일반논문 : 역사기록과의 비교를 통해 살펴본 『고려보감(高麗寶鑑)』의 지향

The purpose of this dissertation is to study features of 『Goryeo-Bogam高麗寶鑑』, which is a Korean classical rental library manuscript. The story of 『Goryeo-Bogam』is about Wang-geon王建, king of Korea高麗 Dynasty. This novel is remaked as a printed book in the early 20th century. 『Goryeo-Bogam』is a work which deals with history as subject matter, therefore there are real people and real events. However, as a whole including character and plot, the main thing of this stroy is faction. In 『Goryeo-Bogam 』, not only a protagonist but also many supporting roles takes active parts. In addition, there are many war stories which is not soldier``s battles but general``s ones. These two features are derived from 『Romance of the Three Kingdom三國志演義』, a Chinese masterpiece. In terms of narrative sturucture, 『Goryeo-Bogam』 is also influenced by Korean war story novels. Such peculiarities are not the uniqueness of 『Goryeo-Bogam 』. At that time, there are some novels which are similar to 『Goryeo-Bogam』, and such a trend becames a category of novel. 『Goryeo-Bogam』 could not satisfy both those who loved a war stoy novel and others who loved. There are only one different version of 『Goryeo-Bogam』exsting, which proves it.

『효녀 심청전』을 통해 살펴본 초창기 무성영화의 시나리오에 관한 연구

Hyoneo Simchongjeon(孝女沈淸傳) is an old printed scenario published by Park Seung Pil who was the owner of Dansungsa theater in 1925. At the time, Dansungsa gave up screening of Hyoneo Simchongjeon since Yoon Baek Nam Production produced the film of Simchongjeon earlier and only the scenario left today. So far, the silent movies at the initial stage derived from classical novels have been discussed in the advanced research that they are shot underlying old printed novels without any scenarios. However, this is an error caused by mistranslating the testimony of elder movie people in the early silent film days. On the basis of this error, Hyoneo Simchongjeon has not acquired proper evaluation. This work has originated in the old printed novel Gang Sang Ryeon(江上蓮), this can be proved by contrasting several picture element. Nevertheless, it is not true that Hyoneo Simchongjeon fully copied Gang Sang Ryeon. It omitted some episodes of original if needed, and changed the order of arrangement of each pixel. This adapting sense eventually sought more ‘cinematic story.’ The form of Hyoneo Simchongjeon was influenced by that of scenarios of Japanese silent films, but it has ‘auxiliary subtitles,’ which is its own distinctive feature against Japanese Scenarios in the certain circumstance where the author of this work was a silent-film narrator and an actor at the same time. The revaluation of 『Hyoneo Simchongjeon should be conducted as a material that presents the reasons of the public culture and film history in the 1920s. A series of films originated from old novels have to be a standard point so as to correct the film history of Joseon that has distorted in many ways.

일반논문 : 영화 <장화홍련전>(1924년 작) 연구 -원작 고소설과의 연관을 중심으로-

영화 <장화홍련전>은 조선에서 만들어진 두 번째 상업영화로, 단성사에서 1924년에 제작되었다. 무성영화 초창기에 만들어진 고소설 원작 영화는 지금까지 큰 주목을 받지 못했는데, 이에 더해 <장화홍련전>은 앞서 만들어진 <춘향전>에 가려 풍부한 논의가 제출되지 못하였다. 본 논문은 영화 <장화홍련전>의 관련 기록을 재검토하고, 원작 고소설을 수용하는 양상을 중심으로 작품을 재검토하였다. 이 작품은 영화를 어떻게 포장할 것인가에 대한 기획이 치밀하게 이루어졌다는 것에 의미가 있다. <장화홍련전>은 조선인 촬영감독을 포함한 모든 제작진들을 조선인으로 구성하였고, 또한 이러한 사실 자체를 적극적으로 홍보하고 이를 통해 ``순조선영화``라는 정체성을 구축해나가는 전략으로 <춘향전>에 대응하였다. 그 결과 <춘향전>의 흥행까지 견인하면서 많은 관객을 동원하였음을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 원작 고소설을 어떻게 활용할 것인가에 대한 방법론적인 측면에서도 <춘향전>과는 차이가 있다. <춘향전>이 별다른 고민 없이 원작 고소설을 충실히 재현하고자 했던 작품이라면, <장화홍련전>은 원서사에서 무엇을 수용하고 배제할 것인가에 대한 명확한 기획 아래 만들어진 작품이었다는 점에서도 진일보한 작품이다. 고소설 <장화홍련전>이 두 자매의 억울한 죽음 후에 계모가 벌을 받고 이후에 장화·홍련이 환생하는 내용으로 이루어졌다면, 영화는 보다 현대적인 서사로 변모하기 위하여 환생 이후의 에피소드를 생략하면서 철저한 비극으로 개작되었던 것으로 보인다. The movie The Story of Janghwa and Hongnyeon (薔花紅蓮傳) was a silent film that was produced in 1924 by Dansung Film Corporation; it was overshadowed by another film The Story of Chunhyang (春香傳) in term of box-office hit and did not receive much attention. The Story of Chunhyang was the first Korean film and the popularity of the original novel was too enormous that The Story of Janghwa and Hongnyeon, the second silent film, never received the due appraisal and significance it deserved. The significance of this film lies in thorough planning that went in as to how to package the film effectively. The Story of Janghwa and Hongnyeon was made by the staff that consisted purely of Koreans, including a Korean cinematography director. Besides, the film promoted such a fact and used "pure Korean film" as the film``s identity and a promotional strategy to respond to the popularity of The Story of Chunhyang. As a result, the film not only ended up gaining more success at the box office than The Story of Chunhyang but also even helped The Story of Chunhyang to promote its commercial success, which is proven by related resources and data. Moreover, in terms of methodology as to how to best utilize the original old classic novel, there is a need to pay attention to the differences between the two works. If The Story of Chunhyang aimed to faithfully reconstruct the original novel without many changes, The Story of Janghwa and Hongnyeon was created under a clear direction and planning as to what to delete and what to embrace from the original novel. In this sense, it followed the progress of The Story of Chunhyang. Contrary to the original classic novel of The Story of Janghwa and Hongnyeon, revolving around a step-mother figure and the two sisters who are resurrected from death, the film version omitted the resurrection story in order to transform the original work into a more modern story and remade it a tragedy in purer form.

In this study, using AlN materials produced by two different sintering techniques, grinding experiments were performed under various grinding conditions, including different table speeds and cut depths. In order to measure the grinding force, a tool dynamometer was used. Surface roughness measurements and a digital microscope were also was used. The grinding forces were higher at a higher table speed and a higher cut depth. The experimental results show that the grinding characteristics of the two workpieces are similar.

This paper reports some experimental result in grinding and polishing of silicon cathodes used in semiconductor manufacturing process. Cup shape diamond core wheels were used in experiments and the radial and tangential grinding forces were measured with surface roughness. In polishing experiments, flat type and donut type wool polishing tools were tested. The experimental results indicate that the grinding forces are proportional to the material removal rates and the surface roughness are inversely proportional to the spindle speed. The surface roughness of polished Si decreases with polishing time and higher spindle speed.
