        This study will examine educational satisfaction on Estheticians who completed hygiene education, conduct survey on demands for educational programs which are required, and provide basic data for effective operation and qualitative improvement of skin beauty care hygiene education. Based on the above results, technique education by applying the recent trend in occupational intelligence should be performed as a way for improving satisfaction of hygiene education for learners. In particular, education should be prepared to increase the association with practical job in the general education.

      • 설악산 국립공원의 어류분포

        설악산 국립공원지역 산간계류의 17개 지점에서 2000년 6월부터 2001년 6월까지 어류상 및 이화학적 요인을 계절별로 총 4회에 걸쳐 분석하였다. 모든 조사지점은 1~3차의 하천으로 비교적 물리·화학적 교란이 적었으며 하천폭은 5~30 m 정도였다. 채집된 어류는 총 18과 42종 2,557개체였고, Cyprinidae는 16종으로 84.7%의 상대풍부도를 나타냈으며, Gobiidae 4종, 5.0?의 상대풍부도를 보였다. Cyprinidae는 전체 채입종의 37.2%를 나타냈다. 우점종은 Zacco temminck로 10개 지점에서 738개체가 채집되어 28.9%의 상대풍부도를 나타냈으며, 아우점종은 Rhynchocypris kumkangensis와 Z. platypus로 각각 4개 지점 648개체(25.3%)와 7개 지점 344개체(13.5%)로 나타났다. 한국고유종(Korean endemic species)은 모두 4과 11종 781개체로 30.5%의 상대풍부도를 나타냈으며, 고유화 빈도는 25.6%로 한국의 평균 고유화 빈도와 유사하게 나타났다. 본 조사에서 외래어는 채집되지 않았다. 국립공원 내에 서식하는 어류의 다양성 유지와 회복을 위해서는 공원 내는 물론 경계지역 하천의 체계적인 관리가 요구된다. The fish fauna of mountain streams in the Seorak National Park area was investigated from June 2000 to June 2001 (4 times). All 17 sites were relatively undisturbed 1st to 3rd order streams. A total of 2,557 individuals were collected and classified into 17 families and 43 species. Cyprinidae accounted for 37.2% (16 species) of the total fish species and 84.7% (2,165 ind.) of the total abundance. Subdominant families were Gobiidae (4 species, 5.0%) and Balitoridae (3 species, 3.4%). Zacco temmincki (RA 28.9%, 10 sites) dominated. Subdominant species were Rhynchocypris kumkangensis (25.3%, 4 sites) and Zacco platypus (13.5%, 7 sites). Eleven of the species are endemic to Korea (4 families, 30.5%). Exotic species were not collected in this survey. Fish diversity was higher in streams around the boundary area than in the national park. Therefore, management of streams in the boundary area to protect the fish biodiversity can be efficiently conducted. Habitat degradation should be reduced for the conservation and restoration of fish diversity.

        K-EDU MON CENTER CI 개발

        세계적으로 불균형적 인구구조가 가속화되고 있는 시점에서 정부는 인력 부족을 해결하고 국가 성장 동력을 확보하기 위한 다양한 정책들을 실행하고 있다. 이러한 배경 하에 개발된 몽골의 비전문 취업근로자 한국 체류 자격을 위한 글로벌 로컬 교육 프로그램 ‘K-EDU MON CENTER’의 CI(Corporate Identity, 이하 CI)를 디자인, 개발하였다. CI이론, ‘K-EDU MON CENTER’의 현황, 유사 CI/BI 개발 사례 분석을 통해 디자인 개발의 프로세스를 구축하였으며 사용자에게 특정한 인상과 인식을 제공하고 조직의 목표와 가치를 반영한 CI 베이직시스템과 응용시스템을 개발하였다. 통합된 이미지 구축을 통해 개발된 CI를 사용자 커뮤니케이션과 다양한 마케팅에 활용할 수 있게 되었다. The world's disproportionate population structure is accelerating. As a result, the government is implementing various policies to ease the shortage of human resources and improve national growth engines. We designed the CI(Corporate Identity) of K-EDUMON CENTER, a global local education program for Mongolian non-professional workers to qualify for stay in Korea. We have established a design development process through CI theory analysis, current status of “K-EDUMONNTER”, and similar CI/BI development cases. We have developed CI basic systems and applications that provide users with specific impressions and perceptions and reflect organizational goals and values. Integrated image building enables the developed CI to be utilized for user communication and various marketing activities.

