The Horseshoe appliance was introduced by Dr. Schwarz, and it is used to correct sagittal relationships by elastic force in class III malocclusion. It minimizes the increment of lower anterior facial height and allows the mandible to be repositioned harmoniously with the soft tissue and muscle matrix of the jaw It has the advantages of better patient cooperation, easier construction, and more effective modification. In the patients who were treated with Horseshoe appliance, forward growth of maxilla and counterclockwise rotation of occlusal plane with labioversion of maxillary incisors and linguoversion of mandibular incisors were obtained. Minimum downward and backward rotation of mandible was accepted, so increasing of lower anterior facial height was minimized.
간질 환아에서 Lamotrigine 초기 단독 요법의 효능 및 안정성에 대한 연구

Purpose : To verify the efficacy and safety of lamotrigine (LTG) monotherapy in newly diagnosed children with epilepsy. Methods : We prospectively enrolled 148 children who had undergone LTG monotherapy at our institution between September 2002 and June 2009. Twenty-nine patients were excluded: 19 due to incomplete data and 10 were lost to follow up. The data of the remaining 119 patients was analyzed. Results : We enrolled 119 pediatric epilepsy patients (aged 2.8-19.3 years; 66 males and 53 females) in this study. Out of 119 patients, 29 (25.2%) had generalized epilepsy and 90 (74.8%) had partial epilepsy. The responses of seizure reduction were as follows: Seizure freedom (no seizure attack for at least 6 months) in 87/111 (78.4%, n=111) patients; partial response (reduced seizure frequency compared to baseline) in 13 (11.7%) patients; and persistent seizure in 11 (9.9%) patients. The seizure freedom rate was in 81.6% in patients with partial seizure (75.9% for complex partial seizure and 90.9% for benign rolandic epilepsy) and 44.8% in patients with generalized epilepsy (30.0% for absence seizure, 35.7% for juvenile myoclonic epilepsy patients, and 100.0% for idiopathic generalized epilepsy patients). Adverse reactions were reported in 17 (14.3%) patients, and 8 patients (6.7%) discontinued LTG because of rash and tic. No patient experienced severe adverse reaction such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome. Conclusion : LTG showed excellent therapeutic response and had few significant adverse effects. Our findings report may contribute in promoting the use of LTG monotherapy in epileptic children.
연쇄상구균(Streptococcus mutans GS-5)의 항원단백질 AgI/II의 N-terminus절편에 대한 항체형성

치아 우식은 구강 내 미생물에 의해 치아 석회 조직의 일부가 용해되고 파괴되는 감염성 질환이다. 치아 우식의 원인균은 Streptococcus mutans와 같은 Mutans streptococci로 알려져 있고, 이 미생물이 치면에 접착하여 군집을 형성하는 능력이 균의 독성에 중요한 역할을 한다. S. mutans가 치면의 타액성 피막에 부착하는 데에는 AgI/II와 같은 세포표면의 섬유성 단백질을 매개로 한다. 그러므로, AgI/II는 S. mutans GS-5에 대한 백신 개발에 적절한 목표가 된다. 본 실험은 S. mutans GS-5로부터 AgI/II 유전자를 복제하고 염기서열분석을 하였다. 복제된 AgI/II와 앞서 보고된 S. mutans GS-5의 해당 부위의 280개의 핵산은 완벽하게 일치하였다. 복제된 유전자를 두 부위로 절단하여 형질전환을 통해 재조합 단백질인 AgI/IImr을 얻었고, 정제된 재조합 단백질을 쥐에게 주입하여 다클론 항체를 얻었다. 추출된 다클론 항체는 AgI/IImr항원단백질에 반응하였고, 대조군으로 쓰인 단백질에는 반응하지 않았다.
전자게임을 이용한 가상현실프로그램이 경직성 뇌성마비 아동의 균형과 일상생활활동에 미치는 영향

이 연구의 목적은 PBS(Pediatric Balance Scale)와 WeeFIM(Functional Independence Measure for Children)을 이용해 전자게임을 이용한 가상현실프로그램이 경직성 뇌성마비 아동의 균형 및 일상생활활동에 미치는 영향을 알아보고 평가도구 간의 상관관계를 구하는데 있다. 대동작기능분류체계 제 Ⅰ, Ⅱ 단계의 경직성 뇌성마비 아동 20명을 가상현실군과 대조군으로 10명씩 무작위 배치하여 주 3회, 매 30분씩 12주간 운동을 실시하였다. 가상현실군은 근력운동과 가상현실프로그램을, 대조군은 근력운동만 실시하였다. 그 결과, 가상현실군에서 실험 후에 균형과 일상생활활동이 유의하게 향상되었고(p < 0.05), PBS와 WeeFIM간에 유의한 상관관계를 나타냈다(p < 0.05). 가상현실프로그램은 경직성 뇌성마비아동의 균형과 일상생활활동을 향상시킬 수 있는 흥미로운 중재법으로 사용될 수 있을 것이며, PBS는 뇌성마비아동의 기능을 예측할 수 있는 유용한 평가도구 임을 알 수 있었다. 또한 저렴한 비용의 가상현실프로그램을 홈 프로그램으로도 이용할 수 있을 것이다. The aim of this study were to examine the effects of virtual reality program on balance and activities of daily living in children with spastic cerebral palsy (CP) using the Pediatric Balance Scale (PBS) and the Functional Independence Measure for Children (WeeFIM), and to measure relationship between the PBS and the WeeFIM. For this, A total of 20 spastic CP classified as the Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS)Ⅰ and Ⅱwere employed. The Participant's were allocated randomly to 2 groups: a virtual reality group (n=10) and the control group (n=10). Both groups received muscle strengthening exercise for 3 sessions, 30 minutes per week over a 12 week period. The virtual reality group practiced additional virtual reality program. The virtual reality group showed significant increases in balance (p < 0.05) and activities of daily living (p < 0.05). There were a significant correlation between the PBS and the WeeFIM (p < 0.05). Application of the virtual reality program to treat the spastic CP will be feasible and suitable. And the PBS was a useful tool to predict activities of daily living in the spastic CP.

