6-Alkylsalicylic Acid Analogues Inhibit In Vitro ATPase Activity of Heat Shock Protein 90
Cheng-Zhu Wu,An Na Moon,Oksik Choi,Sun-Young Kang,Jung Joon Lee,황방연,김영호,Hong-Sub Lee,홍영수,이동호 대한약학회 2010 Archives of Pharmacal Research Vol.33 No.12
The molecular chaperone heat shock protein 90 (Hsp90) is responsible for maintaining the correct folding and stability of many signaling proteins. It is a promising target of cancer therapeutics and several other diseases, including neurodegenerative disease, nerve injuries, inflammation, and infection. In an effort to identify new Hsp90 inhibitors from natural sources using an in vitro ATPase inhibition assay, two 6-alkylsalicylic acid analogues, salaceyin A and B were identified from the culture extract of Streptomyces. Salaceyin A and B exhibited moderate ATPase inhibitory activities with IC50 values of 68.3 and 65.2 μM, respectively. Binding of salaceyins to human Hsp90α was examined by competition binding experiments with ATPSepharose beads. However, the compounds exhibited no degradation activity of Hsp90 client proteins, Her2, c-Raf, or Akt.
Optimal design of a parallel bionic eye mechanism
Yuanhao Cheng,Sun’an Wang,Dehong Yu 대한기계학회 2019 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.33 No.2
To obtain a large viewing angle and fast, smooth tracking of the target for a robot in an unknown environment, the vertebrate extraocular muscles are imitated in this paper, the configuration with a large field of view and high motion precision is studied, and then, a smallsized "inverted-tricept" parallel bionic eye mechanism is designed. For the "inverted-tricept" mechanism, the large inclination will make the mechanism more "slender", whereas the high precision requires the mechanism to be "stout". Thus, there is a contradiction between these two indexes. To ensure a large field of view and high eye movement accuracy simultaneously, the non-dominated sorting-based genetic algorithm-II (NSGA-II) is adopted under the constraints of the overall dimensions, driver stroke and hinge deflection to optimize the moving platform inclination and kinematic performance. Thus, the structural parameters are obtained. According to the optimization results, the dynamic simulation analysis of the system is conducted, and the rationality of the structural parameters is verified. In addition, the experimental prototype is built accordingly. It is shown from the actual measurement results that the designed parallel bionic eye has a distortion-free field of view of up to 200.95° and an eye movement accuracy of 0.01°, which lay a foundation for the wide range search and high-precision ranging of the subsequent binocular stereo vision system.
Review on Silkworm (Bombyx mori)Sex Control in China
An-Ying Xu,Mu-Wang Li,Ping-Jiang Sun,Yue-Hua Zhang,Cheng-Xiang Hou 한국잠사학회 2004 International Journal of Industrial Entomology Vol.8 No.2
Normally, silkworms, Bombyx mori, generate offspring by sexual activity. As we known, the hybrids of the first generation of the silkworm have higher cocoon production than pure lines. During the sericulture production, many processes are related with sex control. For example, sex sorting in the egg grainages, rearing of only male silkworm to save the mulberry leaf consumption and increase silk output and quality. Therefore it is very interested in understanding the sex control of the silkworm in theory and practice. Chinese sericultural scientists have been being engaged in the researches in the fields of artificifial parthogenesis, dispermic androgenesis, sex-limited varieties, sex linkage balanced lethal strain and high temperature sensitive male stocks for several decades and gained substantial achievement. Some of the achievements have been used in the commercial production. In this review, the authors introduced that the methods for control of the silkworm sex, and regulate the silkworm sex ratio according to different producing aim in the world and especially in China.

A new p-type polymer, poly(3,3'''''-didodecyl sexythiophene) (PST), was synthesized via <TEX>$FeCl_3$</TEX> oxidative coupling reaction. The mole ratio of <TEX>$FeCl_3$</TEX> and monomer (4:1), and keeping room temperature for polymerization were very important to obtain soluble polymer with regulated molecular weight. The photoluminescence (PL) maxima of the polymer are found at 500 and 562 nm for the solution and at 656 nm for the film. The low density of side chains enables substantial torsional deviations of the thienylene units, thereby inducing a relatively low highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) level (~ -5.22 eV). X-Ray diffraction analysis showed that PST forms a highly interdigitated structure due to the low density of side chains. PST were introduced as the active layers of organic thin-film transistors, and the resulting device showed field-effect mobilities of <TEX>$0.12cm^2/Vs$</TEX> (on/off <TEX>$ratio=1.7{\times}10^5$</TEX>) in air. The intrinsic mobility of PST measured by using the time of flight technique also supports a high conductance of <TEX>$4{\times}10^{-4}cm^2/Vs$</TEX>.
