Zhang, Chun-Pu,Li, Hua-Qing,Zhang, Wei-Tao,Liu, Ming-Hui,Pan, Wen-Jing Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.11

Objective: To explore the clinical manifestations and imaging characteristics of gliomatosis cerebri to raise the awareness and improve its diagnostic accuracy for patients. Materials and Methods: Clinical data, imaging characteristics and pathological examination of 12 patients with GC from Jan., 2008 to Jan., 2012 were analyzed retrospectively. Results: Patients with GC were clinically manifested with headache, vomiting, repeated seizures, fatigue and unstable walking, most of whom had more than 2 lesions involving in parietal lobe, followed by temporal lobe, frontal lobe, periventricular white matter and corpus callosum. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showed diffuse distribution, T1-weighted images (T1WI) with equal and low signals and T2-weighted images (T2WI) with bilateral symmetrical high diffuse signals. There was no reinforcement by enhancement scanning and signals were different in diffusion-weighted images (DWI). The higher the tumor staging, the stronger the signals. Pathological examination showed neuroastrocytoma in which tumor tissues were manifested by infiltrative growth in blood vessels and around neurons. Conclusions: In clinical diagnosis of GC, much attention should be paid to the diffuse distribution of imaging characteristics, incomplete matching between clinical and imaging characteristics and confirmation by combining with histopathological examination.

Traditional Chinese medicine for COVID-19 pandemic and emerging challenges: An online cross-sectional survey in China

        Chun-Li Lu,Ruo-Xiang Zheng,Xue Xue,Xiao-Wen Zhang,Xue-Han Liu,Xin-Yan Jin,Feng-Lan Pu,Hui-Di Lan,Min Fang,Ling-Yao Kong,Merlin Willcox,Bertrand Graz,Joelle Houriet,Xiao-Yang Hu,Jian-ping Liu 한국한의학연구원 2021 Integrative Medicine Research Vol.10 No.-

Background We aimed to investigate use of infection control behaviours, preventative and therapeutic interventions, and outcomes among respondents to an online survey during the COVID-19 pandemic in China. Methods The survey was designed by an international team, translated and adapted to simplified Chinese, including 132 kinds of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) preparation recommended by guidelines. It was distributed and collected from February to May 2021, with data analysed by WPS spreadsheet and wjx.cn. Descriptive statistics were used to describe demographics and clinical characteristics, diagnosis, treatments, preventative behaviours and interventions, and their associated outcomes. Results The survey was accessed 503 times with 341 (67.8%) completions covering 23 provinces and four municipalities in China. Most (282/341, 82.7%) respondents reported no symptoms during the pandemic and the majority (290/341, 85.0%) reported having a SARS-CoV-2 PCR test at some point. Forty-five (13.2%) reported having a respiratory infection, among which 19 (42.2%) took one or more categories of modern medicine, e.g. painkillers, antibiotics; 16 (35.6%) used TCM interventions(s); while seven respondents combined TCM with modern medicine. All respondents reported using at least one behavioural or medical approach to prevention, with 22.3% taking TCM and 5.3% taking modern medicines. No respondents reported having a critical condition related to COVID-19. Conclusion We found evidence of widespread use of infection control behaviours, modern medicines and TCM for treatment and prevention of COVID-19 and other respiratory symptoms. Larger scale studies are warranted, including a more representative sample exploring TCM preparations recommended in clinical guidelines. Wavelet PWM Technique for Single-Phase Three-Level Inverters

        Chun-Fang Zheng,Bo Zhang,Dong-Yuan Qiu,Xiao-Hui Zhang,Le-Ming Xiao 전력전자학회 2015 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.15 No.6

The wavelet PWM (WPWM) technique has been applied in two-level inverters successfully, but directly applying the WPWM technique to three-level inverters is impossible. This paper proposes a WPWM technique suitable for a single-phase three-level inverter. The work analyzes the control strategy with the WPWM and obtains the design of its parameters. Compared with the SPWM technique for a single-phase three-level inverter under the same conditions, the WPWM can obtain high magnitudes of the output fundamental frequency component, low total harmonic distortion, and simpler digital implementation. The feasibility experiment is given to verify of the proposed WPWM technique.

