Comparative Study of Tribological Properties of Multilayers Laminate Nanocomposites

Wear resistance studies for the multilayer laminate nanocomposite experimentally need a lot of time and money to investigate the effects of different parameters over it. Furthermore, the impact of these parameters on the surface occurs within a microsecond making the investigation very difficult. Statistical methods such as response surface methodology can be an effective technique in this matter. In the current work, the response surface methodology and the artificial neural network were used to design and analyze the weight loss at different temperatures, sliding speeds, applied loads, and weight percentages of graphene nanoplatelet (GNP) for multilayers laminate composite consists of polyurethane resin and anhydride hardener reinforced with 30 volume fraction of random fiber-glass. It was found that increasing GNP content could effectively increase friction coefficient and reduce the wear rate of multilayer laminate nanocomposite. The predicted values from artificial neural networks and experimental methods are found very close to each other.
On χ⊗η-Strong Connes Amenability of Certain Dual Banach Algebras

In this paper, the notions of strong Connes amenability for certain products of Banach algebras and module extension of dual Banach algebras is investigated. We characterize χ ⊗ η-strong Connes amenability of projective tensor product K⨶H via χ ⊗ η-σwc virtual diagonals, where χ ∈ K∗ and η ∈ H∗ are linear functionals on dual Banach algebras K and H, respectively. Also, we present some conditions for the existence of (χ, θ)-σwc virtual diagonals in the θ-Lau product of K ×_θ H. Finally, we characterize the notion of (χ, 0)-strong Connes amenability for module extension of dual Banach algebras K ⊕ X, where X is a normal Banach K-bimodule.

As for the insufficient nature of the fossil fuel resources, the renewable energies as alternative fuels are imperative and highly heeded. To deliver the required electric power to the industrial and domestic consumers from DC renewable energy sources like fuel cell (FC), the power converter operates as an adjustable interface device. This paper suggests a new boost structure to provide the required voltage with wide range gain for FC power source. The proposed structure based on the boost converter and the quazi network, the so-called SBQN, can effectively enhance the FC functionality against its high operational sensitivity to experience low current ripple and also propagate voltage and current with low stress across its semiconductors. Furthermore, the switching power losses have been decreased to make this structure more durable. A full operational analysis of the proposed SBQN and its advantages over the conventional and famous structures has been compared and explained. Furthermore, a prototype of the single-phase converter has been constructed and tested in the laboratory.

Lacunar strokes occur when a branch of a large cerebral artery is blocked. The thalamus is often affected, causing uncontrollable motions. A 72-year-old previously healthy man presented with involuntary motions in the right limbs, which were present at rest, and exacerbated during voluntary actions. He had received the first dose of the adenoviral vector-based coronavirus disease 2019 vaccine (ChAdOx1 nCoV-19) 9 days ago. Severe thrombocytopenia and elevated levels of lactate dehydrogenase, ferritin, C-reactive protein, and D-dimer were found, without any evidence of connective tissue disease. Electromyography demonstrated typical choreiform movements, and the brain magnetic resonance imaging indicated a small high signal lesion on the left side of the thalamus. Detection of the immunoglobulin G antibodies against platelet factor 4 in the blood, negative heparin-induced platelet activation (HIPA) test, and positive modified HIPA test confirmed the thalamic stroke due to the vaccine-induced prothrombotic immune thrombocytopenia (VIPIT). He was admitted to the intensive care unit and received nadroparin, sodium ozagrel, edaravone, methylprednisolone, and haloperidol. His hemi-chorea improved gradually over 2 weeks, and he was discharged after 21 days with rehabilitation advice. VIPIT due to the ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 is a novel immune-mediated response that needs clinicians’ awareness and further investigations.

Study Design: Prospective study. Purpose: To determine the role of routine preoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to detect the incidence and risk factors for intraspinal anomalies in patients with idiopathic scoliosis. Overview of Literature: The incidence and risk factors for intraspinal anomalies in patients with idiopathic scoliosis are controversial, and the indications for preoperative MRI in these patients vary among centers. Methods: Information on patients with idiopathic scoliosis who were surgical candidates over 10 years (age at presentation, sex, magnitude and apex of major curve, intraspinal anomalies detected by MRI, and neurological examination results) were recorded, the patients were grouped according to the intraspinal anomaly, and the data were analyzed. Results: Of the 271 patients with idiopathic scoliosis, 27 had neuroaxial abnormalities (9.9%). Of these 27 patients, 14 (52%) underwent a neurosurgical procedure. Significant differences were observed in the frequency of early disease onset and male sex (p <0.05) between the group of patients with neuroaxial abnormalities on preoperative MRI and those who did not have a cord anomaly. No difference was detected in the magnitude or direction of the curve. Conclusions: Neuroaxial abnormalities in patients with idiopathic scoliosis and a normal neurological examination were highly frequent (9.9%). Missing these abnormalities before surgery could inflict catastrophic postoperative complications. The incidence of neuroaxial abnormalities was higher in male patients and in those with early onset disease. Thus, MRI is essential for all patients with idiopathic scoliosis who require medical intervention.

We investigate skew power series of alpha-rigid p.p.-rings,where alpha is an endomorphism of a ring R which is notassumed to be surjective. For an alpha-rigid ring R,R[[x;alpha]] is right p.p., if and only ifR[[x,x^{-1};alpha]] is right p.p., if and only if R is rightp.p. and any countable family of idempotents in R has a join inI(R).
An Alternative Perspective of Near-rings of Polynomials and Power series

Unlike for polynomial rings, the notion of multiplication for the near-ring of polynomials is the substitution operation. This leads to somewhat surprising results. Let S be an abelian left near-ring with identity. The relation ∼ on S defined by letting a ∼ b if and only if annS(a) = annS(b), is an equivalence relation. The compressed zero-divisor graph ΓE(S) of S is the undirected graph whose vertices are the equivalence classes in duced by ∼ on S other than [0]S and [1]S, in which two distinct vertices [a]S and [b]S are adjacent if and only if ab = 0 or ba = 0. In this paper, we are interested in studying the compressed zero-divisor graphs of the zero-symmetric near-ring of polynomials R0[x] and the near-ring of the power series R0[[x]] over a commutative ring R. Also, we give a complete characterization of the diameter of these two graphs. It is natural to try to find the relationship between diam.
