        DISTINGUISHING NUMBER AND DISTINGUISHING INDEX OF STRONG PRODUCT OF TWO GRAPHS

        The distinguishing number (index) D(G) (D’(G)) of a graph G is the least integer d such that G has an vertex label- ing (edge labeling) with d labels that is preserved only by a triv- ial automorphism. The strong product G □ H of two graphs G and H is the graph with vertex set V (G) × V (H) and edge set {{(x<sub>1</sub>, x<sub>2</sub>); (y<sub>1</sub>, y<sub>2</sub>)}|x<sub>i</sub>y<sub>i</sub> ∈ E(G<sub>i</sub>) or x<sub>i</sub> = y<sub>i</sub> for each 1 ≤ i ≤ 2:}. In this paper we study the distinguishing number and the distin- guishing index of strong product of two graphs. We prove that for every k ≥ 2, the k-th strong power of a connected S-thin graph G has distinguishing index equal two.

        Impact of brand personality traits on customer’s brand commitment (case study: NIVEA hygienic products)

        Present research studies the impact of brand personality traits on customer commitment to the Brand as one of customer behaviour indicators by measuring variables like sincerity, excitement, sophistication, peacefulness, and competence. Tehran hygienic products customers of NIVEA (at least 1–3 years consumption) is the statistical population of this research and due to the unspecific volume of the statistical population the sampling was determined by Cochran Formula (n-384). In this vein, the random cluster sampling method has been used and research data has been collected with designed standard and structured questionnaire. To accomplish this; a conceptual framework is developed and evaluated as follow: For data analysis on inferential level structural equation modelling has been used. The type of research is practical, data type is quantitative, data collection type is descriptive and in terms of determining the relationship between variables is correlation. The result demonstrates a significant relationship between brand personality and Brand commitment, due to the direct positive relationship among sincerity, excitement, sophistication, peacefulness, Competence variables and Brand commitment.

        Novel Average Value Model for Faulty Three-Phase Diode Rectifier Bridges

        Rectifiers are widely used in industrial applications. Although detailed models of rectifiers are usually used to evaluate their performance, they are complex and time-consuming. Therefore, the Average Value Model (AVM) has been introduced to meet the demand for a simple and accurate model. This type of rectifier modeling can be used to simplify the simulations of large systems. The AVM of diode rectifiers has been an area of interest for many electrical engineers. However, healthy diode rectifiers are only considered for average value modeling. By contrast, faults occur frequently on diodes, which eventually cause the diodes to open-circuit. Therefore, it is essential to model bridge rectifiers under this faulty condition. Indeed, conventional AVMs are not appropriate or accurate for faulty rectifiers. In addition, they are significantly different in modeling. In this paper, a novel application of the parametric average value of a three-phase line-commutated rectifier is proposed in which one diode of the rectifier is considered open-circuited. In order to evaluate the proposed AVM, it is compared with experimental and simulation results for the application of a brushless synchronous generator field. The results clearly demonstrate the accuracy of the proposed model.

        Attachment Style and Resiliency in Patients with Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder

        Background: The goal of the present study was to determine the relationships between attachment styles and resil-iency in obsessive-compulsive personality disorder.Methods: A random sample of 260 subjects was obtained from the population of undergraduate students of the Nour Branch of Islamic Azad University, which is located in Mazandaran, and these subjects were enrolled in this descriptive and correlational study. The collected data included the subjects’ responses to an adult attachment style questionnaire, resilience scale, and obsessive-compulsive personality disorder questionnaire. The data were analyzed with Pearson correlation coefficient indices and multiple regressions.Results: The results of the data analysis showed a positive correlation (relationship) between ambivalent/avoidant attachment styles and obsessive-compulsive personality disorder and a negative correlation between resilience and obsessive-compulsive personality disorder. Furthermore, these results demonstrated that attachment style and resiliency can predict obsessive-compulsive personality disorder. In addition, no significant relationships were found between the demographic variables (convertibles) and obsessive-compulsive personality disorder.Conclusion: These results suggested that attachment style and resiliency contribute to the development of obses-sive-compulsive personality disorder.