        Stimulation of Immunoglobulin Secretion in Human B Lymphocytes as Direct Effect of High Concentration of IL - 2

        In certain human IgM and IgG cell lines, Immunoglobulin (Ig) secretion is highly stimulated by a B cell inducing factor (BIF) that is free of interleukin 2 (IL-2). BIF also induces Ig secretion in purified peripheral blood B cell populations that have been mitogenically stimulated by Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. Low concentration of IL-2 (less than 20 U/㎖) are not active in these systems. We now show that IL-2 at concentrations above 100 U/㎖ can induce Ig secretion in these blood B cells and B cell lines. Both conventional IL-2, purified from the human JURKAT IL-2 and gibbon MLA 144 cell lines, and recombinant IL-2 are active. Very high concentrations approaching 10⁴ U/㎖ are optimal for Ig secretion. Antibody to the T cell IL-2 receptor, anti-Tac, did not inhibit stimulation of the IgM cell line SKW6.4 by IL-2, and no Tac antigen was detected on the cells. The 9B11 monoclonal anti-IL-2 antibody that neutralizes T cell growth activity also abrogates stimulation of IL-2 in the SKW6.4 cell line. However, the 1H11 monoclonal anti-(conventional thr₃-glycosylated IL-2), which does not neutralize T cell growth activity, does inhibit induction of Ig secretion by the corresponding IL-2 in the B cell line. These results suggest that IL-2 stimulates B cells via a low-affinity interaction with a receptor different from the Tac receptor identified on T cells, and that the active site on the IL-2 molecules for B cells differs from that for T cell targets. If IL-2 promotes Ig secretion by binding with a low affinity to the B cell BIF receptor, IL-2 and BIF could be homologous proteins.

      • The effect of combined hemostatic techniques during cesarean section in placenta previa; preliminary study

        목적: Our objective was to evaluate the effect of combined use of transient bilateral ovarian artery clamping, uterine artery ligation, and Bakri balloon tamponade during cesarean section in women with placenta previa. 방법: We performed a retrospective cohort study of all cesarean deliveries performed due to placenta previa from April 2013 until June 2016 at Chonbuk National University Hospital. Charts were reviewed to determine the amount of RBC transfusion, degree of blood loss and incidence of postpartum hysterectomy and uterine artery embolization (UAE) between conventional method and combined technique to control hemorrhage during cesarean section for placenta previa. Patients with unsortable technique were excluded. The outcome was analyzed using independent t-test. 결과: There was a total of 118 cesarean deliveries for placenta previa during the study period, with two groups of 100 patients using conventional hemostatic method and 17 patients using combined hemostatic technique. There were not different between two groups in the mean amount of PRC transfusion during operation (0.88 ± 2.12 unit vs. 0.24 ± 0.66 units, respectively, p=0.22) and the index of blood loss (0.22 ± 0.13 vs. 0.23 ± 0.14, respectively, p=0.78). The incidence of postpartum hysterectomies (0.05 ± 0.22 vs. 0 ± 0, respectively, p=0.03) and postpartum care (0.13 ± 0.46 vs. 0 ± 0, respectively, p=0.01) for continuous bleeding after cesarean section were significantly low in combined technique group. 결론: Our findings show that utilization of the combined technique (transient bilateral ovarian artery clamping, uterine artery ligation, and Bakri balloon tamponade) during cesarean section for placenta previa is associated with a decreased rate of postpartum hysterectomy and additional hemostatic procedure after cesarean section.

