        The subjects of this study are the female handball players of 7 high ranking countries and Korea who participated in the Sydney Olypics 2002 in Australia. Upon closing of the Olympics, an analysis was conducted into the data which were released by IHF in connection with the outcomes of the games between the Korean female handball team and other seven participating countries. The results of the analysis by item are shown below-. 1. From the comparison of attacking power by type and position of each Korean female handball player, no significant difference was found generally except for 6M shoots and feint shoots in a 1 to 1 confrontation, which showed a slight difference(p<.05). In terms of the outcomes by position, players in R·B position were analyzed to record high average in 6M and 9M shoots. while players in C·B position scord high average in 7M shoots. As regards pointw. players in R·W position yielded average points. The speedy attacks appeared to record generally higher scores than other attacks. The players in R·W position scored high points in average. In regard of shoots and scores by feint attack in 1 to 1 confrontation, the players in P·V position showed fairly high average points. The players in C·B position scored higher points while those in R·W position demonstrated higher scording ratio in average. 2. From the analysis into the outcomes of the female handball games between Korea and 7 countries(Norway, Denmark, Rumania, Brazil, Angola, France and Hungary) at Sydney Olympics 2000, there was somewhat significant in terms of attacking position, while there was somewhat significant difference in scording by speedy attacks(p<.05). In detail, Rumanian team recorded higher average in 6M shoots while Danish team showed higher average in 9M position. Angola and Denmark yielded similar average scores in 9M attacks whereas Hungary showed generally low average in 7M Shoots and scores by wing attacks. Denmark got on scores by wing attacks. Hungary proved to be fairly good in feint attack in 1 to 1 confrontation and Brazil harvested a little higher shoots and scords in average.

        병원 불안- 우울 척도에 관한 표준화 연구 : 정상, 불안, 우울 집단간의 비교 A Comparison of Normal, Depressed and Anxious Groups

        연구목적 : 저자들은 Zigmond등 (1983)이 개발한 병원 불안-우울 척도(Hospital Anxiety and Depression : HAD)를 한국어로 표준화하기 위한 목적으로 본 연구를 시행하였다. 방 법 : 연구대상은 불안장애 환자가 66명, 우울장애 환자가 74명, 정상대조군 189명이었다. HAD의 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하였고, 한홍무 등(1986)이 표준화한 Beck의 BDI와 왕성근(1978)이 표준화한 Zung의 자기평정 불안척도와 그 상관관계를 비교하였다. 결 과 : 문항 - 총점간의 상관관계 중앙치는 불안 하부척도가 0.55, 우울 하부 척도가 0.47로 나타났고, Crohnbach의 α계수는 각각 0.89와 0.86으로 나타나서 중등도 이사의 신뢰도가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 타당도에서는 t검증 결과 불안 및 우울 집단이 정상 대조군과 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타나 타당도가 높은 것으로 증명되었다. 구성 타당도는 우울 하부척도가 BDI와는 r=0.80, 불안 하부척도가 SAS와는 r=0.79로 나타나 중등도 이상인 것으로 판정되었다. HAD로 불안 및 우울을 측정하는 경우 우울 하부 척도가 절단점 8점인 경우 민감도 89.2%, 특이도 82.5%, 불안 하부척도가 절단점 8점인 경우 민감도 78.8%, 특이도 82.5%로 가장 적절하게 나타났다. HAD의 요인분석 결과 두 가지의 요인이 추출되었다. 요인 1이 설명하는 변량은 49.6%로, 요인 2가 설명하는 변량은 10.0%로 두 요인이 설명하는 변량은 59.6%였다. 두 가지 요인은 원래 척도인 불안(AI-7)과 우울(D1-7)의 하부척도와 잘 일치하였다. 그리고 불안과 우울 장애의 감별에서도 두 집단사이의 t검증 결과 우울 하부척도는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으나 불안 하부척도는 차이가 없었다. 결 론 : 이러한 결과로 HAD가 불안과 우울 장애를 타당성 있게 측정할 수 있는 척도로 증명되었다. 본 척도를 사용하여 일차진료의 및 비 정신과 분야에서의 불안과 우울의 이환 상태를 이용하고 짧은 시간에 숙달된 기술이 없이도 검사할 수 있을 것이다. Objectives : The Purpose of this study was to standardize the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale for Koreans : HAD-K). Methods : HAD-K, Beck Depression Inventory(BDI), Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS) were administered to 66 anxious and 74 depressed patients and 189 normal controls. Results : The median correlation between items of the HAD-A and corrected item total score was 0.55 and HAD-D was 0.47. The values of Cronbach's α coefficient were 0.89 and 0.86. The results of testing the validity of the HAD examined by t-test proved that anxious and depressed groups were significantly different from normal controls. The construct validity of HAD-D with BDI was r=0.80, and HAD-A with SAS was r=0.79. The result of examining the sensitivity and specificity of HAD-D revealed that cut-off point of 8 yielded 89.2% sensitivity rate and 82.5% specificity rate. And those of Had-A revealed that cut-off point of 8 yielded 78.8% sensitivity rate and 82.5% specificity rate. The result of the factor analysis found 3 factors in HAD, which were anxiety(factor 1) and depression(factor 2). The total percent of two factors were 59.6%. Conclusion : The HAD-K was proven to measure the anxiety and depression validly. Primary physicians and non-psychiatrists also can easily measure anxiety and depression of patients within a short time with HAD-K.