Expression Patterns of Circular RNAs from Primary Kinase Transcripts in the Mammary Glands of Lactating Rats

        Chun-lei Zhang,Hui Wu,YanHong Wang,YuLong Zhao,XingTang Fang,CaiFa Chen,Hong Chen 한국유방암학회 2015 Journal of breast cancer Vol.18 No.3

Purpose: Circular RNAs (circRNAs), a novel class of RNAs, perform important functions in biological processes. However, the role of circRNAs in the mammary gland remains unknown. The present study is aimed at identifying and characterizing the circRNAs expressed in the mammary gland of lactating rats. Methods: Deep sequencing of RNase R-enriched rat lactating mammary gland samples was performed and circRNAs were predicted using a previously reported computational pipeline. Gene ontology terms of circRNA-producing genes were also analyzed. Results: A total of 6,824 and 4,523 circRNAs were identified from rat mammary glands at two different lactation stages. Numerous circRNAs were specifically expressed at different lactation stages, and only 1,314 circRNAs were detected at both lactation stages. The majority of the candidate circRNAs map to noncoding intronic and intergenic regions. The results demonstrate a circular preference or specificity of some genes. DAVID analysis revealed an enrichment of protein kinases and related proteins among the set of genes encoding circRNAs. Interestingly, four protein-coding genes (Rev3l, IGSF11, MAML2, and LPP) that also transcribe high levels of circRNAs have been reported to be involved in cancer. Conclusion: Our findings provide the basis for comparison between breast cancer profiles and for selecting representative circRNA candidates for future functional characterization in breast development and breast cancer.

        Zhang, Yu-Mei,Li, Yong-Qiang,Liu, Zhi-Hui,Liao, Xiao-Li,Liang, Rong,Lin, Yan,Yuan, Chun-Ling,Liao, Si-Na,Liang, Chao-Yong,Li, Qian,Li, Le-Qun Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.8

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of bevacizumab concomitant with pemetrexed in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Materials and Methods: A total of 72 patients were randomly divided into a combination group (pemetrexed+bevacizumab, n=36) and a pemetrexed group (n=36) and assessed for disease control (CR+PR+SD) after 4-cycles of first-line GP chemotherapy (gemcitabine+cisplatin). Clinical efficacy, progression-free survival time (PFS), overall survival time (OS), overall response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR) and rate of adverse responses between two groups were observed and compared. Results: ORR and DCR were 27.8% and 83.4% in combination group, and 16.7% and 69.5% in the pemetrexed group, respectively, but there were no significant differences (P>0.05). PFS in combination group and pemetrexed group were 4.6 months and 3.9 months respectively (P=0.09), whereas OS in the combination group was 14 months, evidently higher than in the pemetrexed group (11 months, P=0.004). Adverse responses in both groups included high blood pressure, bleeding, thrombocytopenia, anemia, elevated transaminase, diarrhea, vomiting and proteinuria, but there were no significant differences (P>0.05). Conclusions: Bevacizumab concomitant with pemetrexed has better clinical efficacy and safety, giving rise to prolonged survival time in patients with advanced NSCLC.

      • Extracting Clone Genealogies for Tracking Code Clone Changes

        Chun-Hui Wang,Ying Tu,,Li-Ping Zhang,Dong-Sheng Liu 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Security and Its Applicat Vol.10 No.3

Software system’s clones are usually two aspects influence on software maintenance and management. One is some clones are effective and can reuse. The other is some clones are unsafe and need revise or reconfiguration. The reason is that the changes of code clones are different. How to determine the clones' attribute of effective or unsafe, it need to track clone changes in the evolution versions of a software system. We firstly find the clones and clone groups in multiple versions of a software system using a clone detector FCD, and construct the mapping of every adjacent version basing on the similarity of code clones, then extract clone genealogies in the software system. The clone genealogies’ results are efficient and can help us analysis the code clone changes and get the attribute about effective and unsafe.

