명사 일어문(一語文)에 있어서 [ 의문/평서 ] 의 지각적 수신호

본 논문은 일본어 문장에 있어서의 의문(疑問)과 평서(平敍)의 구별이 문말음조(文末音調)와 어떻게 관련되어 있는지를 지각실험(知覺實驗)을 통하여 조사한 것이다. 지각실험(知覺實驗)에서는 문두(文頭)의 주파수의 높이, 문말 승강부분(文末昇降部分)의 상승률, 그 지속 시간을 파라메타(媒介變數)로 해서 명사일어문(名詞一語文)의 합성음성(合成音聲)을 작성하여 테스트를 실시하였다. 그 결과 2개의 꺾임선으로 이루어진 「지각경계선(知覺境界線)」의 그래프가 얻어졌다. 그래프에 의하면 상승부분의 지속 시간이 0.357∼0.653sec의 동안에는 의문으로 지각되기 위한 꺾임선의 상승률은 일정하고, 그 보다 지속 시간이 짧은 0.1∼0.357sec인 동안에는 지속 시간이 짧을 수록 지각을 위한 보다 높은 꺾임선의 상승률을 필요로 한다는 사실을 알아냈다. 또, 종방향(縱方向)으로 꺾임선이 이동하는 것에 의해 2개의 꺾임선이 얻어졌다고 하는 사실은 부분 강세가 크면 클 수록 작은 상승률로서 의문으로 자각된다는 것을 나타내는 것이다.
Reliability Improvement of Titania Ceramics with Surface Flaw Through High Voltage Screening

Effect of high voltage screening was examined on mechanical strength of titania ceramics with two different surface roughness. Roughly finished sample showed degraded mechanical strength meaning that the introduced flaw played the role of starting point of mechanical fracture. On such sample, electrically weak parts were eliminated by applying a screening field. Mechanical strength measurement on survived parts revealed that after screening the Weibull plots bended to become a convex curve while plots at high strength region were almost the same. This result means that relatively low mechanical strength parts were eliminated by the electrical method. As a result the Weibull modulus calculated from all the data increased, demonstrating the effect of high voltage screening on titania ceramics containing fracture controlling surface flaws. Roles of the surface flaw such as a common weak spot for both failures are disscussed in relation to the electric field concentration similar to that of mechanical stress.
Foxf2 represses bone formation via Wnt2b/β-catenin signaling

Differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) into osteoblasts is a critical process for proper skeletal development and acquisition/maintenance of bone mass. However, since this regulatory mechanism has not yet been fully elucidated, the treatment of severe osteoporosis and fractures is a challenge. Here, through a comprehensive analysis of gene expression during the differentiation of MSCs into osteoblasts, we show that the forkhead transcription factor Foxf2 is a crucial regulator of this process. Foxf2 expression transiently increased during MSC osteoblastic differentiation. Overexpression of Foxf2 in MSCs inhibited osteoblastic differentiation, and conversely, knockdown of Foxf2 expression promoted this process. Osteoprogenitor-specific Foxf2 knockout mice developed a high bone mass phenotype due to increased bone formation. RNA-seq analysis and molecular experiments revealed that Foxf2 regulation of bone formation is mediated by Wnt2b. Knockdown of Foxf2 in mouse femurs enhanced bone regeneration in vivo. FOXF2 expression was correlated with hip bone mineral density in postmenopausal women with low bone mass. Finally, inhibition of FOXF2 promoted osteoblastic differentiation of human MSCs. This study uncovers a critical role of Foxf2 in the differentiation of MSCs into osteoblasts and provides insight into the pathogenesis associated with bone-related diseases such as osteoporosis and nonunion after fracture

This paper deals with a PID control problem with constraints on sensitivity and complementary sensitivity functions, and proposes a PID controller tuning method based on the Covariance Matrix Adaptation Evolution Strategy(CMA-ES). Since the original CMA-ES is developed for an optimization problem without constraints, the PID control problem is transformed into an optimization problem without constraints by using apenalty method. Numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
Inference of Plastic Deformation in Weldment with Parallel Cracks from Infrared Thermography

Tensile tests are carried out by using the welded plate with two parallel cracks. The effects of the residual stress, the hardened zone by welding and the interaction between cracks on the plastic deformation near cracks and the crack opening displacement are examined by the experiment as well as the elasto plastic finite element analysis. A new technique for evaluating nondestructively the plastic deformation near cracks by using the infrared thermography is proposed. The heated region and the temperature rise measured by the thermography are compared with the plastic zone and the work of plastic deformation obtained by the analysis. The validity and the limitations of the application of the infrared thermography to the evaluation of the plastic deformation are discussed.