        DOC의 K-7 Mode에 의한 배기가스 저감에 관한 연구

        With the significant growth of the number of vehicles, environmental problems is raised. NOx, SOx, and PM emissions in diesel powered vehicles are larger than that in gasoline, because the development of pollutants reduction techniques has no: been yet achieved. So it is need to develop after-treatment or to convert into alternative fuel to satisfy emission regula-tion. Among the after-treatment systems to reduce the diesel emissions, studies with diesel oxidation catalyst(DOC) are done greatly. In this study using DOC, reduction efficiency with the change of temperature and catalyst loading was calculated through measurements of CO, HC, PM, and SOx.

        터보 차져와 인터쿨러를 장착한 디젤기관의 시뮬레이션 연구

        Studies on the turbocharger itself or various aspects generated from turbocharged engine have been made. However, only a few researches have been made on the performance for the natural aspirated engine equipped with the turbocharger and the intercooler. In this study, the performance prediction program based on turbocharger theory is developed for simu-lation which may reduce the cost and the trial-and-error time. The program is verified with the experimental results for 11,000cc diesel engine with the turbocharger and the intercooler. Also, various factors which are invisible in experiment are predicted using this program.

      • Alprazolam함유 poly(D,L-lactic acid) microsphere의 제조 및 평가

        Poly(D.L-lactic acid)(PLA) microspheres containing alprazolam(APZ) were prepared by a solvent-emulsion evaporation method and their release patterns were invostigated in vitro. Various batches of microspherss with different size and drug content were obtained by changing the ration of APZ to PLA, PLA concentration in the dispersed phase and stirring rate. Rod-like APZ crystals on microsphere surface, which were released rapidly and could act as a loading dose, were observed with increasing drug content. The release rate was increased with increase in drug contents and decresase in the molecular weight of PLA. The release rate of APZ for long-acting injectable delivery system in vitro, which would aid in predicting in vivo release profile, could be controlled by properly optimizing various factors affecting characteristics of microspheres.

      • 일회통과 관류실험시 물의 수송 : 관류액의 종류와 삼투압의 영향 Effects of Some Perfusates and Their Osmolality

        The single pass perfusion experiments were performed in anesthetized rata to investigate the effects of perfusates and their osmolality on the water transport and to determine the correlation between the extent of water transport and the volume change of perfusate. Phenol red was used as a nonabsorbable marker. In normal rats, when perfused at a flow rate of 0.5 ml/min 2-(N-morpholino) ethanesulfonic acid (MES) aid Sorensen's phosphate hullers showed minimal net water transport as 0.125 and 0.173 %/cm of intestinal length, respecetively. Hypotonic perfusate of 200 mOsm㎏ of water and hypertonic perfusate of 400 mOsm/㎏ of water generated significant water transport compared with isotonic perfusate of 300 mOsn/㎏ of water. There was a linear correlation between the attent of water transport and the volume change of perfusate, suggesting that the volume change can be used as a measure of water transport.

