Correlation between Meyer–Neldel rule and phase separation in Se98xZn2Inx chalcogenide glasses
Abhay Kumar Singh,Neeraj Mehta,Kedar Singh 한국물리학회 2009 Current Applied Physics Vol.9 No.4
The present work reports the observation of Meyer–Neldel rule for the thermally activated crystallization of glassy Se98-xZn2Inx (0 ≼ x ≼ 10) alloys. We have observed a strong co-relation between the pre-exponential factor K0 of rate constant K(T) of crystallization and activation energy of crystallization Ec in the present case. This indicates the presence of compensation effect for the non-isothermal crystallization process in the present glassy system, which is explained in terms of phase separation of the present alloys due to flaw bonds of these amorphous solids. Design of IIR Filters with Definite Group Delay (Lowpass Equalization) using LabVIEW
Abhay kumar singh,Lalit singh garia 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.9 No.7
Digital filters with lined phase responses that is constant group delay responses are desirable in many uses for signal treating. In this paper, a new method is proposed for scheming maximally smooth IIR filters with constant group delay in the pass band. This paper presents a concept of IIR filters with equalized group delay response. The group delay has been equalized by all pass filter. In this IIR filter design some constant group delay has been introduce and effect of group delay on phase is studied. At some extent of frequency group delay of compensated filter is linear so that phase of the IIR filter is linear at particular range of frequency. This paper looks at a compromise in which the IIR filter is followed by a allpass filter, which adaptively tries to linearize the overall phase response but leaves the magnitude response unchanged.
Effect of Microbial Biopolymers on Mechanical Properties of Bauxite Residue
Niteesh Singh Bonal,Arun Prasad,Abhay Kumar Verma 대한토목학회 2021 KSCE JOURNAL OF CIVIL ENGINEERING Vol.25 No.7
Natural polymer (biopolymer) treatment of engineered soil/waste is recognized as an environmentally-friendly sustainable method. This paper presents the findings in the improvement of strength characteristics of bauxite residue (red mud tailing) using two microbial biopolymers, xanthan (XG) and guar gum (GG), used individually and also together as a composite. A set of laboratory tests namely compaction test, sieve and hydrometer analysis, Atterberg limits, unconsolidated undrained triaxial (UU) test, unconfined compression (qu) test, chemical analysis, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) have been performed on biopolymer stabilized specimens at varying biopolymer concentration and curing period. The results showed that qu increases polynomially with the increase in biopolymer content (P) and curing period (t). Also, when compared with the conventional method, qu at 0.5% XG was similar to 10% cement stabilized bauxite residue at 28 days curing period. The influence of a composite biopolymer on the strengthening behaviour of bauxite residue is also observed due to the additional ability to create a cross-linking network. XRD and SEM micrographs have also confirmed that bauxite residue particles are linked through the biopolymer, resulting in improved shear resistance. Finally, considering environmental perspectives, the economic feasibility of biopolymer treatment is also examined in comparison to cement and found that the biopolymer usage is an excellent substitute to the conventional engineered materials (cement) for soil/waste treatment.

Measurement of eective thermal conductivity (ke) and eective thermal diusivity (ve) of twin pellets of Se90In10 bulk chalcogenideglass has been carried out in the temperature range from 303 to 323 K and cooling from 323 to 303 K using transient plane source (TPS)technique. In the heating process variation of eective thermal conductivity (ke) and eective thermal diusivity (ve) is observed. Bothquantities are found to be maximum at 313 K, which lies in the vicinity of glass transition temperature (Tg). During the cooling processkeand ve remain same at all temperatures. Such type of behavior shows thermal hysteresis in this sample, which can be explained on thebasis of structural change of the Se90In10 bulk chalcogenide glass.

Anil Kumar,Jagdish Rawat,Parul Mrigpuri,Dev Singh Jangpangi,Abhay Pratap Singh,Ritisha Bhatt 대한결핵및호흡기학회 2024 Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases Vol.87 No.2
Background: In recent years, medical thoracoscopy has been well established to playan important role in undiagnosed pleural effusion; however, this procedure is underutilizeddue to limited availability of the instruments it requires. This study analysed the outcomeof single port rigid thoracoscopy in patients with undiagnosed pleural effusions. Methods: This study retrospectively analysed the outcomes of all patients with undiagnosedpleural effusion presenting to our centre between 2016 to 2020 who underwentsingle port rigid medical thoracoscopy as a diagnostic procedure. Results: In total, 92 patients underwent single port rigid medical thoracoscopy. Themost common presenting symptom was shortness of breath. A majority of the patientshad lymphocytic exudative pleural effusion. The average biopsy sample size was 18mm, and no major complication was reported in any of the patients. Conclusion: Single port rigid thoracoscopy is a safe and well-tolerated procedure thatyields a biopsy of a larger size with high diagnostic yield. Moreover, the low cost of theinstruments required by this procedure makes it particularly suited for use in developingcountries.
Image-Guided Nanoparticle-Based siRNA Delivery for Cancer Therapy.
Tekade, Rakesh Kumar,Maheshwari, Rahul G S,Sharma, Piyoosh A,Tekade, Muktika,Chauhan, Abhay Singh Bentham Science Publishers 2015 CURRENT PHARMACEUTICAL DESIGN Vol.21 No.31

With the discovery of RNA interference technology, small-interfering RNA (siRNA) has emerged as new powerful tool for gene therapy because of its high targeting specificity and selectivity. However, one of the limitations to successful gene therapy is the inability to monitor delivery of genes and therapeutic responses at the targeted site. Hence, a combinatorial approach of gene therapy with molecular imaging has been crucial in optimizing gene therapy. Recent advances in nanotechnology have made tremendous efforts to develop multifunctional nanoparticles that contain imaging and therapeutic agents together for image-guided therapy. The nanoparticles serve as contrast agents in imaging for disease detection with simultaneous delivery of therapeutics to cure the diseases. The therapy also helps to monitor the drug accumulation and assimilation in the body, thereby facilitating the evaluation of treatment effects. Here, we present an overview of polymer and lipid-based carriers for siRNA delivery, along with imaging agents as imageguided therapy, in the treatment of breast, lung, liver, ovarian, cervical, and prostate cancers.
