        The purpose of this paper is to study retrofit methods for improving the flexural capacity of RC shear wall. Four RC shear wall specimens are designed and strengthened by using reinforcement or steel plate. Cyclic loads are applied to the specimen under constant axial force. Test result shows that the strength and ductility of specimen is improved when it is strengthened using reinforcement or steel plate. The specimen retrofitted by using steel plate shows high ductility. However the strength contribution of one is not much. It is shown that the most effective method is both to install the additional flexural reinforcement and to confine the ends of wall.

      • 인슐린 비의존형 당뇨병 환자에서 24시간 혈압 변동 및 요중 알부민 배설량에 관한 연구

        Recently, blood pressure(BP) starts to increase in close relationship to development of persistent microalbuminuria in diabetes. Thus, author studied 24-hour BP changes in diabetics compared to the those in nondiabetics and the changes of urinary albumin excretion (UAE) according to 24-hour BP changes in diabetics with microalbuminuria. Twenty-four-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring(ABPPM) was performed in 38 NIDDM patients(18 normotensives and 20 hypertensives) and in 37 control subjects without diabetes(18 normotensives and 19 hypertensives) . Also 24-hour ABPM was performed in 38 diabetics (20 microalbuminurit and 18 normoalbuminuric). The analysis of individual recordings allowed us to detect an impaired circadian pattern(the disappearance of the nocturnal BP decrease or a paradoxical BP increase) in 30% of the normotensive and 31% of the hypertensive diabetics. Twenty-four-hour ABPM(night systolic/diastolic ±SD mmHg) was significantly higher in microabluminuric(124.2 ±11.4/75.1±8.2 mmHg) than in normoalbuminuric subject, (114.0±7.6/64.6±6.6 mmHg, p<0.05). This study suggests that not only awaking BP but also especially day-night minimum SBP decrease are highly responsible for the renal impairment in NIDDM patients, unrelation to hypertension. Thus. ABPM reflects the association between UAE and blood pressure in diabetics more precisely than clinical measurements. and a significant correlation exists between rate of increase in Urinary albumin excretion and blood pressure in diabetics.

      • 층화추출법에 의한 양적속성의 확률화응답모형

        In this paper, we purpose the stratified randomized response model with quantitative attribute in the survey of social or individual sensitivity. We consider three types of sample allocations under the fixed cost, which are the propotional allocation, the optimum allocation, and the Neyman allocation. We compare thier efficiency using the variance of each allocation method. We find the stratified Neyman randomized response model is superior to the the stratified propotional randomized response model and the simple random randomized response model in efficiency; and the stratified propotional randomized response model is more efficient than the simple random randomized response model.

        Signal analysis in frequency domain attracts many electrical engineers in sense that a viewpoint of the problem is puted to other direction. So, spectrum analyzer has become essential equipment as a measurement device. Because the FFT theory which becomes base of the digital spectrum analyzer, has to process many calculation, the real time processing is very difficult, and so the engineers of this field has continued to research reduction of calculation or fast processing in the FFT operation. In this paper, DSP(Digital Signal Processor) chip by development of novel semiconductor technology applys in general FFT theory, and is processed in real time. For these, this paper proposed an algorithm of the software and a configuration of hardware. In conclusion, this proved that 128 point FFT operation was able to process in real time(4,257ms).

      • 김천대학 사회교육 활성화 방안에 관한 연구

        The social education that is provided for the people will be an important part of the national growth in the 21 century. This study was taken to present the desirable direction that Kimcheon College Continuing Education has to make progress as a central organization with perceiving the importance of continuing education for the Kimcheon citizen. To achieve the objective of the study, examined a sample of 592 citizen and students from Kimcheon City and Kimcheon College. The survey revealed the following results : 1. Offer the effective operation of education policies and curriculums. 2. Perform the role of foreign language education center. 3. Introduce the saving credit system. 4. Operate the special lectures for the students of the high school graduating class after the national scholastic achievement test for university and college entrance. 5. Suppert the special skills education for high school students after-school hours. 6. Administer the new employment program. These results showed the desirable direction that the Kimcheon College Continuing Education has to take some actions for the Kimcheon citizen.

