This study was carried out to minimize the lifting force and to design the slim sized frame of a height adjustment mechanism. This unit is designed for the display devices in order to enhance the ergonomics for effective height adjustment as well as to achieve much slimmer frame for the pedestal. A tolerance analysis of 6 sigma was applied to achieve smooth lift at design stage not to change the tolerance specification of gap several times in a roller type of lifting mechanism at mass production stage. The specification of minimum gap and the target of production yield ratio were agreed with a quality team before tooling. A DFSS simulation on drawings had been done with reasonable tolerance and achievable standard deviation(σ) several times until the target spec of gap and yield ratio was met. Once tolerance and deviation(σ) were fixed tooling start was done successfully. A CAE method was applied to achieve a slim design. Design parameters were frozen when those parameters matched the reference strength data of standard model. Through those tolerance analysis and CAE simulation the number of tool modification was reduced and production yield ratio was raised up without arguing quality specification at production stage in the end.
고출력 다이오드 레이저를 이용한 SKD11 표면 열처리 특성

An experimental investigation with high power diode laser system was carried out to study the effect of surface heat treatment on the SKD11. The surface heat treatment characteristics of the laser beam were evaluated using hardness tests, optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS). Results indicated that the Hardness were changed by beam size, focal length, feed rates. The micro grain structure was observed retained austenite grain at hardened zone and globular cementite grain at fine grain zone and base metal zone by optical microscopy. The intensive X-ray diffraction patterns of (110)-(200)-(211) was detected on the surface and the hardened surface intensity level was bigger than the unhardened surface. The intensive X-ray diffraction patterns of (110)-(200)-(211) was detected hardened surface and the hardened surface distributed plenty of carbon density than metal zone.
MRAC를 이용한 로보트 매니퓰레이터의 制御性能 向上에 관한 硏究 : Model Reference Adaptive Controller

This paper is study on trajectory property of 6 DOF robot manipulator. This paper used to adaptive control and p-d(proportional-derivated) control for control methods, Simulation robot is stanford 6-dof robot manipulatr of stanford university. Main results obtained through this paper are summarized as followings. At each links, adaptive control has more excellant control than p-d control. At 1-st link, adaptive control and p-d control has a little error at 3.0 second. At 2 nd link, adaptive control and p-d control has a little error than other links without 3-rd link, At 3-rd link, two control methods has a superiority control results than other links with two control methods. At 5-st link, p-d control error is a most great than other links. Therefore, the adaptive control applications for 6-dof robot manipulator has a very excellant capability than applying classical p-d control.

Coulomb’s theory has been usually used in practice for design of retaining walls. This theory assumed that the lateral earth pressure was a triangular distribution, because the point of applying the thrust could not be abtained straightforward. However, the results of laboratory and filed tests proved that the lateral earth pressure was not a triangular distribution. In this study, for gravity walls with inclined backface, backfilled by c - ø soils with inclined surface, an analytical method for earth pressure has been derived. This method applied the flat arching concept and the Coulomb’s wedge, under drained condition, for the cases of considering tension crack. In addition, this paper is dealt with comparing the new analytical solution with existed theories for some cases.

Objectives : We aimed to provide standard data of the individual tests in 7MS that could generalized for Korean elderly accor-ding to age and education. We also evaluated diagnostic efFicacy of each test in 7MS. Methods : Data on demographic characteristics of 311 normals were gathered for comparison. We also assessed two differences between normal and dementia group in individual tests of 7MS. Results : All individual tests of 7MS showed significant differences in sex, age, and education, except for ECR. But there were no significant differences in sex controlling age and education. As a result of ROC curve, the ability of the ECR test to discriminate between AD and normal subject appeared superior. The scores of the individual tests of 7MS among CDR 0.5 and 1 group and normal group were compared. It was also found that the ECR test stands out among 7MS tests. Conclusion : The 7MS, Particularly ECR, had the highest sensitivity and specificity for diagnosis of AD as well as early de-mentia. It suggests that the individual tests of 7MS are useful to predict early dementia, without using the complex logistic re-gression equation.
