수종의 세멘트가 근관 치료된 치아의 포스트 유지에 미치는 영향

근관치료된 치아에 포스트를 할 경우 세멘트의종류와 포스트의 직경이 포스트의 유지력에 어떠한 영향을 주는지 알아보기 위하여, 하악절치 33개와 견치 17개를 이용하여 법랑-백악질 경계선상에서 치아장축에 수직되게 절단한 후 근관치료 및 근관충전을 하였다. 기성품의 parallel Para-post를 샌드브라스팅하여 깊이 7mm로 하여, Ⅰ에는 Z,P,C., Ⅱ에는 Panavia, Ⅲ군에는 All-Bond 및 복합레진으로 세멘트하였다. 1주일간의 레진 세멘트 경화시간을 준 후 인스트론 만능시험기에 치아를 거상하고 cross head speed 1mm/min로 인장력을 가하여 유지력을 측정하고, 치근 내부를 주사 전자 현미경으로 관찰하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 하악절치에서 평균 파단하중은 Ⅲ군에서 48.49±13.51Kg중, Ⅱ군에 서 21.47±9.32Kg중, Ⅰ군에서 21.34±7.85Kg중의 순서로 나타났으며 Ⅲ군이 Ⅰ군과 Ⅱ군에 비해 통계적으로 유의성있는 차이를 나타내었다(P<0.01). 2. 견치에서 평균 파단하중은 Ⅲ군에서 42.99±7.87Kg중,Ⅰ군에서 29.58±7.47Kg중, Ⅱ군에서 28.55±4.37Kg중으로 Ⅲ군이 Ⅰ군과 Ⅱ군에 비하여 통계적으로 유의성있는 차이를 나타내었다(P<0.05). 3. 포스트 직경의 크기에 따른 파단하중의 비교에 있어서, 각각의 실험군 내에서 Φ1mm의 하악절치와 Φ 1.25mm의 견치 사이에는 통계적 으로 유의성이 없었다(P>0.05). 4. 레진의 기계적 결합을 관찰하기 위한 주사전자 현미경 관찰에서 Ⅱ군에서는 상아질 세관내에 레진 tag가 관찰되지 않았으며, Ⅲ군 에서는 상아질 세관내에 레진tag가 상당히 관찰되었으나, 일부 치아에서는 관찰되지 않은 경우도 있었다. The prupose of this study was to evaluate the effect of various cements and the diameter of posts to retention of the post in endodontically treated teeth. Thirty three mandibular incisors and seventeen canines were used. The coronal portion of the teeth were removed at the cemento-enamel junction. Every tooth was made with a Para-post drill to the depth of 7mm(P-42-4 in mandibular incisors, P-42-5 in canines). The teeth were divided into three groups. Group Ⅰ was composed of 11 mandibular incisors & 6 canines, and posts were cemented with zinc phosphate cement. Group Ⅱ was composed of 11 mandibular incisors & 6 canines, and posts were cemented with Panavia cement. Group Ⅲ was composed of 11 mandibular incisors & 5 canines, and posts were cemented with All-Bond & composite luting cement. A special retention jig was made. After 1 week, teeth with cemeted posts were mounted on a retention jig and the failure loads of the specimens were measured by an Instron Universal Testinng Machine. Scanning electron microscopy examined the internal surface of the roots. The results were as follows; 1. There was a statistically significant difference between the failure loads of group Ⅲ and the others in the mandibular incisors(P<0.01). 2. There was a statistically significant difference between the failure loads of group Ⅲ and the others in canines(P<0.05). 3. There was no statistically significant difference between degrees of diameter of post in each experimental group(P>0.05). 4. In examination by scanning electron microscopy, group Ⅱ had no resin tags on the dentinal tubules. Group Ⅲ had resin tags on the dentinal tubules, though not present in some parts.

목적: 이중분광계수(Bispectral Index Score)는 중환자실에서 진정의 정도를 가하는 도구로 사용되고있다. 저자들은 뇌손상환자에서 진정척도를 사용하여 의식의 정도를 측정할 때 말이나 통중의 자극으로 인해 이중분광지수가 변할수 있다고 가정하였다. 방법: 42명의 뇌손상환자에서 진정척도를 사용하여 자극을 주기 5분전과 5분후에 이중편광계수를 측정하여 연관성을 확인하였다. 결과: 이중편광계수는 측정시간에 따라 차이가 없었다. 평균 이중편광계수는 Glasgow Coma Score (GCS), Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale (RASS), Reaction Level Scale(RLS)와 연관성이 있었다. 결론: 진정척도와 이중편광지수와의 연관성은 자국의 유무에 의해 영향을 받지 않는 것으로 보인다.
Phenylephrine, a small molecule, inhibits pectin methylesterases

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Pectin methylesterases (PMEs) catalyze pectin demethylation and facilitate the determination of the degree of methyl esterification of cell wall in higher plants. The regulation of PME activity through endogenous proteinaceous PME inhibitors (PMEIs) alters the status of pectin methylation and influences plant growth and development. In this study, we performed a PMEI screening assay using a chemical library and identified a strong inhibitor, phenylephrine (PE). PE, a small molecule, competitively inhibited plant PMEs, including orange PME and <I>Arabidopsis</I> PME. Physiologically, cultivation of <I>Brassica campestris</I> seedlings in the presence of PE showed root growth inhibition. Microscopic observation revealed that PE inhibits elongation and development of root hairs. Molecular studies demonstrated that <U>R</U>oot <U>H</U>air <U>S</U>pecific 12 (RHS12) encoding a PME, which plays a role in root hair development, was inhibited by PE with a Ki value of 44.1 μM. The biochemical mechanism of PE-mediated PME inhibition as well as a molecular docking model between PE and RHS12 revealed that PE interacts within the catalytic cleft of RHS12 and interferes with PME catalytic activity. Taken together, these findings suggest that PE is a novel and non-proteinaceous PME inhibitor. Change of Phase Transformation Temperature at Fabricated Membrane using Sol-gel Method

The supported and unsupported boehmite ($\gamma$-AlOOH) membranes were prepared using a boehmite sol. The supported membrane was consisted of a porcelain support, two intermediate $\alpha-{Al_2}{O_3}$ layers, and a top boehmite membrane. XRD patterns showed that the supported top membrane had a higher $\theta-$ to $\alpha-{Al_2}{O_3}$ transformation temperature compared to the unsupported membrane. This result was also confirmed from microstructural study of the membrane. The shift in the phase transformation temperature should be explained by difference of a stress generated in the supported top membrane due to interaction between the support layers and the top membrane.
Identification of Quantitative Trait Loci (QTL) Affecting Teat Number in Pigs

Quantitative trait loci (QTL) mapping can be applied to detect chromosomal locations that control economic traits in farm animals. Teat number has been considered as one of the most important factors to evaluate mothering ability of sow. Especially, teat number is more important when the number is less than the litter size. This study was conducted to identify QTL affecting teat number in the Korean native pig${\times}$Landrace resource family. A total of 240 animals was genotyped for 132 polymorphic microsatellites covering the 18 pig autosomes. Mean and standard deviation of teat number in $F_2$animals is 13.46${\pm}$1.40. QTL was analyzed using F2 QTL Analysis Servlet of QTL express. A QTL for teat number on SSC9 was significant at the 1% chromosome-wide level and three suggestive QTL were detected on SSC3, 7 and 14. All QTL detected in this study had additive effect and Landrace alleles were associated with higher teat number in comparison with Korean native pig for three of four QTL.