        The Effects of PMBOK Knowledge Areas on the Phases of ERP Implementation

        The main current issue in Iran is the lack of standard mechanism in order to implement a successful ERP projects based on the project management’s standards. In this paper, in addition to the views of the customer team (client), the views of the executing team (implementer) and the views of project management specialists were also considered. Expansion of the community created a better position for analysis. The Necessity/Implementation matrix is presented and the critical knowledge aspects are defined through the theoretical studies within this field and an analytical evaluation of standard inputs and outputs in PMBOK. Furthermore, the matrix is implemented by an evaluation of the importance of knowledge management during the variance phases within the implementation. The additional factor is the employer’s view on the extend of how the knowledge is translated into practical and systematical solutions. Comparing methodology of two ERP projects as case study, and PMBOK knowledge areas as standard of project management, shows the critical knowledge areas based on the opinion of team of experts, the implementer team and the employers. Subsequently, the reasons for the criticality of each area of knowledge are analyzed.

        Effect of production level and source of fat supplement on performance, nutrient digestibility and blood parameters of heat-stressed Holstein cows

        The interactive effect of dietary fat supplementation and milk yield level on dairy cows performance under heat stress has not been thoroughly investigated. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of production level, the source of fat supplements and their interaction on dairy cows performance under heat stress. In this study, 64 Holstein multiparous cows were divided into 2 groups and received one of two rations having either calcium salts of fatty acids (Ca-FA) or high-palmitic acid (PA) supplements (2.8% of DM; dry matter). After completing the experiment and based on maturity-equivalent milk, cows were divided into two groups of high-yielding (14,633 kg) and medium-yielding (11,616 kg). Average temperature humidity index (THI) was 71 during the trial period. Apparent digestibility of dry matter (p = 0.04), organic matter (p = 0.05), and neutral detergent fiber (NDF; p = 0.04) for cows fed Ca-FA were greater than cows fed PA. The milk fat content in high-producing cows was 0.3% greater than medium-producing cows (p = 0.03). The milk protein content in cows fed Ca-FA was greater than cows fed PA (p < 0.01). High-producing cows had greater serum cholesterol (p = 0.02) than medium-producing cows. The cows fed PA tended to have a greater BUN than cows fed Ca-FA (p = 0.06). Alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase tended to be increased by PA, which indicates that cows in PA treatment may have experienced more adverse effect on the liver function than cows on Ca-FA. Therefore, under heat stress and in 90 d trial, milk production level does not affect the cows’ response to PA or Ca-FA. Although cows fed Ca-FA received lower energy than those fed PA, they compensated for this shortage likely with increasing the digestibility and produced a similar amount of milk.

        Antibacterial properties of composite resins incorporating silver and zinc oxide nanoparticles on Streptococcus mutans and Lactobacillus

        Objectives: Recurrent caries was partly ascribed to lack of antibacterial properties in composite resin. Silver and zinc nanoparticles are considered to be broad-spectrum antibacterial agents. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the antibacterial properties of composite resins containing 1% silver and zinc-oxide nanoparticles on Streptococcus mutans and Lactobacillus. Materials and Methods: Ninety discoid tablets containing 0%, 1% nano-silver and 1% nano zinc-oxide particles were prepared from flowable composite resin (n = 30). The antibacterial properties of composite resin discs were evaluated by direct contact test. Diluted solutions of Streptococcus mutans (PTCC 1683) and Lactobacillus (PTCC 1643) were prepared. 0.01 mL of each bacterial species was separately placed on the discs. The discs were transferred to liquid culture media and were incubated at $37^{\circ}C$ for 8 hr. 0.01 mL of each solution was cultured on blood agar and the colonies were counted. Data was analyzed with Kruskall-Wallis and Mann-Whitney U tests. Results: Composites containing nano zinc-oxide particles or silver nanoparticles exhibited higher antibacterial activity against Streptococcus mutans and Lactobacillus compared to the control group (p < 0.05). The effect of zinc-oxide on Streptococcus mutans was significantly higher than that of silver (p < 0.05). There were no significant differences in the antibacterial activity against Lactobacillus between composites containing silver nanoparticles and those containing zinc-oxide nanoparticles. Conclusions: Composite resins containing silver or zinc-oxide nanoparticles exhibited antibacterial activity against Streptococcus mutans and Lactobacillus.
