Phosphorus accumulating microorganisms (PAOs) are influenced by various environmental factors and heavy metals. This study was performed to evaluate the effects of the selected heavy metals on the growth and phosphorus removal capacity of Bacillus sp. 3434 BRRJ, Pseudomonas aerunogisa, and Bacillus Subtilis, well known as PAOs. The heavy metals used in this study included Cu, Cd, As, and Zn. The $IC_{50}$ (median inhibition concentration) values of Bacillus sp. 3434 BRRJ for the Cu, Cd, As, and Zn were 8.07 mg $L^{-1}$, 0.18 mg $L^{-1}$, 73.62 mg $L^{-1}$ and 0.25 mg $L^{-1}$, respectively. The $IC_{50}$ values of Pseudomonas aerunogisa for the Cu, Cd, As, and Zn were 4.45 mg $L^{-1}$, 0.16 mg $L^{-1}$, 18.51 mg $L^{-1}$ and 2.34 mg $L^{-1}$, respectively. The $IC_{50}$ values of Bacillus Subtilis for the Cu, Cd, As, and Zn were 3.81 mg $L^{-1}$, 0.18 mg $L^{-1}$, 11.31 mg $L^{-1}$ and 0.47 mg $L^{-1}$, respectively. The phosphorus removal efficiencies of the three bacteria, Bacillus sp. 3434 BRRJ, Pseudomonas aerunogisa, and Bacillus subtilis were 93.12%, 71.81%, and 65.31%, respectively. Based on the results of the three PAOs obtained from the study, it appears that Bacillus sp. 3434BRRJ may have the best results in terms of their growth rate and P removal efficiencies.

We divided the sample into four groups by temperature regimes and comparing the Lethal effect after exposure to high room temperatures for 50~58 days. After inoculating Cnidium officinale Makino with Tribolium castaneum Herbst, the storage insects of medicinal herbs, was 20 respectively. The results of treating cut Cninium officinale Makino are listed below. Survival rate of group A by exposure of 5 times at 35~36.5℃ is less than 7.5%. Survival rate of group C by exposure of 5 times at 35.5~39.5℃ and group D by exposure of 23day at 37~44℃ is less than 2.5%. Especially in the case of group D, we found that complete eradication of the insect is difficult despite exposure high temperature for a long time. Also most of the grinded Cninium officinale Makino has the same patten but group B by relatively treated low temperature has a significant difference in mortality. Insect mortality in cut Cninium officinale Makino by exposure at 35℃ and 39.5℃ is 7.5% and the insect mortality in grinded Cninium officinale Makino by exposure at 39. 5℃ is only 75%. The reason is estimated that heat conduction of grinded Cninium officinale Makino is slow and it was less shocked by heat because The final core temperature of medicinal herbs is relatively low about 0.5~2℃. This means that storage insect(Tribolium castaneum Herbst) can be suppressed at mid-high temperature if it is to be treated more than 50 days without problem of quality deterioration of medicinal herbs that can be caused by high temperature.

Currently, the storage temperature of the production factory of medicinal herbs (hGMP) is about 5~ 12℃. This temperature is possible to suppress pest but can not kill the pests. For this reason, we need to lower the temperature during lethal time because the pest has often occurred inside the packaging of medicinal herbs in the distribution process in summer. In order to solve this problem, we have investigated the lethal time of the storage insect(Tribolium castaneum Herbst) After we froze medicinal herbs(Cnidium officinale Makino and Angelica gigas N. ) at approx. –70℃ and –15℃ respectively. We then investigated the change of bioactive components and exterior characteristics of medicinal herbs in order to determine whether there is a change of quality. The results were as follows. The lethal time of Tribolium castaneum Herbst is about 2 minutes if processed at approx. –70℃, while the other time is about 16 minutes at approx. –15℃. We investigated the change of quality after the treatment of the two medicinal herbs in the similar way but could not confirm the difference of color and brightness and the bioactive components on statistics. Through this research, it has been verified that the process of quick freezing for pest control can not affect the main quality of the medicinal herbs. Therefore this technology can be introduced in the manufacturing process of medicinal herbs through additional research.