      • HrSOD-폴리에칠렌 접합체의 아세트아미노펜 간독성에 미치는 영향

        The covalent conjugation of human recombinant superoxide dismutase (hrSOD) with trichloros-triazine activated polyethylene glycol (PEG) 5000 formed soluble conjugates with molecular weight of 92KD, which retained 90~98% of original activity with a markedly prolonged plasma half-life of enzyme activity. The effect of hrSOD-PEG conjugates on acetaminophen (ACP)-in-duced hepatotoxicity was tested in male rats which were pretreated with 3-methylcholanthrene. HrSOD-PEG conjugates inhibited the hepatotoxicity produced by ACP, on the other hand, native hrSOD had no protective effect. The above results indicated that oxygen radicals might participate in the mechanism of the ACP-induced hepatotoxicity and that polymer conjugated-protein drugs with prolonged half-lives could be employed as an effective therapeutic agent.

      • 니페디핀이 암피실린의 흡수에 미치는 영향

        Amino-β-lactam antibiotics are absorbed by the dipeptide transporter in the small intestine. These uptakes are coupled to a proton influx. The inward proton gradient is partly induced by the Na^(+)/H^(+) exchanger and cakium ion is involved in control of this antiport. Interaction between ampicillin which is one of the amino-β-lactam antibiotics and nifedipine which is one of calcium channel blocking agents was studied in rats in vivo and with rabbit jejunum mounted on the Sweetana/Grass diffusion cells in vitro. Bioavailability of ampicillin was increased significantly when nifedipine was co-administered orally in rats. There were no differences in the distribution phase and the elimination phase when ampicillin was given either alone or with nifedipine intravenously. Conditions for in vitro experiments were determined. The lift rate of O₂/CO₂ gas was controlled to 3 bubbles/sec and ampicillin was stable in the Kreb's buffer at pH6.0 Absorption of ampicillin was the greatest when the completely-stripped serosal membrane was used. Transport of ampicillin from mucosal to serosal side in the rabbit jejunum was enhanced by 32% in the presence of nifedipine (p=0.059). Above results suggest that nifedipine might increase the plasma level of ampicillin via the improved absorption in the intestine rather than the reduction in the elimination or/and alteration in the distribution.

      • 덱사메타손 21-아세테이트를 함유한 콘드로이틴 설페이트/젤라틴 마이크로스피어의 제조 및 평가

        Chondroitin sulfate/gelatin microspheres containing dexamethasone 21-acetate were prepared by complex coacervation method and their release patterns were examined in vitro. Microspheres prepared with a small amount of crosslinking agent had smooth surface and few pores, but those with a large amount of crosslinking agent were more porous and less spherical. In vitro release patterns were varied by changing polymer/drug weight ratio and amount of crosslinking agent. The release rate of dexamethasone 21-acetate in the presence of collagenase was faster than that in the absence of collagenase. Anti-inflammatory effect of dexamethasone 21-acetate microspheres was more efficient than that of dexamethasone 21-acetate solution in carrageenan-induced arthritis in the rat. On the basis of the above results. we might expect the degradation and drug release rate of these microspheres to be regulated by the degree of crosslinking and the level of enzymes. In patients with sever rheumatoid arthritis who have high concentration of collagenase, more drug would be released from the microspheres. An intra-articular injection therapy of rheumatoid arthritis with desired release kinetics could be developed to enhance patient compliance and therapeutic index.

      • 아시아클로버-아시알로페투인 접합체의 간 포획 및 안정성

        For the puropse of improving the chemotherapeutic index of acyclovir(ACV), it was conjugated with asialofetrin(AF), which has been reported to enter into hepatocytes. When [H³] acyclovir in itself or its conjugate were administered to rats, the latter was taken up more selectively by the liver than any other tissues. The stability of ACVMP-AF conjugate in phosphate buffer (pH 5.0) and rat liver homogenate showed a pseudo-first order profile. ACVMP-AF, however, was relatively stable in pH7.4 phosphate buffer and rat plasma. The conjugate was added to the isolated rat hepatocyte and cellular uptake was monitored by scintillation counting for up to 6 hours at 37℃. Hepatocytes incubated with the conjugate exhibited radioactivites significantly enhanced over control levels dose-dependently. i.e., a 3-40 fold increase in radioactivities was observed over controls at the conjugate concentrations of 0.1-10μg/ml. The AUQ in the liver, kidney, spleen, intestine and lung was higher in treatment with ACVMP-AF than that in treatment with ACV. In treatment with ACVMP-AF, the weighted-average overall drug targeting efficiency(Te) for the liver was higher than in treatment with ACV(57.00 vs 13.31%), and the weighted-average tissue exposure(Re) was 5.03 for the liver. These results indicated that ACVMP-AF conjugate was rapidly taken up by hepatocytes and could be an efficient and selective hepatic targeting system.
