        대부분의 사람들에게 변화는 어렵거나 불편한 것이다. 익숙하지 않다는 것이 사람을 불안하게 하며 아무도 이런 불안감을 좋아하지 않는다. 새로운 환경과 새로운 경험은 매우 흥미로울수도 있지만 모르는 것을 접하게 되면 어느 정도 불안감을 느끼게 된다. 현재 게임 산업은 보다 큰 타 산업시장과 마찬가지로 다소 불안정하다. 대부분 직업은 불안정하며 능력 향상을 원하거나 프로젝트가 종료되었을 때 어떤 경우에는 직업을 불가피하게 변경해야 한다.

      • Expression and Function of the ultraspiracle(usp) Gene during Development of Drosophila melanogaster

        The usp locus encodes a member of the nuclear hormone receptor superfamily in Drosophila melanogaster that interacts with EcR(ecdysone receptor) to mediate ecdysteroid-induced gene expression. A 2.7-kb usp mRNA was detected at all developmental times tested, although its abundance varied. Among premetamorphic stages, both the 2.7-kb transcript and Usp protein attained their highest levels in the late third larval instar. The 2.7-kb usp transcript was also found in adult stages and a 1.2-kb transcript was detected in the polyadenylated RNA fraction of both mature adult females and early embryos. Aneuploids carrying two usp mutant alleles and a putative variegating ???? allele often developed deformities of the adult wing disc that apparently resulted from mutational disruption of usp activity before metamorphosis and whose frequency was affected by maternal genotype. Both of the recessive lethal usp mutations associated with this "cleft thorax" phenotype involved substitutions of conserved arginine residues in the DNA-binding domain, although the frequency of the phenotype was not the same for the two alleles. Both mutant proteins retained the ability to form heterodimers with EcR in vitro but showed reduced affinity for an ecdysone response element.

      • The Insuring State: Japanese Oil Import Security and the Middle East

        This article investigates Japanese approaches to managing oil import security in the period 1970–2005 by developing a framework that integrates portfolio and inducement approaches to managing import security. It argues that Japan is an insuring state and, in the context of continuing asymmetric dependence, seeks to ensure its security not only through portfolio strategies that aim to reduce systemic and specific risks, but also through political and economic inducements that reinforce those portfolio strategies. Empirical evidence suggests that these strategies have enhanced Japan's insurance cover against oil unanticipated supply disruptions and has enhanced its relative security over the period. The Japanese case suggests the importance of exploring portfolio strategies and structures as power in addition to other forms of non-military power, such as economic aid and diplomacy, in understanding international economic security.

        Progresses in Nonlinear Glass Research

        본 논문은 필리핀에서 무용을 하는 청각장애 예술가가 직면한 몇몇 도전들을 홍보하려 한다. 그리하여 본 연구는 주류 공연예술, 특별히 무용의 영역에서 관객의 개발과 수용을 위한 청각장애 공연과 실천의 적용과 병행하여, 작업상황과 기회들을 명료히 하고 논의하려 한다. 본 연구는 젊은 필리핀 청각장애 무용가의 가능성을 믿으며, 무용의 움직임을 탐험하는 방법으로서의 신호를 발견하고, 젊은 예술가들이 자신의 장애를 넘어서도록 격려하고, 공연예술을 통해 젊은 필리핀 청각장애 커뮤니티의 인식을 개선하는데 초점을 둔다. 결론적으로 청각장애예술인들은 공연예술계의 유연하고 수용적인 분위기를 만들고, 청각예술인을 효과적으로 대변하여 사회와 청각장애인커뮤니티에 대한 관객의 인식을 확장하는데 중요한 역할을 한다.

        Radiologically inserted gastrostomy complications: A case series

        Radiologically inserted gastrostomy (RIG) is performed in patients who cannot safely or sufficiently receive oral nutrition; however, postoperative complications are not uncommon. The risk of major complications such as peritonitis, migration, infection, malposition, and bleeding is small but appreciable, although mortality as a direct consequence of gastrostomy placement is rare. In this case series, we describe the major gastrostomy complications (arterial haemorrhage, gastric fluid leak, peritonitis, RIG site infection, ileus and colon perforation) that occurred in four patients at our hospital over a 27-month period in which 152 RIG procedures were performed (an incidence rate of 2.6%). Herein, we describe the gastrostomy procedures, clinical course, and surgical corrections required for these patients before discussing the complication risks for common gastrostomy procedures and potential methods to reduce and prevent such complications.

      • Quantitative secretome and glycome of primary human adipocytes during insulin resistance

        <P>Adipose tissue is both an energy storage depot and an endocrine organ. The impaired regulation of the secreted proteins of adipose tissue, known as adipocytokines, observed during obesity contributes to the onset of whole-body insulin resistance and the pathobiology of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). In addition, the global elevation of the intracellular glycosylation of proteins by O-linked β-N-acetylglucosamine (O-GlcNAc) via either genetic or pharmacological methods is sufficient to induce insulin resistance in both cultured cells and animal models. The elevation of global O-GlcNAc levels is associated with the altered expression of many adipocytokines. We have previously characterized the rodent adipocyte secretome during insulin sensitive and insulin resistant conditions. Here, we characterize and quantify the secretome and glycome of primary human adipocytes during insulin responsive and insulin resistant conditions generated by the classical method of hyperglycemia and hyperinsulinemia or by the pharmacological manipulation of O-GlcNAc levels. Using a proteomic approach, we identify 190 secreted proteins and report a total of 20 up-regulated and 6 down-regulated proteins that are detected in both insulin resistant conditions. Moreover, we apply glycomic techniques to examine (1) the sites of N-glycosylation on secreted proteins, (2) the structures of complex N- and O-glycans, and (3) the relative abundance of complex N- and O-glycans structures in insulin responsive and insulin resistant conditions. We identify 91 N-glycosylation sites derived from 51 secreted proteins, as well as 155 and 29 released N- and O-glycans respectively. We go on to quantify many of the N- and O-glycan structures between insulin responsive and insulin resistance conditions demonstrating no significant changes in complex glycosylation in the time frame for the induction of insulin resistance. Thus, our data support that the O-GlcNAc modification is involved in the regulation of adipocytokine secretion upon the induction of insulin resistance in human adipocytes.</P>
