In this paper, a distributed game server system architecture for massively multiplayer online games is designed and implemented. For load distribution, the entire game region is partitioned into a set of smaller regions. Then each partitioned region is implemented by a game process. A connection server is a bridge between game clients and servers. Communication loads can be distributed by use of connection servers. The proposed system is implemented on a FreeBSD environment.

This paper proposes a heuristic load balancing method for multiprocessor systems. The method minimizes the number of idle links to distribute load traffic and reduces its communication cost. Each processor iteratively tries to transfer unit load to/from every neighbor processors. However, real load transfer is collectively done after complete load traffic calculation to minimize useless traffic. The proposed method can be employed in various interconnection topologies. In this paper, it is applied to general graph environments. For performance evaluation, simulation studies are performed. The performance of proposed method is compared to those of two well-known algorithms. The results show that the proposed method always balances the loads perfectly. Furthermore, it reduces the communication costs by 13-42% compared to existing algorithms.

As internet becomes popular, it is common that embedded systems support network interfaces such as Ethernet. Many commercial real time operating system can handle various network interfaces. But they are too expensive to be used on cheap controller systems and need too much resources such as memory. In this paper, a microprocessor board with Ethernet controller is developed. uCOS and TCP/IP stack called uCIP which is based on BSD code is ported on that board. uCIP supports various related protocols such as ARP, ICMP, IP, UDP and TCP. It operates stably by fixing some bugs in original uCIP. DHCP is implemented and added to original uCIP.

본 논문에서는 WAP을 지원하는 휴대폰을 가지고 무선 인터넷 서비스를 제공하는데 사용되는 WML 문서를 WYSIWYG방식으로 손쉽게 생성하고 유지, 관리할 수 있는 도구와 효과적인 WML 컨텐츠 사이트를 구축하기 위한 사이트 빌더의 설계와 구현에 대해 소개한다. 그리고 요즈음 웹사이트에서 많이 서비스해 주는 웹 커뮤니티 구축 서비스와 유사한 서비스를 휴대폰을 통해서도 지원 가능하도록 해주는 기능을 서비스에 첨가하기 위한 모듈도 설계, 구현하였다.

Recent studies have suggested that integrin (CR3) participates in the signal transduction pathways of certain GPI-anchored phagocytic receptors including $Fc{\gamma}RIIIB$. One consequence of this functional linkage is an inducible association between CR3 and cortical microfilaments that is triggered by $Fc{\gamma}RIIIB$ binding to immobilized immune complexes (IC). That this signaling event requires the co-expression of $Fc{\gamma}RIIIB$ with CR3 was documented by the use of NIH 3T3 transfectants expressing both CR3 and $Fc{\gamma}RIIIB$ (clone 3-23), CR3 alone (clone 3-19), and $Fc{\gamma}RIIIB$ alone (clone 3-15). Pretreatment of 3-23 cells with protein kinase inhibitors such as staurosporine and methyl 2,5-dihydroxycinnamate (MDHC) blocked IC-stimulated CR3 microfilament proximity without affecting the extent to which $Fc{\gamma}RIIIB$ constrains the lateral membrane mobility of a subset of CR3 on the cell surface (as measured in fluorescence recovery after photobleaching experiments). These data support that CR3 and $Fc{\gamma}RIIIB$ molecules are physically and functionally associated and that ligation of FcgRIIIB triggers CR3-dependent signal transduction.
Optimal condition for efficient DNA transfer in filamentous cyanobacteria by electroporation

Filamentous cyanobacteria are an ecologically important group of bacteria because they are able to provide both organic carbon fixed nitrogen that can support the nutritional requirements for other microorganisms. Because of their prokaryotic nature, they can also be used as potentially powerful model systems for the analysis of oxygenic photosynthesis and nitrogen fixation. Gene transfer is an indispensable procedure for genetic analysis of filamentous cyanobacteria. Electroporation was used to introduce foreign DNA into cyanobacterial cells. In experiments designed to optimize the electroporation technique, the effects of the field strength (amplitude of pulse) and time constant (duration of pulse), DNA concentration and host restriction/modification of DNA on the efficiency of electro-transformation were investigated. The results of this research revelaed that a high voltage pulse of short duration was effective for the electro-transformation of Anabaene sp. M131. The maximal number of transformants was obtained at 6 kV/cm with a pulse duration of 5 msec. The efficiency of electro-transformation was also sensitive to concenetration of DNA; even small amounts of DNA (0.01 .mu.g/ml) were able to gie a large number of transformants (1.0 * 10$\^$3/ cfu/ml).

The purpose of this study was to analyze more economically efficient photovoltatic power business between the photovoltatic generation business and photovoltatic supply business. The study was based on social basis facility the infrastructure investment law and the study was applied to the public facility. The LCC model was developed to compare with the different alternatives which were the photovoltatic generation business and photovoltatic supply business. The sensitivity analysis was used for the assumptions of the LCC model by Monte Carlo Simulation(MCS). The LCC model will be able to suggest more economically efficient photovoltatic power business between the photovoltatic generation business and photovoltatic supply business.
