The breakthrough behaviour of activated charcoal cloth samples against an oxygen analogue (OA) of sulphur mustard has been studied using the modified Wheeler equation. Activated charcoal cloth samples having different surface area values in the range of 481 to 1290 m2/g were used for this purpose. Breakthrough behaviour was found to depend on the properties of the activated charcoal cloth, properties of the OA and the adsorption conditions. Activated charcoal cloth with a high surface area of 1290 m2/g, relatively large surface density of 160 g/m2 and coarser fiber structure exhibited better kinetic saturation capacity value, 0.19 g/g, against OA vapours when compared to others, thus confirming its potential use in foldable masks for protection against chemical warfare agents.

In this paper, we delve into the intriguing realm of Pseudo-morphic High Electron Mobility Transistors (pHEMTs) composed of InAs∕In0.3Al0.7As∕InSb∕In0.3Al0.7As layers, utilizing Silvaco-TCAD for simulation. Our focus centers on the assessment of RF and analog electrical characteristics, with a keen eye on the high-temperature eff ects. The influence of temperature on device performance is meticulously evaluated in comparison to a reference device operating at room temperature. Traditionally, the critical parameters such as threshold voltage ( Vth ), transconductance ( gm ), and Ion∕Ioff ratio have been calculated within the temperature range spanning from 300 K to 700 K. The primary pHEMT device in our study exhibits impressive attributes, featuring a drain current of 950 mA, a threshold voltage of -1.75 V, a high transconductance ( gm ) value of 650 mS/mm, an Ion∕Ioff ratio of 1 × 106 , a transition frequency ( ft ) soaring to 790 GHz, and a maximum frequency ( fmax ) reaching a staggering 1.4 THz. However, as we traverse the temperature spectrum, our findings unveil a compelling narrative. The impact of rising temperature is unequivocal, triggering a cascade of transformations within the device. Notably, as the temperature escalates, we observe a noticeable decrease in current, a reduction in transconductance ( gm ), and a diminishing Ion∕Ioff ratio. To unravel the intricacies of these temperature-induced effects, we introduce the infusion of Machine Learning (ML) into our analysis.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Nowadays scientist over the world are engaging to put forth improved methods to detect metal ion in an aqueous medium based on fluorescence studies. A simple, selective and sensitive method was proposed for detection of Co2+ ion using fluorescent organic nanoparticles. We synthesized a fluorescent small molecule viz. 4,4′-{benzene-1,4-diylbis-[(Z)methylylidenenitrilo]}dibenzoic acid (BMBA) to explore its suitability as sensor for Co2+ ion and biocompatibility in form of nanoparticles. Fluorescence nanoparticles (BMBANPs) prepared by simple reprecipitation method. Aggregation induced enhanced emission of BMBANPs exhibits the narrower particle size of 68nm and sphere shape morphology. The selective fluorescence quenching was observed by addition of Co2+ and does not affected by presence of other coexisting ion solutions. The photo-physical properties, viz. UV-absorption, fluorescence emission, and lifetime measurements are in support of ligand-metal interaction followed by static fluorescence quenching phenomenon in emission of BMBANPs. Finally, we develop a simple analytical method for selective and sensitive determination of Co2+ ion in environmental samples. Experimental investigation of Wheeler's hardening model for Pusan clays
Chung, S.G.,M. Suneel,K.N. Prasad,Rao, K.G. 東亞大學校建設技術硏究所 2004 硏究論文集 Vol.28 No.1
The present paper adopts Wheeler's model (1997) to evaluate its application to Pusan clays. A program of triaxial and consolidation tests on samples of Pusan clays at Yangsan, Korea was under taken to investigate the applicability of the model adopted. The model parameters are evaluated by describing the initial state of the soil. Model predictions are shown to be qualitatively consistent with experimental observations, but refinement seems to be required to have much better agreement between experimental results and model predictions.

In this paper we prove a Suzuki type unique common coupled fixed point theorem for two pairs of w-compatible mappings along with (ψ - φ) - and Rational contraction conditions in S_b-metric spaces. We also furnish an example as well as application to integral equation.
Common fixed point theorems for a pair of compatible maps using a control function
G. V. R. Babu,K. N. V. V. Vara Prasad 장전수학회 2007 Proceedings of the Jangjeon mathematical society Vol.10 No.1
The purpose of this paper is to establish a common fixed point theorem for a pair of selfmaps of a complete metric space by applying the technique altering distances between the points, using a control function, which is our main result. Also it is extended to a sequence of selfmaps. These results generalize the results of Babu and Ismail [1], Is´eki [2], Singh [17] and Som [18].

In the present study, the alcoholic extract of Terminalia arjuna (TA) and Arjunolic acid (AA) were studied for its anti-asthmatic and anaphylactic activity. Treatment with TA (250 & 500 mg/kg) and AA (50&100 mg/kg) has shown significant protection against mast cell disruption in rats induced by compound 48/80. TA and AA also protected the guinea pig against histamine as well as acetylcholine induced bronchospasm. Both TA & AA exhibited better protection against histamine release than against acetylcholine release. Anti-asthmatic and anaphylactic activity may be possibly due to membrane stabilizing potential and inhibition of antigen induced histamine and acetylcholine release.