        Investigation of atomic-layer-deposited Al-doped ZnO film for AZO/ZnO double-stacked active layer thin-film transistor application

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In this study, Al-doped zinc oxide (AZO) thin films with different Al concentrations fabricated by atomic layer deposition are investigated to determine the Al doping effect for AZO/ZnO double-stacked active layer thin-film transistor (TFT) applications. The AZO films are analyzed by X-ray diffraction, photoluminescence, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, which show that the Al dopants affect the crystallinity, including the crystal direction and grain size, and reduce the deep trap sites such as oxygen vacancies (V<SUB>O</SUB>). The optimized Al doping concentration is about 2%. TFTs with an AZO (2%)/ZnO double-stacked active layer are fabricated and shown to exhibit a lower threshold voltage (V<SUB>th</SUB>), subthreshold slope, and V<SUB>th</SUB> shift under a positive gate-bias stress compared to ZnO single-layer devices. In the case of the on-current, however, the AZO stacked devices exhibit a smaller value. These electrical characteristics can be explained by V<SUB>O</SUB> suppression and altered crystal properties due to Al doping. For the field-effect mobility, the temperature dependence also reveals that the main transport mechanisms are thermionic and thermal field emission over the grain boundary in the AZO stacked devices. These results indicate that the AZO film properties depend strongly on the Al concentration and hence the ZnO-based devices can be optimized for specific application by Al doping.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> AZO thin films with different Al doping concentration were analyzed. </LI> <LI> Through physical analysis, 2% AZO showed the best characteristics. </LI> <LI> The use of AZO showed improved stability through gate bias stress measurement. </LI> <LI> The main transport mechanism was analyzed through temperature dependence of mobility. </LI> <LI> The main transport mechanism is thermionic and thermal field emission. </LI> </UL> </P>

        Seasonal and diel abundance and feeding patterns of Chaoborus flavicans in Sang-Chun reservoir

        To document the basic ecological aspects of Chaoborus species, which has never been reported in Korea, we attempted to identify the species, to monitor seasonal and vertical dynamics, and to elucidate trophic relations of the species in Sang-Chun reservoir. Using morphological characteristics, we identified the collected samples as C. flavicans. Also, we compared the distribution of C. flavicans, Daphnia rosea and chlorophyll a to observed seasonal dynamics. The increase of C. flavicans was observed 1-2 weeks after the increase of D. rosea. Survey of diel vertica migration patterns in the summer season showed that C. flavicans were in hypolimnion at daytime, but moved to the epilimnion at night. Finally, to determine trophic relationships in Sang-Chun reservoir, additional studies on the food web were undertaken by stable isotope analysis. Chaoborus flavicans I-II instars appear to be filter feeders based on carbon isotope values. Trophic levels of C. flavicans III-IV instars were shown to be higher than other zooplankto based on nitrogen isotope values.

      • Regiospecific Biosynthesis of Oxylipins from Renewable Fatty Acids by Using Novel Bacterial Lipoxygenase from Enhygromyxa salina

        Lipoxygenase (LOX) is the key enzyme involved in the regio- and stereoselective synthesis of oxylipins. The oxylipins, a group of structurally diverse and biologically active oxygenated molecules, are essential signaling messengers involved in human physiological responses. Herein, we discovered bacterial LOX from Enhygromyxa salina (Es-LOX) with unique regiospecificity. C18-polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) were converted to 9S-form products, indicating that the regiospecificity of Es-LOX differs from that of other bacterial LOXs. The catalytic efficiency (kcat/KM) was the highest for Linoleic acid. The kcat/KM of linoleic acid was 1.51 s<SUP>-1</SUP> μM<SUP>-1</SUP>, which was 2.4-fold higher than the second favored substrate ɣ-linolenic acid. The Es-LOX was engineered to improve the solubility by fusion with maltose binding protein (MBP), which led to the synthesis of target products with high-conversion. For instance, 100 mM linoleic acid was transformed into 83 mM 9Shydroxy-(10E,12Z)-octadecadienoic acid by the recombinant Escherichia coli BL21(DE3) pb4-Es-LOX and tris(2-carboxyethyl)-phosphine (TCEP). In addition, we produced the secondary fatty alcohol [i.e., 8S-hydroxy-(9E,11Z)-heptadecadiene] from the hydroxy fatty acid [i.e., 9S-hydroxy-(10E,12Z)-octadecadienoic acid] by using a single whole-cell biocatalyst, coexpressing Es-LOX and photoactivated decarboxylase from Chlorella variabilis. This study will contribute to the development of biotransformation processes for the synthesis of diverse fatty acid derivatives.
