        Graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) is a frequent complication after bone marrow transplantation. Infectious complications are common in GVHD patients due to defect in cell-mediated immunity. A rare case of S. pneumoniae meningoencephalitis occured in a patient with extensive form of chronic GVHD after allogeneic bone marrow transplantation. He was immediately treated with full dosage of ceftriaxone and ampicillin. He suffered from various complications such as sepsis, acute renal failure, atelectasis, and seizure. Despite of aggressive treatment, he died probably due to renal shutdown and massive subacute cerebral infarction of left cerebral hemisphere. This report showed two unusual and rare features. First, the infection site was CNS rather than respiratory system. Second, the causative organism was S. pneumoniae, which is rare cause of CNS infection in immunocompromised patients.

        활용성 제고를 위한 월드컵경기장 시설복합화의 이용자 선호도에 관한 연구

        In this study, I have investigated and analyzed under the assumption that how the class of the key object using the facilities is to be established with regard to gender, age, located region, time and period is the pivotal point capable of deciding the form of compounding the facilities. As a result, first, it was shown that indoor sports facilities, commercial facilities, and neighborhood life facilities, are sufficient enough and that educational and culture facilities and the place for outdoor activity are deficient. Second, most of the facilities show the specific period in which they are much utilized. Third, regarding the type of development, the type of multi-entertainment center is preferred. Forth, the degree of the facilities for sports and those for education and culture is different in accordance with sex, and there is a tendency that the facilities for physical education, and culture is preferred as the class of age increases, and that public pleasure facilities is preferred as age falls down. Fifth, the analysis of the factor deciding the use of facilities is summarized as four factors such as diversity, approachability, environment, and image. The result of regression has shown that the summarized four factors influences the determining of the facilities for education and culture, classification of the type of development, and the approachable means of transportation. In the above, a balanced compounding which recognized the regional stagnancy, and the difference of the degree of preference classified by age, sex, and period, is necessary. And it is thought that if system is improved so that more comprehensive development plan can be possible, the change of the use of the city plan for the site of the World Cup Stadia can become easy, or if the additional development plan in connection with the designation of special area, and the plan for area unit is boldly established, the free and differential city space will be utilized.

        월드컵경기장의 활용성 제고를 위한 공간계획 현황분석에 관한 연구

        This study is aimed at analyzing the post plans for the utilization of space of respective cities which attracted the WorldCup game, classified by the use of space, and at grasping the characteristics. The post utilization plan which has been promoted so that the invested large scale facilities can be put to use persistently and economically after the WorldCup, is considered in view of public good and profitableness, and in particular, these facilities can be largely divided into physical education facilities of utilization are as follows. First, the characteristics show proportional interrelation which is strong in the number of the users' bracket, population density, utilization area, and utilization ratio. Second, in the ratio between all the areas of the stadia and the utilized area, Seoul and the metropolitan cities form the upper group in accordance with the background conditions of cities, and as we go down to central and southern regions, the ratio of the utilization of the stadia is getting lower and lower. Third, the ratio of the utilization and the occupancy rate of commercial facilities have a interrelation, and regardless of the utilization rate, the occupancy of commercial facilities and that of educational and cultural facilities show strong inverse proportion relation. Fourth, in terms of respective cities, we can see that while Seoul, Kwangju, and Daejeon have emphasized profitableness, Incheon and Ulsan Cities have planned for the WorldCup with the aspect of public good in mind. The rest of the cities have planned, by balancing profitableness and public good.

        한국 재래산양에서 Bovine Viral Diarrhea, Bovine Herpesvirus-1, Parainfluenza Type-3 바이러스에 대한 혈청학적 연구

        The 948 goat sera were serologically tested for ten pathogens including bovine viral diarrhea (BVD), bovine herpes virus type-1 (BHV-1) and parainfluenza virus type-3 (PI-3). By viral neutralizaion test, three pathogens including BVD virus, BHV-1, PI-3 were applied for screening each neutralizing antibody and its titration. Among 948 sera, there were 215 seropositives (22.7%) against BVD virus, 25 (2.6%) against BHV-1 virus, and 161 (17.0%) against PI-3 virus, respectively. In the seropositive cases to BVD virus, provincial prevalence of them were recorded as Gyeongnam(30.8%) for the highest one, while as Jeonbuk (15.8%) and Gyeongbuk(l6.7%) relatively for the lower ones. Among them, higher than 1:8 in antibody titration was classified as 74 cases (34.4%) which were suspected the cycle of its infection in their herds. Among the seropositives to BHV-1, it was relatively lower prevalence rate ranging from 1.7% to 6.7% that those of BVD virus and PI-3, but more importantly they were prevailing across the country. Most of the seropositive cases (42.9%) to PI-3 were classified as 1:4-1:16 in titration, but also distributed all around the country. The prevalence in goats varied according to areas (15.8 to 30.8%). Related to the provincial prevalence of three viral agents in Korean goats, it seemed that three viral pathogens would be directly or indirectly involving in various disorders as primary or secondary causative agents resulting in decreased productivity.

