To maintain efficiency of heat exchanger, fouling of heat transfer surface is important to remove. This study was to investigate cleaning result of plate heat exchanger using ceramic ball. The fouling is created in heat transfer surface of plate heat exchanger using CaCO₃ as the fouling subject. The fouling concentration varied from 10 mol/m³ to 20 mol/m³. The overall heat transfer coefficient recovered 97.9% for 10mol/m³ case, and 94.3% for 20 mol/m³ case in comparison with initial state. It can be concluded that the cleaning of ceramic ball contribute significantly to the of performance recovery for overall heat transfer coefficient and fouling resistance after cleaning experiment.

Purpose: Aspiration pneumonia is an important complication of drug intoxication with decreased mental status. The purpose of the study is to investigate the risk factors of aspiration pneumonia in the patients of benzodiazepine overdose with or without co-ingestion of other drugs. Methods: A retrospective chart review of patients who visited the emergency department between January 2012 and December 2014 was conducted. Demographic data, time from ingestion to visit, initial vital signs, symptoms, mental status, medical history, laboratory results, chest radiological findings and co-ingested medications were recorded. Multiple logistic analyses were performed to verify the association between variables and the development of aspiration pneumonia. Results: A total of 249 patients presented to the emergency department with benzodiazepine overdose. Aspiration pneumonia had developed in 24 patients (9.6%). Univariate analysis revealed time from ingestion to visit was longer, Glasgow coma scale score was lower, hypoxia was presented, leukocytosis was shown, types of ingested drugs was high, less activated charcoal was applied and tricyclic antidepressants was taken in patients that developed aspiration pneumonia. Time from ingestion to visit (odds ratio (OR) 1.121, 95% confidence interval (CI), 1.057- 1.189, p=0.000), GCS score (OR 0.724. 95% CI, 0.624-0.839, p=0.000), oxygen saturation (OR 0.895, 95% CI, 0.835-0.959, p=0.002), and co-ingestion of TCA (OR 4.595, 95% CI, 1.169-18.063, p=0.029) were identified as risk factors of morbidity of aspiration pneumonia upon multiple logistic regression analysis. Conclusion: Time from ingestion to visit, low GCS score, low oxygen saturation and co-ingestion of TCA were risk factors of the development of aspiration pneumonia in benzodiazepine overdose patients.

변산반도국립공원의 곤충 목록은 총 15목 187과 1,365종으로 정리되었다. 변산반도국립공원 내에 서식하는 것으로 기록된 법정보호종은 환경부 지정 멸종위기동물 II급인 고려집게벌레, 비단벌레, 애기뿔소똥구리, 왕은점표범나비가 있으며, 환경부 고유종은 87종, 특정종은 159종, 국외반출승인대상종은 23종, 천연기념물 1종의 기록이 확인되었다. The insect fauna in Byunsanbando National Park was summarized to include a total of 15 orders, 187 families, and 1,365 species. Protected species under law, which are recorded to have inhabited in Byunsanbando National Park, include Challia fletcheri, Chrysochroa fulgidissima, Copris tripartitus, and Fabriciana nerippe, all of which belong to rating II endangered species designated by the Ministry of Environment. Also, 87 species were recorded to be endemic species by the Ministry of Environment, 159 species were recorded to be specific species, 23 species were recorded to be species approved to be taken out of the country, and one species was recorded to be a national monument.

현재 WPAN(Wireless Personal Area Network) 전송기술의 하나인 IEEE 802.15.4a의 저속형 UWB(Ultra Wide Band) 기술이 활발하게 연구되어지고 있다. 하지만 IEEE 802.15.4a에서 제시된 WPAN 전송채널의 경우에는 심각한 멀티패스 간섭성분이 존재하여 이에 대한 해결방안이 절실히 요구되어지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는, WPAN환경에서 전송채널의 심각한 멀티패스 성분을 물리계층(Physical layer) 레벨에서 근원적으로 해결하여 높은 QoS(Quality of Service)를 확보하게 해줄 수 있는 단극형 ZCD(Zero Correlation Duration)확산코드 기반의 Chaotic-OOK (On-Off Keying) 무선통신기술을 제안하고 IEEE 802.15.4a 채널 환경하에서의 모의실험을 통한 성능평가를 통해 제안한 무선통신기술의 유용성을 입증하였다.
외상 환자의 중증도 판단과 예후 예측을 위한 개별 인자들의 유용성 평가

Purpose: Many patients are injured by trauma. And some of them expire due to severity of trauma. Various scoring systems have been introduced in grading severity and predicting mortality of trauma patients. This study is to evaluation the usefulness of factors for determining the severity and predicting the prognosis of the trauma victims. Methods: Data on the patients who visited our Emergency departments from January 2010 to December 2011 were retrospectively reviewed using electronic medical records. The patients were activated severe trauma team calling system. The patients were categorized as survivors and non-survivors. Univariated associations were calculated, and a multiple logistic regression analysis was used to determine variables associated with hospital mortality. Results: Two hundred sixty two(262) patients were enrolled, and the mortality rate was 25.6%. By multivariate analysis, lower respiration rate, lower Glasgow Coma Score, higher International Normalized Ratio and emergency transfusion within 6 hours were expected as severity and prognosis predict factors (each of odds ratio were 24.907, 14.282, 2.667 and 16.144). Conclusion: As predict factors, respiration rate, Glasgow Coma Score, International Normalized Ratio and emergency transfusion, are useful determining the severity and predicting prognosis of trauma victims.
