Biochemical Properties of Skin Collagens Isolated from Black Carp (Mylopharyngodon piceus)
Yuanjun Jia,Haibo Wang,Haiyin Wang,Yunyan Li,Min Wang,Jian Zhou 한국식품과학회 2012 Food Science and Biotechnology Vol.21 No.6
Acid-soluble collagen (ASC) and pepsin-soluble collagen (PSC) were extracted with the yield of 15.5 and 26.5% on the basis of dry weight from the skin of black carp (Mylopharyngodon piceus). ASC and PSC were similar in amino compositions and subunit compositions, but they were slightly different in the secondary structure. Both of ASC and PSC, either rehydrated in distilled water or in acetic acid, had a lower denaturation temperature than pig skin collagen (PPSC), but their denaturation temperature were higher than that of collagens from other freshwater fish. Intrinsic viscosity of different collagens decreased in the order of PPSC>PSC>ASC. Both of ASC and PSC showed only partial degradation in collagenase solution, but they revealed more sensitive to collagenase compared with PPSC. Black carp skin collagens did not induce a significant cytotoxic effect according to the results of in vitro cytotoxicity test.
Modeling of ammonia-based wet flue gas desulfurization in the spray scrubber
Yong Jia,Qin Zhong,Xuyou Fan,Qianqiao Chen,Haibo Sun 한국화학공학회 2011 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.28 No.4
A mathematical model of ammonia-based wet flue gas desulfurization process was developed based on the double film theory. The calculated results of the desulfurization system for two 220 t·h^−1 boilers per unit by this model were compared to that of corresponding measured data. It was found that the calculated results agree well with the measured data for the operating conditions of pH, liquid/gas ratio and SO_2 concentration. This model can provide predictions of the absorption performance of an ammonia-based wet flue gas desulfurization process and appears to be helpful for designing scrubbers for SO_2 absorption with ammonia absorbent.

In order to explore the Influencing Factors of Switching Intention by Mobile Number Portability .We build up a structural equation model for Chinese mobile customers’ influence factors on MNP intention. Including competitive attraction, subjective norm, and policy perception, customer satisfaction, switching barriers, network quality, awareness rates, perceived service quality, usage habits and switching cost. According to empirical analysis, we find that customers with different perceive levels in MNP polices have significant differences in switching intention. And through the analysis and comparison, we find that the influence factors and the path coefficients of the customers’ switching intention are also different when they have different perceive levels in MNP policy.
Computational design towards energy efficient optimization in overconstrained robotic limbs
Gu Yuping,Wang Ziqian,Feng Shihao,Sun Haoran,Lu Haibo,Pan Jia,Wan Fang,Song Chaoyang 한국CDE학회 2023 Journal of computational design and engineering Vol.10 No.5
Legged robots are constantly evolving, and energy efficiency is a major driving factor in their design. However, combining mechanism efficiency and trajectory planning can be challenging. This work proposes a computational optimization framework for optimizing leg design during basic walking while maximizing energy efficiency. We generalize the robotic limb design as a four-bar linkage-based design pool and optimize the leg using an evolutionary algorithm. The leg configuration and design parameters are optimized based on user-defined objective functions. Our framework was validated by comparing it to measured data on our prototype quadruped robot for forward trotting. The Bennett robotic leg was advantageous for omni-directional locomotion with enhanced energy efficiency.

The Miocene aged Shanwang Formation from the Shanwang National Geopark in China represents a succession of lacustrine diatomaceous shales containing an abundant and diverse biota with lagerstätte fossilization of soft tissues. To date, the Shanwang Formation has not been investigated for cyclostratigraphy nor has it been dated with high precision methods. Now we use thorium data as a paleoenvironmental and paleoclimatic proxy to conduct a detailed cyclostratigraphic analysis. A new and simple cyclostratigraphic method, Wavelet Scale Series Analysis (WSSA) is developed to recognize Milankovitch cycles. A total of three short eccentricity and fifteen precession cycles are identified; obliquity cycles are not apparent. In the sedimentary succession, the corresponding precession and short eccentricity cycles are 1.17 m and 4.98 m thick respectively, with this verified by Correlation Coefficient (COCO) analysis and Multitaper-Method (MTM) spectral analysis. We estimate the studied interval was deposited over a duration of 0.3 Myr with a depositional rate of c. 5.7 cm/kyr. Paleomagnetic and radio isotope dating data shows that the diatomaceous shale was deposited during Chron C5En, which places it at approximately 18.5 Ma during the Burdigalian stage of the Early Miocene, rather than in the Middle Miocene as previously thought. The Shanwang lagerstätte biota therefore predates the Middle Miocene Climate Optimum (MMCO) and did not form within it. The geological time scale with a high resolution of 20 kyr was set accordingly.
