Bright all-solution-processed CsPbBr3 perovskite light emitting diodes optimized by quaternary ammonium salt

        Liu Ning,You Fangtian,Ji Chao,Gong Hongkang,Song Qi,Li Jiasen,Liang Chunjun,He Zhiqun 한국물리학회 2021 Current Applied Physics Vol.31 No.-

Perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs) prepared by the all-solution-process are gradually coming into view due to their low cost and flexible production process. However, the performance of CsPbBr3 device is limited by the high non-radiative recombination losses due to incomplete surface coverage and grain defects. Here a quaternary ammonium salt, tetrabutylammonium hexafluorophosphate (TBA-PF6) was simultaneously introduced into perovskite emission layers (CsPbBr3) and electron transport layer (TPBi (1,3,5-Tris(1-phenyl-1Hbenzimidazol- 2-yl) benzene) dissolved in ethyl acetate). As a result, the morphology and luminescence of CsPbBr3 films were improved, and the energy level of TPBi was more conducive to charge transport. Consequently, the maximum luminance and current efficiency of the modified green-emitting PeLEDs are improved. Furthermore, the optimized device had an operating life of more than 20 min at an initial luminance of 1230 cd/ m2. This work provides a simple and easy method to be scaled up for the development of low-cost all-solutionprocessed PeLEDs.

      • Toll-Like Receptor 4 Mutation Protects Obese Mice Against Endothelial Dysfunction by Decreasing NADPH Oxidase Isoforms 1 and 4

Liang, Chao-Fan,Liu, Jacky TC,Wang, Yu,Xu, Aimin,Vanhoutte, Paul M. American Heart Association, Inc. 2013 Arteriosclerosis, thrombosis, and vascular biology Vol.33 No.4

<P><B>Objective—</B></P><P>To analyze the role of toll-like receptor 4 in modulating metabolism and endothelial function.</P><P><B>Approach and Results—</B></P><P>Type 2 diabetic mice with mutated toll-like receptor 4 (DWM) were protected from hyperglycemia and hypertension, despite an increased body weight. Isometric tension was measured in arterial rings with endothelium. Relaxations to acetylcholine were blunted in aortae and mesenteric arteries of Leprdb/db mice, but not in DWM mice; the endothelial NO synthase dimer/monomer ratio and endothelial NO synthase phosphorylation levels were higher in DWM preparations. These differences were abolished by apocynin. Contractions to acetylcholine (in the presence of L-NAME) were larger in carotid arteries from Leprdb/db mice than from DWM mice and were inhibited by indomethacin and SC560, demonstrating involvement of cyclooxygenase-1. The release of 6-ketoprostaglandin F1α was lower in DWM mice arteries, implying lower cyclooxygenase-1 activity. Apocynin, manganese(III) tetrakis(1-methyl-4-pyridyl) porphyrin, catalase, and diethyldithiocarbamate inhibited endothelium-dependent contractions. The mRNA and protein levels of NADPH oxidase isoforms NOX1 and NOX4 were downregulated in DWM mice arteries. The in vivo and in vitro administration of lipopolysaccharide caused endothelial dysfunction in the arteries of wild-type, but not toll-like receptor 4–mutated mice.</P><P><B>Conclusions—</B></P><P>Toll-like receptor 4 plays a key role in obesity and diabetes-associated endothelial dysfunction by increasing oxidative stress.</P>

Value Sharing and Uniqueness for the Power of P-Adic Meromorphic Functions

        CHAO MENG,Gang Liu,Liang Zhao 한국전산응용수학회 2018 Journal of applied mathematics & informatics Vol.36 No.1

In this paper, we deal with the uniqueness problem for the power of p-adic meromorphic functions. The results obtained in this paper are the p-adic analogues and supplements of the theorems given by Yang and Zhang [Non-existence of meromorphic solution of a Fermat type functional equation, Aequationes Math. 76(2008), 140-150], Chen, Chen and Li [Uniqueness of difference operators of meromorphic functions, J. Association between Initial Chest CT or Clinical Features and Clinical Course in Patients with Coronavirus Disease 2019 Pneumonia

