        CNN 기반 한국 번호판 인식

        Tang Quang Hieu,연승호(Seungho Yeon),김재민(Jaemin Kim) 한국전기전자학회 2019 전기전자학회논문지 Vol.23 No.4

The Automatic Korean license plate recognition (AKLPR) is used in many fields. For many applications, high recognition rate and fast processing speed of ALPR are important. Recent advances in deep learning have improved the accuracy and speed of object detection and recognition, and CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) has been applied to ALPR. The ALPR is divided into the stage of detecting the LP region and the stage of detecting and recognizing the character in the LP region, and each step is implemented with separate CNN. In this paper, we propose a single stage CNN architecture to recognize license plate characters at high speed while keeping high recognition rate.

The complete mitochondrial genome of fall armyworm Spodoptera frugiperda (Lepidoptera:Noctuidae)

        Bo-Ping Tang,Qiu-Ning Liu,Xin-Yue Chai,Dan-Dan Bian,Bao-Ming Ge,Chun-Lin Zhou 한국유전학회 2016 Genes & Genomics Vol.38 No.2

The mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) can provide important information for understanding molecular evolution and phylogenetic analyses. The complete mitogenome of Spodoptera frugiperda (Lepidoptera:Noctuidae) was determined to be 15,365 bp in length and has the typical gene order found in Noctuidae mitogenomes, it includes 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), two rRNA genes, 22 tRNA genes and a A?T-rich region. The nucleotide composition was biased toward A?T nucleotides (81.09 %) and the AT skew of this mitogenome was slightly positive (0.004). All PCGs were initiated by ATN codons, except for cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (cox1) gene which was initiated by CGA. Eight of the 13 PCGs have the incomplete termination codon, T or TA. All the tRNA genes displayed the typical clover-leaf structure of mitochondrial tRNAs, with the exception of trnS1 (AGN). The A?T-rich region was 328 bp in length and consisted of several features common to the Noctuidae insects. Phylogenetic analysis showed that the S. frugiperda was within the Noctuidae.

Resonant Frequency Estimation of Reradiation Interference at MF from Power Transmission Lines Based on Generalized Resonance Theory

Bo, Tang,Bin, Chen,Zhibin, Zhao,Zheng, Xiao,Shuang, Wang The Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers 2015 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.10 No.3

The resonant mechanism of reradiation interference (RRI) over 1.7MHz from power transmission lines cannot be obtained from IEEE standards, which are based on researches of field intensity. Hence, the resonance is ignored in National Standards of protecting distance between UHV power lines and radio stations in China, which would result in an excessive redundancy of protecting distance. Therefore, based on the generalized resonance theory, we proposed the idea of applying model-based parameter estimation (MBPE) to estimate the generalized resonance frequency of electrically large scattering objects. We also deduced equation expressions of the generalized resonance frequency and its quality factor Q in a lossy open electromagnetic system, i.e. an antenna-transmission line system in this paper. Taking the frequency band studied by IEEE and the frequency band over 1.7 MHz as object, we established three models of the RRI from transmission lines, namely the simplified line model, the tower line model considering cross arms and the line-surface mixed model. With the models, we calculated the scattering field of sampling points with equal intervals using method of moments, and then inferred expressions of Padé rational function. After calculating the zero-pole points of the Padé rational function, we eventually got the estimation of the RRI’s generalized resonant frequency. Our case studies indicate that the proposed estimation method is effective for predicting the generalized resonant frequency of RRI in medium frequency (MF, 0.3~3 MHz) band over 1.7 MHz, which expands the frequency band studied by IEEE.

Study on the Drive Parameters of a High-precision Basis Weight Control Valve

        Bo Wang, Wei Tang,Jixian Dong,Feng Wang 한국펄프·종이공학회 2017 펄프.종이技術 Vol.49 No.3

Decreasing precision or mechanical damage may occur in basis weight valves because of excess design torque valves. Stepping motor driver current values are set at the rated motor current or are based on practical experience. Applied technological research on current setting values was conducted in this paper. A current-setting experimental device was developed to solve this problem. The drive parameters include the drive current value, mechanical strength of valve actuator and the state holding current value were tested. Finally, the acceleration time for the trapezoidal velocity curve was calculated, which was helpful to improve the positioning precision of the valve. The test result with a sample diameter of a DN125 basis weight valve showed that the reasonable current value stage was 3.71 A, and the state holding current value stage was 50%. Then, the acceleration and deceleration times of the trapezoidal velocity curve were both set at 0.01 seconds. The positioning precision was able to match the requirements of a basis weight control valve for 10,000 steps in which an error of 1 step was less than 5.0% during 10,000 positioning steps under such drive parameters.

      • Multiband and Broadband Absorption Enhancement of Monolayer Graphene at Optical Frequencies from Multiple Magnetic Dipole Resonances in Metamaterials

        Liu, Bo,Tang, Chaojun,Chen, Jing,Xie, Ningyan,Tang, Huang,Zhu, Xiaoqin,Park, Gun-sik Springer US 2018 NANOSCALE RESEARCH LETTERS Vol.13 No.1

<P>It is well known that a suspended monolayer graphene has a weak light absorption efficiency of about 2.3% at normal incidence, which is disadvantageous to some applications in optoelectronic devices. In this work, we will numerically study multiband and broadband absorption enhancement of monolayer graphene over the whole visible spectrum, due to multiple magnetic dipole resonances in metamaterials. The unit cell of the metamaterials is composed of a graphene monolayer sandwiched between four Ag nanodisks with different diameters and a SiO2 spacer on an Ag substrate. The near-field plasmon hybridizations between individual Ag nanodisks and the Ag substrate form four independent magnetic dipole modes, which result into multiband absorption enhancement of monolayer graphene at optical frequencies. When the resonance wavelengths of the magnetic dipole modes are tuned to approach one another by changing the diameters of the Ag nanodisks, a broadband absorption enhancement can be achieved. The position of the absorption band in monolayer graphene can be also controlled by varying the thickness of the SiO2 spacer or the distance between the Ag nanodisks. Our designed graphene light absorber may find some potential applications in optoelectronic devices, such as photodetectors.</P>

Wide-Awake Primary Flexor Tendon Repair, Tenolysis, and Tendon Transfer

Jin Bo Tang 대한정형외과학회 2015 Clinics in Orthopedic Surgery Vol.7 No.3

Tendon surgery is unique because it should ensure tendon gliding after surgery. Tendon surgery now can be performed under local anesthesia without tourniquet, by injecting epinephrine mixed with lidocaine, to achieve vasoconstriction in the area of surgery. This method allows the tendon to move actively during surgery to test tendon function intraoperatively and to ensure the tendon is properly repaired before leaving the operating table. I applied this method to primary flexor tendon repair in zone 1 or 2, tenolysis, and tendon transfer, and found this approach makes tendon surgery easier and more reliable. This article describes the method that I have used for tendon surgery.