        Recently, much interest has been paid in using plastic materials for replacing glass substrates with increasing applications for large scale flexible flat panel display and flexible film-typed dye sensitized solar cell(DSCs) In particular, flexible film-typed dye sensitized solar cell(DSCs) has attracted much interest because it can be applied to a smart window, a wearable PC as a supplementary power supplier and a winter clothes In this paper ZnO:Al thin film, which serves as a transparent conducting layer, was deposited on the polyethylene terephthalate(PET) substrate by the capacitively coupled r. f. magnetron sputtering method The effect of r. f. discharge power on the morphological, electrical and optical properties of ZnO:Al thin film were studied The film deposited on the PET substrate at r. f. discharge power of above 200 W and gas pressure of 5mTorr showed the minimum resistivity of about 2×10-3 Ω-cm, a transmittance of about 87% and optical band gap of 3.56 eV.

      • DISC-TUBE TYPE MEMBRANE을 이용한 산업폐수재활용에 관한 연구

        The application of membrane technology to treat the industrial wastewater has some difficulties due to their various unique characteristics. That is, treated water from the industrial wastewater facility does not show any common water quality to predict a potential fouling problem in operating membrane facility. For that reason, it is not easy for specific type membrane to choose in treating an industrial wastewater. To select a best suitable membrane process in recycling treated water from the final wastewater treatment facility of roll mill and steel and iron making area at P Steel Works, the effluent was treated with type of disc tube membranes in the pilot-scale plant. The experimental results employing disc tube membrane(Test Ⅲ of roll mill area) revealed that the fouling was comparatively limited by operating the plant at 34 bar showing higher recovery ratio and flow rate of permeation water as 75% and 1,400L/hr respectively. Optimum pre-treatment process was composed of sand filter, BMF(Backwash able micro filter) for the spiral wound membrane, and dual-media filter, micro filter for the disc tube membrane.

        In this study, fiber-optic sensor is fabricated to measure PDD of CLINAC. As a scintillating light generated by a high energy X-ray from the medical LINAC is measured using photo diode amp system, It is expected that a high-resolution, real-time fiber-optic dosimeter for medical LINAC can be developed.

        The drinking water system has enabled us to provide a requested amount of water by a single water pipe wherever and whenever necessary, and it brings a lot of benefits to the people as well as the community concerned. The drinking water system is managed in principle, by water charge as the price of benefits brought by the system. The benefits are quite different according to the purpose of water use. Therefore, if the drinking water system can not bring various kinds of benefits to the people and community at the same time, its significance as a social infrastructure may be diminished.

      • AZO 투명전도막의 전기 광학적 특성에 미치는 PET 기판 표면처리 효과

        In this paper aluminium-doped zinc oxide(ZnO:Al) conducting layer was deposited on polyethylene terephthalate(PET) substrate by r. f. magnetron sputtering method PET substrate was modified by a DBD(dielectric barrier discharge) plasma before sputtering to improve the electric and optical properties of ZnO:Al film and to increase also the deposition rate The effect of heat treatment time on the dectrical, optical, chemical and structural properties of ZnO:Al thin film were investigated experimentally The PET films modified with the DBD plasma showed a significant decrease in water contact angle The deposition rate of ZnO:Al film in the case of the plasma-treated substrate was also increased by around 2 times compared to the untreated substrate The minimum resistivity of about 28×10-3 Ω-cm and transmittance of about 83.3% were obtained under the experimental condition of 6min of heat treatment time.

        한국 재래 산양에서 Leptospira spp.에 대한 혈청역학적 연구

        Between January 1999 and September 2001, 948 sera (120 from each province except 108 from Chungbuk) from 8 provinces were sampled from Korean goats. All the samples were serologically tested for Leptospira spp. By the microscopic agglutination test against four L. interrogans serovars including canicola, icterohaemorrhagiae, pomona and hardjo, 948 Korean goats were confirmed as 11 seropositives (1.2%) only infected with L. icterohemorrhagiae. All positive sera were collected from Gyeonggi (5), Gangwon (4) and Chungbuk (2). Titration of them were classified as 1:100 of 10 sera except one case with 1:200 from Gyeonggi. It was meaningful that the pathogen in Korean goats was mainly distributed in the northen part of the country. Consequently, the results in the study were confirmed and analyzed the recent status of infection of leptospirosisas zoonotic agentsome in Korean goats.