      • RPSA Gene Mutants Associated with Risk of Colorectal Cancer among the Chinese Population

        Zhang, Shan-Chun,Jin, Wen,Liu, Hui,Jin, Ming-Juan,Chen, Ze-Xin,Ding, Zhe-Yuan,Zheng, Shuang-Shuang,Wang, Li-Juan,Yu, Yun-Xian,Chen, Kun Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2013 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.14 No.12

The primary aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in ribosomal protein SA (RPSA) gene with colorectal cancer (CRC). A case-control study including 388 controls and 387 patients with CRC was conducted in a Chinese population. Information about socio-demography and living behavior factors was collected by a structured questionnaire. Three SNPs (rs2133579, rs2269349, rs7641291) in RPSA gene were genotyped by Illumina SnapShot method. Multiple logistic regression models were used for assessing the joint effects between tea consumption and SNPs on CRC. The subjects with rs2269349 CC genotype had a decreased risk for CRC (OR=0.60; 95%CI = 0.37-0.99), compared with TT/CT genotype after adjustment for covariates. A similar association of rs2269349 with rectal cancer was observed (OR=0.49; 95%CI=0.24-1.00). Further analyses indicated that this SNP could modify the protective effect of tea drinking on CRC. Among the subjects with rs2269349 TT/CT or rs2133579 AA/GA, there was a marginal significantly lower risk of CRC (OR and 95%CI: 0.63 and 0.39-1.01 for rs2269349; 0.64 and 0.40-1.02 for rs2133579) in tea-drinking subjects in comparison to non-tea-drinking subjects. Mutants in the RPSA gene might be associated with genetic susceptibility to CRC and influence the protective effect of tea consumption in the Chinese population.

An Improved Wavelet PWM Technique with Output Voltage Amplitude Control for Single-phase Inverters

        Chun-Fang Zheng,Bo Zhang,Dong-Yuan Qiu,Xiao-Hui Zhang,Rui Li 전력전자학회 2016 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.16 No.4

Unlike existing pulse-width modulation (PWM) techniques, such as sinusoidal PWM and random PWM, the wavelet PWM (WPWM) technique based on a Harr wavelet function can achieve a high fundamental component for the output voltage, low total harmonic distortion, and simple digital implementation. However, the original WPWM method lacks output voltage control. Thus, the practical application of the WPWM technique is limited. This study proposes an improved WPWM technique that can regulate output voltage amplitude with the addition of a parameter. The relationship between the additional parameter and the output voltage amplitude is analyzed in detail. Experimental results verify that the improved WPWM exhibits output voltage control in addition to all the merits of the WPWM technique.

A Novel Multi-Path Routing Algorithm Based on Clustering for Wireless Mesh Networks

        ( Chun-xiao Liu ),( Yan Zhang ),( E Xu ),( Yu-qiang Yang ),( Xu-hui Zhao ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2014 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.8 No.4

As one of the new self-organizing and self-configuration broadband networks, wireless mesh networks are being increasingly attractive. In order to solve the load balancing problem in wireless mesh networks, this paper proposes a novel multi-path routing algorithm based on clustering (Cluster_MMesh) for wireless mesh networks. In the clustering stage, on the basis of the maximum connectivity clustering algorithm and k-hop clustering algorithm, according to the idea of maximum connectivity, a new concept of node connectivity degree is proposed in this paper, which can make the selection of cluster head more simple and reasonable. While clustering, the node which has less expected load in the candidate border gateway node set will be selected as the border gateway node. In the multi-path routing establishment stage, we use the intra-clustering multi-path routing algorithm and inter-clustering multi-path routing algorithm to establish multi-path routing from the source node to the destination node. At last, in the traffic allocation stage, we will use the virtual disjoint multi-path model (Vdmp) to allocate the network traffic. Simulation results show that the Cluster_MMesh routing algorithm can help increase the packet delivery rate, reduce the average end to end delay, and improve the network performance.
