[論文] 도심지 주행패턴에 의한 배출물특성에 관한 실험적 연구

Driving pattern of gasoline passenger car was measured and analyzed at some areas (6 urban area routes, 4 radial routes, 4 circular routes) in Seoul city.<br/> Measured items were vehicle speed, engine speed, intake manifold vacuum, and fuel consumption.<br/> Driving pattern data were reappearanced with engine dynamometer. Results of this investigation might be summarized as below;<br/> I. When we compared urban area route with radial or circular route in rush hour, it was found that the average vehicle speed was measured to be lower about 25% and fuel consumption to be higher about 12% in urban area route.<br/> 2. Average vehicle speed was measured to be higher about 30% and driving resistance output to be higher about 25% in non-rush hour, but average fuel economy was increased a little.<br/> 3. On the bases of average fuel economy and characteristics of exhaust emissions, optimum driving vehicle speed was found about 60 km/h in the 4th (top) and about 40 km/h in the 3rd in driving of experimental engine.<br/> 4. Idling frequency and exhaust emissions of CO, HC were related to idling closely.<br/> But exhaust emission of NOx, which had nothing to do with idling frequency, had relation to acceleration time ratio.

Common rail injection system is flexible in injection timing, injection duration and pressure in engine. Many<br/> research have reported the advantages in using common rail systems. In this study, the characteristics and<br/> performance for single cylinder diesel engine with common rail systems were investigated by changing the<br/> parameters such as injection timing, injection duration and common rail pressure. The injection timing and injection<br/> duration were controlled by electronic pulse generation, and common rail pressure were controlled by PCV driver.<br/> The 498cc single cylinder diesel engine was used in this experiment. All data in engine combustion pressure,<br/> injection timing and injection duration were recorded by Labview.
대형디젤기관에서의 연속재생방식 DPF와 Cooled EGR 성능

The world is faced against the serious problems related to the increasing air pollutions. This research focused on the principle and the development of continuous regeneration DPF and cooled EGR technology which were the after-treatment technologies due to its superior comparability ad possible applicability. The test was done on an 8000cc heavy-duty turbo diesel engine on which continuous regeneration DPF was installed in order to investigate regeneration characteristics of DPF and cooled EGR and engine performance under several conditions of standard diesel or 50ppm ultra low sulfur diesel. Besides exhaust emissions, CO, HC and PM were tested under D-13 mode.

This study aims to provide a fundamental data for directly injected hydrogen fuel engines. Spray, ignition and combustion characteristics of hydrogen were studied using constant volume chamber. For spray visualization, hydrogen was vertically injected into a combustion chamber at various condition (injection pressure) and a laser beam horizontally penetrated into the combustion chamber for the shadowgraph photography in optical methods. And to investigate heat-release rate and flame propagations, spark was ignited on hydrogen injected at the different time after injection and the duration of injection was also changed. Processes of ignition and combustion were analyzed by heat-release rate calculated by pressure history and were observed by shadowgraph photography. The results gave much knowledge of spray, ignition and combustion characteristics of hydrogen.

The purpose of this work is to obtain fundamental data about performance of ignition and combustion with high pressure injection of CNG. This experiments were conducted under a constant volume combustion chamber that can change ignition times, injection pressure, then the combustion pressure were investigated. Optical device was used to the visualization of combustion process. This test provided the fundamentals of CNG such as ignition and combustion characteristics under a high pressure direct injection system and the experimental results were also compared with one obtained by using a computer simulation technique.

Recently, increasing usage of diesel vehicle, many countries try to reduce the pollutant materials by emission regulation standard. Particularly, in our country, the supplement ratio of diesel vehicle is high, and air pollution by vehicle exhaust gas is very serious. So, in study, we tested exhaust gas by various mode in light duty diesel engine. Therefore, we can know about NOx and smoke seriousness.
