The output power fluctuations of renewable energy power plants such as wind turbine generators and photovoltaic systems result in frequency deviations and terminal voltage fluctuations. Furthermore, these power fluctuations also affect the turbine shaftings of diesel generators and gas-turbine generators which are the main power generation systems on isolated islands. Therefore, it is important to achieve torsional torque suppression. Since the measurement of torsional torque is technically difficult, and there is an uncertainty in the mechanical constants of the shaft torsional system. This paper presents an estimation system that estimates torsional torque by using a developed $H_{\infty}$ observer. In addition to the above functions, the proposed shaft torque observer incorporates a parameter identification system that aims to improve the estimation accuracy. The simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed $H_{\infty}$ observer and the parameter identification.

류큐 고전예능의 ‘전승자’는 누구인가? : 고전예능 승계와 정치성

오늘날 일본 국가에 의해 중요무형문화재로써 지정된 류큐음악과 류큐무용, 그리고 구미오도리(組踊)는 그 역사를 류큐왕조기까지 거슬러 올라가는 것으로 여겨지며 류큐지역을 대표하는 전통예능으로 여겨지고 있으나, 그 내실은 일본의 메이지시기에 오키나와가 근대화하는 과정에서 ‘전통의 창출’ 통해 만들어진 전통에 불과하다. 본고에서는 메이지기 고전예능을 둘러싼 예능의 ‘전승자’의 변화에 주목하여, 류큐고전예능을 둘러싼 근대사를 류큐처분, 그리고 태평양전쟁이라는 두가지 커다란 전환점을 축으로 고찰하였다. 구체적으로는 메이지기 폐번치현 이후 류큐고전예능의 대중화와 ‘예능가문’의 아이덴터티의 형성과정, 고전예능의 ‘전승자’로써 여성무용가의 탄생에 대해 살펴보고, 전후에는 유파의 등장과 사범면허제도를 축으로 한 새로운 계승을 위한 시스템이 형성되는 과정에 대해 고찰하였다. The Ryukyuan classical performing arts have been designated as Important Intangible Cultural Properties of Japan. It is believed that they are inherited from the Ryukyu Kingdom period (from the 15th to the 19th century). However, the Ryukyuan classical performing arts were not “traditional” form of art, but invented tradition in the modernization of Okinawa since the Meiji-period. This paper aims to rethink the modern history of the Ryukyuan classical performing arts by focusing on the two turning points in the modern Okinawan history: “Ryukyu-shobun” (the forced annexation of Ryukyu into Japan) and the post-war period under the American occupation. The topics such as the popularization of the traditional performing arts, the indentity transformation of the successors, the appearance of the female performing artists, and the formation of the “Ryuha” (schools) are considered.
행동기반 효율향상 프로그램의 에너지 절감효과 측정 -가정에너지보고서 사례를 바탕으로-

가정에너지보고서는 대표적인 유틸리티의 행동기반 효율향상 사업이다. 가정에너지보고서로 인한 에너지 절감량을 추정하기 위해서는 미터링 데이터를 기반으로 하는 통계학적 분석이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 해외 유틸리티가 가정에너지보고서의 성과검증(M&V)에서 주로 사용하는 통계 방법론을 소개한다. 먼저 시차종속변수 회귀모형과 선형 고정효과 회귀모형을 이용하여 참여 고객과 미참여 고객의 에너지 사용량 차이를 계산하여 절감량을 산정한다. 이후에 다른 효율향상 프로그램에 참여하거나 과거에 참여했던 고객의 경우 타 효율향상 프로그램에서 발생한 절감량을 제외하여 전체 절감량을 조정하여 최종 절감량을 결정한다. 향후에는 날씨 정규화, 시간에 따른 가정에너지보고서의 효과 지속성을 반영하여 절감 성과검증의 정확도가 개선될 것으로 기대된다.

Mean-shift Tracker with Face-adjusted Model

Mean-shift algorithm shows robust performances in various object-tracking technologies including face tracking. Due to its robustness and accuracy, mean-shift algorithm is regarded as one of the best ways to apply in object-tracking technology in computer vision fields. However, it has a drawback of getting into a bottleneck state when faced with a speedy object moving beyond its window size within one image frame interval time. The time required to calculate mean-shift vector could be much lessened with lesser memory when color model is adjusted to the previously known target information. This paper shows the building process of target-adjusted model with a non-uniform quantization. The target color model dealt in this paper is the one used for deriving mean-shift vector. It is a kernel model containing both the color and distance information. This paper gives scheme to efficiently deal with color information in the model. Through a proper selection of color bins, unimportant color values were reduced to a small amount. As a result, the computing time of the mean-shift vector in face-tracking was shortened while maintaining robustness and accuracy.

The purpose of this study was to introduce the differential standard of the types of Acori Graminei Rhizoma. We established the classificatory standard according to the external and internal morphology for the several types of Acori Graminei Rhizoma. 1. External shape: Acorus gramineus has smaller size and fibroidal section. A. calamus has bigger size and cancellate section. A. tatarinowii has middle size and fibroidal section. Anemone altaica has very small long-spindle shape and flat section that has 6-12 row of vascular bundle. 2. Internal shape: Acorus gramineus has some bundle sheath fiber, but A. calamus has not. A. tatarinowii has many calcium oxalate crystalloid around bundle sheath. Anemone altaica has obscure cambium. All sample except A. altaica, in the mass, has scattered bundle, thin cell wall, broad cortex and well-developed endodermis. For the future, such results will be used as the basic source of additional research, and a far-reaching comparative study is needed to distinguish between many kinds of same genus-degree of relatedness.