        Liu Zhe,Jin Chao,Wu Carol C.,Liang Ting,Zhao Huifang,Wang Yan,Wang Zekun,Li Fen,Zhou Jie,Cai Shubo,Zeng Lingxia,Yang Jian 대한영상의학회 2020 Korean Journal of Radiology Vol.21 No.6

Objective: To identify the initial chest computed tomography (CT) findings and clinical characteristics associated with the course of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pneumonia. Materials and Methods: Baseline CT scans and clinical and laboratory data of 72 patients admitted with COVID-19 pneumonia (39 men, 46.2 ± 15.9 years) were retrospectively analyzed. Baseline CT findings including lobar distribution, presence of ground glass opacities, consolidation, linear opacities, and lung severity score were evaluated. The outcome event was recovery with hospital discharge. The time from symptom onset to discharge or the end of follow-up (for those remained hospitalized) was recorded. Data were censored in events such as death or discharge without recovery. Multivariable Cox proportional hazard regression was used to explore the association between initial CT, clinical or laboratory findings, and discharge with recovery, whereby hazard ratio (HR) values < 1 indicated a lower rate of discharge at four weeks and longer time until discharge. Results: Thirty-two patients recovered and were discharged during the study period with a median length of admission of 16 days (range, 9 to 25 days), while the rest remained hospitalized at the end of this study (median, 17.5 days; range, 4 to 27 days). None died during the study period. After controlling for age, onset time, lesion characteristics, number of lung lobes affected, and bilateral involvement, the lung severity score on baseline CT (> 4 vs. ≤ 4 [reference]: adjusted HR = 0.41 [95% confidence interval, CI = 0.18–0.92], p = 0.031) and initial lymphocyte count (reduced vs. normal or elevated [reference]: adjusted HR = 0.14 [95% CI = 0.03–0.60], p = 0.008) were two significant independent factors that influenced recovery and discharge. Conclusion: Lung severity score > 4 and reduced lymphocyte count at initial evaluation were independently associated with a significantly lower rate of recovery and discharge and extended hospitalization in patients admitted for COVID-19 pneumonia.

Cloning and differential expression of three heat shock protein genes associated with thermal stress from the wolf spider Pardosa pseudoannulata (Araneae: Lycosidae)

        Sun Liang-Yu,Liu Jing,Li Qin,Fu Di,Zhu Jia-Yun,Guo Jian-Jun,Xiao Rong,Jin Dao-Chao 한국응용곤충학회 2021 Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology Vol.24 No.1

Pardosa pseudoannulata is the main predatory natural enemy of crop pests in a paddy ecosystem. When P. pseudoannulata is exposed to unfavorable temperature conditions, the response of heat shock proteins could resist the damage, and is therefore, conducive to the organism’s rapid adaptation to the surrounding stress environ ment. In this study, we explored the roles of hsp70 and hsp90 genes in response to heat stress, using the rapid amplification of cDNA ends technique and cloned full-length cDNAs of Pphsp70, Pphsp83, and Pphsp90. The mRNA expression levels of the three genes under different temperature stresses (25, 28, 31, 34, 37, 40, and 43 ◦ C) and with different duration stresses (4, 8, 12, 16, and 20 h) were analyzed by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction. The full-length cDNA of Pphsp70, Pphsp83, and Pphsp90 was 2331 base pair (bp), 2466 bp, and 2663 bp, respectively. Phylogenetic analysis of amino acid sequences of Pphsp70, Pphsp83, and Pphsp90 showed that the sequences had high homology with that of other spiders. The mRNA expression of all three genes was extremely significantly up-regulated at 43 ◦ C. Moreover at 43 ◦ C, the expression of all three genes in both female and male spiders at the duration of 4 h was the highest compared to that of other stress duration groups. Therefore, it can be inferred that the three genes of P. pseudoannulata play a crucial protective role in resistance in a high-temperature environment.