      • 새로운 Acetylcholinesterase inhibitors의 합성

        노인성 치매의 일종인 alzheimer's disease의 효과적인 억제제를 합성하기 위해 우리는 분자 모델링에 의한 가장 적합한 물질인 m-[(N,N,N-trimethylammonio)phenyl]boronic acid를 합성하였다. 출발물질인 3-aminophenylboronic acid monohydrate의 경우 boronic acid의 작용기인 hydroxyl group을 protecting시킴으로써 반응의 안정성을 기하였다. Quarternary ammonium salt는 과량의 methyliodide와 염기 촉매인 potassium hydrogen carbonate를 사용하여 용매인 methanol에서 반응시켜 상당히 높은 수율을 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 과량의 methyliodide와 염기촉매인 potassium hydrogen carbonate를 사용하여 용매인 methanol에서 반응시킨 결과 boronic acid의 protection없이도 안정하게 반응이 진행되어짐을 확인할 수 있었다. In order to syntheisize a effective inhibotor for alzheimer's disease, we synthesized m-[(N,N,N-trimethylammonio)phenyl]boronic acid 4 which is designed by molecular modeling form. We protected the hydroxyl group of 3-aminophenylboronic acid monohydrate 1 with ethlyne glycol to remove the reactivity if hydroxyl group. To synthesize m-[(N,N,N-trimethylammonio)phenyl]boronic acid 4, we reacted 3-aminophenylboronic acid monohydrate 1 with ezcess methyl iodide and potassium hydrogen carbonate as a base-catalyst in methanol. but On executed reaction without protection on hydroxyl group, we found out the result that the hydroxyl group of boronic acid group at 3-aminophenylboronic acid monohydrate 1 didn't react with excess methyliodide. Synthesized m-[(N,N,N-trimethylammonio)phenyl]boronic acid 4 is in progress about biological tests as a plausible acetylcholinesterase inhibitor.

        돌발성난청에서 홍삼추출물의 추가적인 치료효과

        Sudden idiopathic sensorineural hearing loss is a disease that develops within several hours to several days. Its etiology has not yet been verified, but the disturbance of the circulation of blood in the inner ear, inner-ear hydrops, and viral infection are considered possible causes of the disease. This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of Panax ginseng extract, which is known to have a vasodilatory effect, on sudden sensorineural hearing loss. Sixty-nine patients suffering from sudden sensorineural hearing loss were admitted to Korea University Anam Hospital from March to December 2008. They were divided into the experimental (30 ears) and control (39 ears) groups. Ginseng extract (2700㎎/day, 4 weeks) was added to the therapeutic regimen in the experimental group. The effect of ginseng extract therapy was analyzed according to the factors relating to the prognosis. A considerable hearing improvement was documented in both groups (32.2 ㏈ in the experimental group and 25.8 ㏈ in the control group). However, there was little beneficial effect of ginseng extract on additional hearing improvement compared with control. The total recovery rate of the experimental group (80.0%) was better than that of the control group (58.9%), and the experimental group’s high-tone hearing gain at 3 ㎑ (29.7 ㏈) was better than that of the control group (21.7 ㏈). The results of the study suggest that the effects of ginseng therapy tend to be superior to those of the conventional therapy, but the difference between the two is not statistically significant. The hearing gains tend to be in the higher frequencies and may be due to the promotion of cellular differentiation from the supporting cells.

        Particle Swarm Optimization을 이용한 PET/CT와 CT영상의 정합

        영상정합 기술은 두 개 이상의 영상을 서로 맞추어, 각각의 영상이 가지고 있는 단점을 보완하여, 새로운 정보를 획득하게 하는 기술이다. 본 논문은 의료 영상간의 2D 영상 정합을 통해 환자의 점진적 병세파악에 도움을 주는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 서로 다른 시점과 장비로부터 얻어진 CT와 PET/CT영상을 정합하기 위하여 정확한 해부학적 정보를 제공하는 CT영상간의 정합을 먼저 수행하고 이를 통하여 얻어진 기하학적 정합파라미터들을 PET 영상에 적용하여, 독립 CT영상 위에 PET영상을 중첩하였다. 정합작업을 위해 먼저 각각의 CT영상에 대해 전처리 작업을 실시하였고, 영상의 변형은 affine 좌표변환을 이용하였다. 정합할 영상간의 유사도 평가를 위해 mutual information을 이용하였으며, 빠르고 정확한 정합을 위하여 최적화 알고 리듬인 particle swarm optimization 방법을 이용하였다. 이를 통해 실제 환자의 독립 CT와 PET/CT영상을 이용하여 실험하였고, PET/CT의 영상에서 확인할 수 있었던 병소에 대한 해부학적 위치 정보가 영상정합 과정을 통해 독립 CT 영상에서도 동일한 위치에 표시됨을 확인하였다. 제안된 알고리듬은 PET/CT 뿐만 아니라 향후 도입될 SPECT/CT, MRI/PET 등 다중영상기기와 기존의 독립 CT 영상기기와의 정합에도 폭넓게 사용될 것으로 기대된다. Image registration is a fundamental task in image processing used to match two or more images. It gives new information to the radiologists by matching images from different modalities. The objective of this study is to develop 2D image registration algorithm for PET/CT and CT images acquired by different systems at different times. We matched two CT images first (one from standalone CT and the other from PET/CT) that contain affluent anatomical information. Then, we geometrically transformed PET image according to the results of transformation parameters calculated by the previous step. We have used Affine transform to match the target and reference images. For the similarity measure, mutual information was explored. Use of particle swarm algorithm optimized the performance by finding the best matched parameter set within a reasonable amount of time. The results show good agreements of the images between PET/CT and CT. We expect the proposed algorithm can be used not only for PET/CT and CT image registration but also for different multi-modality imaging systems such as SPECT/CT, MRI/PET and so on.
