Generally machine tool has a lot of blocks and contact surfaces for the reason of easiness to manufacture, repair and transport. Even though B.B.S(Building Block System) has lower static stiffness than solid system, B.B.S has advantages of vibration reduction and dynamic stability. In this study, the column model was fixed to the bed by means of inserting thin metallic sheets or gilding on contact surface and obtained the interesting result-these bolted joints improve dynamic characteristics as well as static stiffness-. The result of the model test was applied at the actual lathe by inserting 0.3mm metallic sheets between headstock and bed among the cycle of workpiece-headstock-bed-tool. Similar conclusion was obtained in the actual lathe, that is, dynamic characteristics of spindle system and surface roughness of workpiece are improved according to the hardness of inserted materials.

가리왕산에 분포하는 개미상은 5아과 24속 39종으로 확인되었는데 두마디개미아과는 11속 16종이, 불개미아과는 5속 15종이, 침개미아과는 4속 6종이, 톱니침개미아과와 시베리아개미아과는 각각 1속 1종이 채집되었다. 식생별 개미상은, 신갈나무, 물푸레나무, 피나무, 층층나무가 우점종으로 나타난 활엽수지역에서는 23속 36종의 개미들이 채집되었는데, 스미스개미와 코토쿠뿔개미가 우점종으로 나타났으며 활엽수지역에서만 12속 13종이 채집되었다. 소나무, 잣나무, 낙엽송이 우점종으로 나타난 침엽수지역에서 총 15속 24종의 개미가 채집되었으며, 왕침개미와 스미스개미가 우점종으로 나타났으며 침엽수지역에서만 3속 4종이 채집되었다. 일본왕개미와 곰개미가 두드러지게 나타날 것으로 가정된 지역에서도 스미스개미가 우점하였고, 특히 침개미아과와 시베리아개미아과의 개미들은 고지대로 갈수록 거의 볼 수가 없었다. 두 지역의 공통적으로 나타난 종은 13속 20종으로 이들 중 가장 두드러진 종인 스미스개미(불개미아과)와 코토쿠뿔개미(두마디개미아과)의 colony현황은 저지대에서는 스미스개미가 우세하였고, 고지대에서는 코토쿠뿔개미의 세력이 우세하였다. The ant fauna in Mt. Gariwangsan was composed of 39 species 24 genera 5 subfamilies. The collected ants in Mt. Gariwangsan were Subfamily Myrmicinae(16 species 11 genera), Subfamily Formicinae(15 species 5 genera), Subfamily Ponerinae(6 species 4 genera), Subfamily Amblyoponinae(1 species 1 genera), and Subfamily Dolichoderrinae(1 species 1 genera). Ant fauna by vegetation in Mt. Gariwangsan, 36 species 23 genera were collected in broadleaf tree areas in which Quercus mongolica, Fraxinus rhynchophylla, Tilia amurensis, and Cornus controversa were dominant species. Paratrechina flavipes and Myrmica kotokui were dominant species. 13 species 12 genera were collected only in broadleaf tree areas. In the coniferous tree areas where Pinus densiflora, Pinus korainensis, and Larix kaempferi were dominant, 24 species 15 genera of ants in total were collected. Pachycondyla chinensis and Paratrechina flavipes were dominant species. 4 species 3 genera were collected only in the coniferous tree areas. Paratrechina flavipes was dominant even in the areas in which Camponotus japonicas and Formica japonica had been assumed to be dominant. Specifically, the higher the land was, the rarer Ponerinae and Dolichoderinae were observed. The common species observed in both areas were 20 species 13 genera. Of these ants, Paratrechina flavipes(Subfamily Formicinae) and Myrmica kotokui(Subfamily Myrmicinae) were distinctive ants. With regard to the current state of colony of these species, Paratrechina flavipes was dominant in lowland areas. Myrmica kotokui, on the other hand, was dominant in highland areas.

This study was conducted to estimate temperature effect on the hatching success of Asian Gypsy Moth (AGM), Lymantria dispar (Linne) in different temperature conditions (15, 20, 25, 30, and 35℃). The egg masses were collected during winter season and stored in cold room (4℃). The hatching rate was evaluated from the number of hatched caterpillar for period of 50 days. As a result, hatching rates were 89.80, 92.94, 95.51, 62.02, and 18.35% at 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35℃, respectively. The optimal temperature on the hatching success of AGM egg might be 20~25℃.

The red imported fire ant, Solenopsis invicta Buren, 1972 (Hymenoptera: Formicidae: Myrmicinae) was discovered in Busan sea port, Korea. Only one colony was found and then removed rapidly by Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency. 벌목 개미과 두마디개미아과(Hymenoptera: Formicidae: Myrmicinae)의 Solenopsis invicta Buren, 1972가 국내 부산항에서 처음 발견되어 농림축산검역본부에 의해 신속하게 제거되었다.

본 논문에서는 직렬 급전 마이크로스트립 배열 안테나의 광대역 특성을 구현하기 위해 주파수에 따른 빔 틸팅 특성을 억제하는 갭 커플링 직렬 급전 마이크로스트립 배열 단일 안테나를 설계하였다. 이를 바탕으로 79 GHz 밀리미터파 대역 차량 레이다용 안테나로 적용할 수 있도록 광대역 갭 커플링 직렬 급전 마이크로스트립 배열 안테나로 확장하였다. 79 GHz 대역에서 시뮬레이션 및 실험 결과를 서로 비교함으로써 설계한 안테나의 성능을 검증하였다. In this paper, the design of a gap-coupled series-fed microstrip array antenna, which suppresses beam tilting characteristics to realize the broadband, is presented. Based on the unit antenna, this application is extended to a gap-coupled series-fed microstrip array antenna to be applied to an antenna for a 79-GHz millimeter-wave band vehicle-based radar. Measurements were performed to validate the designed antennas for use in automotive radar applications.
Distribution of Ants (Insecta, Hymenoptera) in Chiaksan Mountain, Prov. Gangweon, Korea

To survey the appearance pattern of ants in Mt. Chiaksan, 1,358 colonies 0f ant species were collected in three courses for two years (2009~2010). As the result, the ant fauna of Mt. Chiaksan were found to be 57 species belonging to 27 genera under 6 subfamilies. Among them, 15 species were newly recorded to inhabit in Mt. Chiaksan: Pachycondyla chinensis, P. pilosior, Hypoponera gleadowi, Proceratium itoi, Myrmica kotokui, M. kurokii, Stenamma ussuriensis, Leptothorax acervorum, Monomorium chinense, Mo. intrudens, Crematogaster vagulla, Camponotus vitiosus, Formica sanguinea, F. yessensis, and Lasius umbratus. Consequently a total of 60 species under 27 genera of Formicidae are recorded from Mt. Chiaksan.