      • Construction of a Protein-Protein Interaction Network for Chronic Myelocytic Leukemia and Pathway Prediction of Molecular Complexes

        Zhou, Chao,Teng, Wen-Jing,Yang, Jing,Hu, Zhen-Bo,Wang, Cong-Cong,Qin, Bao-Ning,Lv, Qing-Liang,Liu, Ze-Wang,Sun, Chang-Gang Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.13

Background: Chronic myelocytic leukemia is a disease that threatens both adults and children. Great progress has been achieved in treatment but protein-protein interaction networks underlining chronic myelocytic leukemia are less known. Objective: To develop a protein-protein interaction network for chronic myelocytic leukemia based on gene expression and to predict biological pathways underlying molecular complexes in the network. Materials and Methods: Genes involved in chronic myelocytic leukemia were selected from OMIM database. Literature mining was performed by Agilent Literature Search plugin and a protein-protein interaction network of chronic myelocytic leukemia was established by Cytoscape. The molecular complexes in the network were detected by Clusterviz plugin and pathway enrichment of molecular complexes were performed by DAVID online. Results and Discussion: There are seventy-nine chronic myelocytic leukemia genes in the Mendelian Inheritance In Man Database. The protein-protein interaction network of chronic myelocytic leukemia contained 638 nodes, 1830 edges and perhaps 5 molecular complexes. Among them, complex 1 is involved in pathways that are related to cytokine secretion, cytokine-receptor binding, cytokine receptor signaling, while complex 3 is related to biological behavior of tumors which can provide the bioinformatic foundation for further understanding the mechanisms of chronic myelocytic leukemia.

Plasma metabolites associated with physiological and biochemical indexes indicate the effect of caging stress on mallard ducks (Anas platyrhynchos)

        Zheng Chao,Wu Yan,Liang Zhen Hua,Pi Jin Song,Cheng Shi Bin,Wei Wen Zhuo,Liu Jing Bo,Lu Li Zhi,Zhang Hao 아세아·태평양축산학회 2022 Animal Bioscience Vol.35 No.2

Objective: Cage rearing has critical implications for the laying duck industry because it is convenient for feeding and management. However, caging stress is a type of chronic stress that induces maladaptation. Environmental stress responses have been extensively studied, but no detailed information is available about the comprehensive changes in plasma metabolites at different stages of caging stress in ducks. We designed this experiment to analyze the effects of caging stress on performance parameters and oxidative stress indexes in ducks. Methods: Liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS-MS) was used to determine the changes in metabolites in duck plasma at 5 (CR5), 10 (CR10), and 15 (CR15) days after cage rearing and traditional breeding (TB). The associated pathways of differentially altered metabolites were analyzed using Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes (KEGG) database. Results: The results of this study indicate that caging stress decreased performance parameters, and the plasma total superoxide dismutase levels were increased in the CR10 group compared with the other groups. In addition, 1,431 metabolites were detected. Compared with the TB group, 134, 381, and 190 differentially produced metabolites were identified in the CR5, CR10, and CR15 groups, respectively. The results of principal component analysis (PCA) show that the selected components sufficiently distinguish the TB group and CR10 group. KEGG analysis results revealed that the differentially altered metabolites in duck plasma from the CR5 and TB groups were mainly associated with ovarian steroidogenesis, biosynthesis of unsaturated fatty acids, and phenylalanine metabolism. Conclusion: In this study, the production performance, blood indexes, number of metabolites and PCA were compared to determine effect of the caging stress stage on ducks. We inferred from the experimental results that caging-stressed ducks were in the sensitive phase in the first 5 days after caging, caging for approximately 10 days was an important transition phase, and then the duck continually adapted. Voltage balance strategy for DC‑port failures of three‑phase cascaded H‑bridge rectifiers based on negative sequence current injection

        Xiaohan Liu,Xiao Liang,Kaiyue Gong,Siqi An,Xu Peng,Jun Cai,Xinyu Zhu,Chao Zhou 전력전자학회 2022 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.22 No.8

The three-phase cascaded H-bridge rectifier (CHBR) is widely used in high power and high voltage applications. This paper focuses on the load removed from the DC port of a three-phase CHBR, which can cause single-phase DC-port voltage unbalance issues and three-phases DC-port voltage unbalance issues. This paper proposes a voltage balance control strategy based on negative sequence current injection for three-phase CHBR to deal with the unbalance problem. An individual DC-port voltage control strategy is designed to balance the DC-port voltage in the faulty phase. In addition, a negative sequence current injection control strategy is responsible for balancing the DC-port voltages in the three phase CHBR. The effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed voltage control strategy based on negative sequence current injection is verified by the experimental results.