The purpose of this study is to develop a skin bioactive care medical device material that promotes skin bioactivity and has proven anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, and moisturizing effects by extracting λ-carrageenan from red algae species such as G. verrucosa, G. vermiculophylla, C.tenellus, and G.furcata. We have established an extraction and refining process for λ-carrageenan from the four red algae species, which yielded a 12.2% extraction efficiency according to the Food Safety Korea guidelines. The comparison of the FT-IR spectra revealed that λ-carrageenan exhibited a characteristic peak at 830 cm-1, in the region of β-D-galactose-2-sulfate, and showed a similar overall pattern to the control group. The quantitative analysis of the monosaccharide composition of λ-carrageenan indicated that it contained 55.32% galactose and 25.14% glucose. In the MTT assay conducted on Raw264.7 and HaCaT cells, λ-carrageenan demonstrated a cell survival rate of over 80% even at a concentration of 5000 μg/mL. To evaluate the anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, and moisturizing efficacy of λ-carrageenan, the levels of MMP-1 (collagenase) production, nitric oxide (NO) production, and hyaluronic acid (HA) production were examined in both Raw264.7 and HaCaT cell lines. The concentrations tested were 100, 300, and 500 μg/mL. The results of the study demonstrated that λ-carrageenan had significant effects on the production of nitric oxide (NO) and MMP-1 (collagenase), showing inhibition compared to the control group. Additionally, the production of hyaluronic acid (HA) was increased. The stability testing of the bioactive care medical device cream containing λ-carrageenan was conducted using various conditions. These conditions included light exposure, temperatures of 5℃, 25℃, and 40℃, and durations of 1, 7, 15, and 30 days. The pH changes, separation and precipitation, discoloration, and odor were examined, and it was confirmed that the material remained stable. Therefore, it can be inferred that λ-carrageenan derived from red algae is suitable as an effective component in skin bioactive care medical devices, medical device creams, and cosmeceutical materials for skin damage treatment and regeneration. Additionally, it can also contribute to skincare and beauty routines.

Cosmetics market information is important due to advances in information communication technology and the growth of cosmetics market. This study analyzed the relationship between the pre-purchase utilization of information (commercial, neutral, personal and experiential) and the post-purchase satisfaction of skin care cosmetics, categorized as functionality, safety, economic feasibility, information reliability, purchase convenience, condition of purchase place, packaging/design of product and service. This study analyzed reliability, frequency, differences, correlation and regression analysis using SPSS ver. 24.0. The study results are summarized as follows. First, gender was a significant variable in the level of information source utilization. Women used commercial, neutral, and experiential information sources more actively than men. However, women had lower post-purchase satisfaction that could be understood through expectation disconfirmation theory. Women have very high expectations that can lower post-purchase satisfaction. Second, information source utilization can improve post-purchase satisfaction for cosmetics. The consumer post-purchase satisfact the lowest in the commercial information source; however, consumers were satisfied when the commercial informationinformation sourceenon and regre. Third, the consumeried itnformation sourceenon and regression analysis ial, neutral, source and reflected the characteristics of experiential goods. Therefore, companies should provide accurate commercial, personal and experiential information to increase consumervide accurate commercial, per as well as conduct experiential marketing

Salidroside [2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethyl beta-D-glucopyranoside (SAS)] has been identified as the most potent ingredient of the plant Rhodiola rosea L. Previous studies have demonstrated that it possesses a number of pharmacological properties, including anti-aging, anti-fatigue, antioxidant, anticancer and anti-inflammatory properties. In this study, to ascertain the molecular mechanisms responsible for the anti-inflammatory activity of SAS, we used phorbol-12-myristate-13-acetate (PMA) plus A23187 to induce inflammation in human mast cell line-1 (HMC-1). The HMC-1 cells were treated with SAS prior to being stimulated with PMA plus A23187. Pro-inflammatory cytokine production was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Western blot analysis was used to examine the activation of mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs) and nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NF-kappa B). SAS inhibited the mRNA expression and production of interleukin (IL)-6, IL-8 and tumor necrosis factor (TNF). In cells stimulated with PMA plus A23187, SAS suppressed the phosphorylation of extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK)1/2 and c-jun N-terminal kinase 1/2 (JNK1/2), but not that of p38 MAPK. SAS suppressed the expression of NF-kappa B in the nucleus. On the whole, our results suggest that SAS exerts an anti-inflammatory effect by inhibiting the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines through the blocking of the NF-kappa B and MAPK signaling pathways.
