/m). Further, the SRGO exhibits good rate capability and excellent energy density at various current densities ranging from 50 mAh/g to 2000 mAh/g, suggesting that SRGO could be a promising anode material for high capacity LIB.

        <P>Sensors that reproduce the complex characteristics of cutaneous receptors in the skin have important potential in the context of artificial systems for controlled interactions with the physical environment. Multimodal responses with high sensitivity and wide dynamic range are essential for many such applications. This report introduces a simple, three-dimensional type of microelectromechanical sensor that incorporates monocrystalline silicon nanomembranes as piezoresistive elements in a configuration that enables separate, simultaneous measurements of multiple mechanical stimuli, such as normal force, shear force, and bending, along with temperature. The technology provides high sensitivity measurements with millisecond response times, as supported by quantitative simulations. The fabrication and assembly processes allow scalable production of interconnected arrays of such devices with capabilities in spatiotemporal mapping. Integration with wireless data recording and transmission electronics allows operation with standard consumer devices.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>

        Biochemical Properties of Skin Collagens Isolated from Black Carp (Mylopharyngodon piceus)

        Acid-soluble collagen (ASC) and pepsin-soluble collagen (PSC) were extracted with the yield of 15.5 and 26.5% on the basis of dry weight from the skin of black carp (Mylopharyngodon piceus). ASC and PSC were similar in amino compositions and subunit compositions,but they were slightly different in the secondary structure. Both of ASC and PSC, either rehydrated in distilled water or in acetic acid, had a lower denaturation temperature than pig skin collagen (PPSC), but their denaturation temperature were higher than that of collagens from other freshwater fish. Intrinsic viscosity of different collagens decreased in the order of PPSC>PSC>ASC. Both of ASC and PSC showed only partial degradation in collagenase solution,but they revealed more sensitive to collagenase compared with PPSC. Black carp skin collagens did not induce a significant cytotoxic effect according to the results of in vitro cytotoxicity test.

        Distributed Finite-time Regulation of a Class of Networked Heterogeneous Multi-agent Systems

        In this paper, we investigate the finite-time regulation problem for heterogeneous multiagent system composed of linear first-order, second-order integrator agents and nonlinear Euler- Lagrange (EL) dynamical agents. Based on homogeneity approach, a continuous finite-time controller is designed. A distinctive feature of this work is to address the finite-time consensus problem of firstorder, second-order integrator agents and nonlinear EL agents in a unified theoretical framework. Simulation results are also provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the controller.

        Silica Nano-particle Anneal Treatment and Its Effect on Chemical Mechanical Polishing

        Introduction: Chemical mechanical polishing is the only one technology to obtain global planarization, which is widely applied to polish silicon, copper dual damascene structure, high/low K dielectric materials, tungsten plugs, poly-silicon gates and shallow trench isolation structure. SiO2 is widely used as abrasive for its superior properties like stability, suspension property and low viscosity There are lots of studies on silica properties. However, the detailed silica surface, inner characteristic and its effect on polishing performance are still unclear. we must also explore the silica nano-particle tiny structure difference, so we designed an experiment that we anneal the colloid silica and re-dispersed it to analyze the variety of particles properties and its influences on CMP performance. Materials: The water glass was purchased from the market. KOH (90%) and H2SO4 (98%) were purchased commercially from Shanghai Aladdin Bio-Chem technology Co., Ltd. All reagents were of analytical grade and used without further purification. Method: Diluted KOH or H2SO4 were added to 1 wt% annealed silica slurry to adjust pH value to 11.0. The slurry was milled in the polishing process. Arsenic doped 4 inch (100) silicon wafer was used to polish. The structural and morphological evolution of silica nano-particles induced by heat treatment are studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-Ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectrum (FTIR), differential thermal (DTA) and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), which disclose the external and internal structure.
