The purpose of this study is to find the method which minimizes the anti-function of development in the coastal region of Saemangeum area. Therefore, the construction of submerged breakwater could minimizes and compensate the negative impacts on the marine environment and ecosystem caused by the Saemangeum reclamation. The construction of submerged breakwater is the possibility of mitigation of mitigation in the fisheries ground. This study investigated experimentally hydraulic characteristics by change of the crest width, submergence and porosity.

As time goes up, structural capacity of members decreases in reinforced concrete structures. The deterioration of the capacity is mainly due to the poor construction, corrosion of steel bars and the neutralization of concrete due to environmental pollution, etc. This deterioration is unavoidable, thus it is necessary to develop the method for repair and retrofit of structures in order to ensure structural safety of members. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the load-deflection, ultimate strength, failure mode, and energy absorption capacity of reinforced concrete slabs subject to load experimentally for several variables and grasp the problem of concrete slabs strengthened with large diameter bolts and wire tensioning. And propose foundational research data for4 strengthening reinforced concrete slabs. The test result shows that the capacity of anchorage is controlled by bearing capacity of concrete under the anchorage or punching shear around the anchorage. And the gap between bolts and core hole must be filled to prevent slip and rotation of anchorage.

This is a study to modify the curriculum of the ocean civil engineering department in junior college. We collected and analyzed data which are concerned on the curriculum development or improvement, the marine techniques and the ocean policy. And then we also gathered the opinions of the professors serving at the ocean civil engineering department by holding several conferences and investigated the opinions of the ocean civil engineers serving at the industrial organization by way of the inquring papers. In addition we collected the advices of educational specialists and ocean civil specialists by visiting personally. On the basis of above opinions we developed the jobs of graduates and made a model curriculum shown in Table 6. We tried to intensify the subjects of special basic field related to the ocean & civil engineering and the subjects of basic experiment & practise. The ocean observation practise was newly formed and the E. D. P.S was reinforced.

The tidal flow regime at the shallow sea area is usually decided by topographical factors, such as forms of shorelines, bottom topography, channel, sand bar or tidal flat, etc. This study is on the Keum River Estuary, which appears exactly phenomenons of tide caused by complicated topographical changes, and it is inquired out or not change of depth and current on numerical experiments before and after constructed estuary dike.

To carry out the study on the curriculum development for the ocean civil department in junior college, we collected and analyzed data which are on the curriculum development or improvement of the inside and outside of the country. We also gathered the opinion through the inquiring paper investigation and the consultation to the industrial organization, concerned school and authorities during 6 months from May, 1981. In addition, we analyzed and compared the present curriculum of special civil and ocean civil department in junior college. On the basis of above methods, a result we made a model curriculum shown in Table 10. Under current trend and circumstances of the industrial society, the best way for the curriculum development is to make like the course curriculum. But, it is is difficult to make the course curriculums of the ocean cavil department at present. Because the ocean civil is a branch of general civil engineering, furthermore the oceanic industry of our country is not developed well. So, dividing the major subjects in four fields for operating the model curriculum flexibly with the characteristics of the community and college, we developed the suitable curriculum in junior college course, such as general basic field, special basic field related to the ocean, special basic field related to the general civil and application field. We also tried to entensify the subjects of general basic field, special basic field related to the ocean, and to simplify the number of subjects in the model curriculum. Of course we can't say this model curriculum is perfect. But we believe firmly that the results of this paper will be a help to another curriculum development or improvement study for the ocean civil department in junior college.

Background/Aims: Type 2 autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP) has been considered extremely rare in East Asia. This study aimed to clarify the prevalence, clinical characteristics and radiological findings of type 2 AIP highlighting patients presenting as acute pancreatitis in a single center. Methods: Type 2 AIP patients were classified according to International Consensus Diagnostic Criteria. Radiological findings were compared between type 2 AIP presenting as acute pancreatitis and gallstone pancreatitis. Results: Among 244 patients with AIP, 27 (11.1%) had type 2 AIP (definite, 15 [55.5%] and probable 12 [44.5%]). The median age of patients with type 2 AIP was 29 years (interquartile range, 20 to 39 years). Acute pancreatitis was the most common initial presentation (n=17, 63%) while obstructive jaundice was present in only one patient. Ulcerative colitis (UC) was associated with type 2 AIP in 44.4% (12/27) of patients. Radiological pancreatic imaging such as delayed enhancement of diffusely enlarged pancreas, homogeneous enhancement of focal enlargement/ mass, absent/minimal peripancreatic fat infiltration or fluid collection, and multifocal main pancreatic duct narrowings were helpful for differentiating type 2 AIP from gallstone pancreatitis. During follow-up (median, 32.3 months), two patients (2/25, 8%) experienced relapse. Conclusions: In South Korea, type 2 AIP is not as rare as previously thought. Overall, the clinical profile of type 2 AIP was similar to that of Western countries. Type 2 AIP should be considered in young UC patients with acute pancreatitis of uncertain etiology.
Fabrication and Characteristics of Self-Aligned Dual-Gate Single-Electron Transistors

<P>Single-electron transistors that have electrical tunneling barriers are fabricated, and Coulomb oscillation peaks and negative differential transconductance are observed at room temperature (300 K). Operation characteristics and multioscillation peaks are further investigated at low temperature (80 K). The period of Coulomb oscillation is 2.3 V due to an ultrasmall control gate capacitance, and oscillation peaks are shifted through the side gate bias, which is explained by the derived stability plot for dual-gate structures. Even with the side gates electrically floating, the device still operates as a single-electron transistor since the p-n junction barrier plays a role of tunneling barrier. In addition, by changing the bias condition, double dots are formed along the channel and peak splitting is observed.</P>
Simulation of Gate-All-Around Tunnel Field-Effect Transistor with an n-Doped Layer

<P>We propose a gate-all-around tunnel field effect transistor (GAA TFET) having a n-doped layer at the source junction and investigate its electrical characteristics with device simulation. By introducing the n-doped layer, band-to-band tunneling area is increased and tunneling barrier width is decreased. Also, electric field induced by gate bias is increased by the surrounding gate structure, which makes it possible to obtain a more abrupt band-bending. These effects bring about a significant improvement in on-current and subthreshold characteristics. GAA TFET with n-doped layer shows subthreshold swing at <I>Id</I> =1nA/µm of 32.5mV/dec, average subthreshold swing of 20.6mV/dec. With comparison to other TFET structures, the merits of the proposed device are demonstrated and performance dependences on device parameters are characterized by extensive simulations.</P>