본 연구에서는 각 16명씩의 건청과 인공와우이식아동의 낱말위치, 조음방법, 조음위치에 따른 자음정확도와 음운변동을 비교하였다. 이를 위해 ‘아동용 한국어 조음검사’를 실시하여 인동와우이식아동과 자음정확도가 일치하는 건청 아동을 모집하고 낱말위치별, 조음방법별, 조음위치별 정확도를 각각 비교하였다. 음운변동은 인공와우이식아동 집단과 건청아동 집단에서 각 음운변동을 2회 이상 보인 아동 수와 출현빈도를 비교하고, 발달적 음운변동과 비발달적 음운변동을 보인 아동 수와 출현빈도를 비교하였다. 자음정확도에 따른 비교는 평균 자음정확도가 일치하는 인공와우이식아동과 건청아동을 80%의 전체 자음정확도를 기준으로 자음정확도가 높은 집단과 낮은 두 집단으로 나누어 발달적 음운변동과 비발달적 음운변동의 출현율을 비교하였다. 이에 따른 결과 및 해석은 다음과 같다. 자음정확도 비교는 조음방법 중 마찰음에서 인공와우이식아동이 건청보다 유의하게 높은 정확도를 보였다. 음운변동 비교에서 건청아동은 긴장음화에서 유의하게 높은 출현 빈도를 보인 반면 인공와우이식아동 집단은 긴장음과 대립되는 이완음화가 높은 출현 빈도를 보였다. 집단 간 음운변동 비교에서 건청아동 집단이 비발달적 음운변동을 거의 나타내지 않은 반면, 인공와우이식아동 집단은 초성생략, 이완음화, 성문음화, 탈비음화 등의 비발달적 음운변동이 나타났으며, 인공와우이식아동 집단에서도 자음정확도가 낮은 집단에서 유의하게 높은 빈도로 나타났다. In this study, we investigated the percentage of correct consonants(PCC) and phonological processes according to sound position within a word, manner of articulation, and place of articulation comparing normal children with children with cochlear implants(CI). Sixteen children with CI for more than one year and 16 normal children with consistent PCC were examined using the ‘Korean Test of Articulation for Children.’ The number of children with phonological processes more than twice and the frequency of occurrence in terms of phonological processes were investigated between the CI and the normal children. Also, the number of children with developmental or non-developmental phonological processes and the frequency of occurrence in terms of phonological processes were compared between the two groups. Each subject group of CI and normal children with consistent average PCC were further divided into two sub-groups: one with PCC above 80% and the other with PCC under 80%. Then, the developmental phonological processes and non-developmental phonological processes of these groups were subsequently compared. From a comparison of PCC, the CI children showed significantly higher PCC than the normal children in fricatives. From a comparison of phonological processes, the normal children significantly had higher frequency of tensing while the CI children had higher frequency of laxing, which is in contrast to tensing. From a comparison of phonological processes between the groups, the normal children rarely showed non-developmental phonological processes while the CI children showed various processes such as the omission of the initial syllable, lenition, glottalization, and denasalization. In particular, the group with CI and low PCC showed significantly higher frequency of non-developmental phonological processes.
서울시 준공업지역의 산업집적이 지역경제 성장에 미치는 영향

From an economic point of view, urban industry is the foundation of urban growth, and many local governments are trying to maintain urban industry as the decline of urban industry leads to urban decline. The Seoul Metropolitan Government has made various industrial policies centered on quasi-industrial areas where industrial sites can be located, but the demand for lifting them is increasing due to housing supply, public housing, and industrial leakage. Therefore, the Seoul Metropolitan Government has maintained the quasi-industrial area through the total number of quasi-industrial areas, but the discussion on the effectiveness of the discussion has yet to be confirmed. Therefore, this study compares the industrial structure and characteristics of quasi-industrial areas, and presents suggestions for industrial development and management policies that match the characteristics of quasi-industrial areas.
