We present results of a test-study of the large-scale survey using the multi-beam receiver system recently installed on the 14 m telescope at Taeduk Radio Astronomy Observatory (TRAO). We have tested several modes of mapping, and found suitable (time-saving) mapping parameters of 'ON-SOURCE' = 8, 'OFF-SOURCE' = 1 when using 'RPT' = 3 as a position-switching mode. We observed 504 spectra towards the NGC 7538, a star forming molecular cloud in the transition of J = 1 - 0 of $^{12}CO$. From the Outer Galaxy Survey database (Heyer et al., 1998) we obtained 504 spectra for the same region. We compared integrated intensities, line profiles of two databases, and found that they are consistent to each other. From the intensity ratio of these two databases we also found that the value of forward spillover scattering of the TRAO telescope system is 0.58.

One of the promising technologies for LEV program secondary air injection system has been studied widely. In this paper feasibility test of secondary air injection system for LEV program and a comparison of its efficiency with that of a passive A/F control system were done using the FTP75 test on a 2.0 DOHC A/T vehicle. The engine out and tai lpipe emissions were recorded by the second with the temperatures of exhaust gas and the warm up converter. The temperatures were measured at manifold, inlet and the center of the warm up converter. The vehicle had a 0.67L Pd-only warm up converter and a 1.8L underbody converter which were 50k aged on MAD for the aftertreatment system and a ECU of LEV level. The ULEV regulation was sat isfied through a secondary air inject ion system. But the ULEV regulation was also satisfied with the lean A/F control during the first 40 sec after cold start. This study showed the lean A/F control strategy could be one of the potent ial technologies to meet LEV/ULEV regulations without any other additional active system.<br/>

The front frame made by stamping the TB is developed. At the first, the requirement of the front frame is studied and the TB concept is designed and the computer simulation of stamping and crash is performed. After the above study, the first TB concept design is modified for the making mold and the forming. The stamped TB front frame was tested by compressing as the front frame only in the UTM. The collapse mode and load was checked with the deformation. In result, it is possible to raise up the crush performance of the front frame and at the same time to reduce the 20% weight reduction, and also the collapse mode of the front frame at the test can be changed from bending to axial collapse by the bead shape control.<br/>
