Xanthomonas maltophilia 의 5S rRNA 의 구조 결정
조봉래,고문주,임자혜,박인원 ( Bong Rae Cho,Moon Joo Koh,Ja Hei Ihm,In Won Park ) 생화학분자생물학회 1991 BMB Reports Vol.24 No.1
The primary and secondary structures of the 5S rRNA isolated from Xanthomonas maltophilia were determined by enzymatic and chemical degradation methods. It consists of 119 nucleotides and contains no modified nucleosides. In contrast with other 5S rRNA`s, it contains an additional uridine residue on the 5` terminus. The secondary structure of the 5S rRNA from X. maltophilia was very similar to the generalized models proposed by other workers(De Wachter et al., 1982; Wolters and Erdmann, 1988; Koh, 1989) The secondary structure of 5S rRNA from X. maltophilia consists of five helices, five loops and two bulges. In contrast with the most of the prokaryotic 5S rRNA`s that have adenosine residues at position 66 as a bulge, this 5S rRNA has uridine at this position.

The modified nucleosides in the cytoplasmic 5.8S rRNA from Chaetomorpha moniligera, a green alga, were determined by in vitro labeling method. Their positions on the primary structure were determined by the locations of the gaps in alkali sequencing ladders. 2`-O-methyl uridine, 2`-O-methyl adenosine and 2`-O-methyl guanosine were present at the positions 13, 42 and 74, respectively.
Reactions of Aryl Halides with Phenoxides and Alkoxides by Phase Transfer Catalysis
조봉래,박성대,Jo, Bong Rae,Park, Seong Dae Korean Chemical Society 1984 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.5 No.3
The reaction of aryl halides with phenoxides and alkoxides were investigated under phase transfer catalytic conditions. 2,4-Dinitro- and 4-nitrohalobenzenes reacted readily with phenoxides in NaOH(aq)-benzene in the presence of Bu4N+Br, affording the products quantitatively. Although the aryl halides did not react with alkoxides under the same condition, the reactions were completed within 2 hours at room temperature when conducted under solid-liquid phase transfenr catalytic condition. The reactivity of aryl halides was in the order, Ar = 2,4-dinitrophenyl > 4-nitrophenyl, and X = F > Cl, consistent with the SNAr mechanism. The reactivity of oxyanions increased with the change of reaction condition from liquid-liquid to solid-liquid phase transfer catalysis. The results were explained with the concentration and the degree of hydration of the anion in benzene.

Based on K_(nuc) values calculated from the homology of sequences of thirteen 5S rRNAs from the Pseudomonas and Xanthomonas species, a phylogenic tree was reconstructed using UPGMA method. We have found that K_(nuc) values, rates of nucleotide substitution, are important indices for the evolutionary relationship between the species of Pseudomonas and Xanthomonas. Furthermore, the phylogenic tree reconstructed enables us to suggest that it is reasonable to classify Xanthomonas maltophilia to the genus Xanthomonas instead of Pseudomonas.

In this paper, We propose a method of recognizing unknown words based on the comparative analysis of their example eojeols(i.e. spacing units in Korean). This method extracts the example eojeols by using the fact that eojeols including a same unknown word are morphologically similar in their string form, and then recognizes the unknown words by using the fact that same unknown words perform a same grammatical function in their example eojeols. Unlike the existing methods which are mainly depending on a morphological analysis, our method has following three capabilities exact segmentation between an unknown morpheme and a known morpheme, detection of unknown words which is improperly analyzable, and identification of part-of-speeches of unknown words Moreover, our method determines whether an unknown word identified as a noun is a proper noun or a common noun by using lexical clues. In this paper, we also presents a method that can automatically collect such lexical clues from very large corpora. Experimental results show that our method can recognize unknown words in about 84% recall rate and 95% precision rate respectively.

In this paper, we propose a method of recognizing unknown words and correcting spelling errors(including spacing errors) to increase the performance of Korean information processing systems. Unknown words are recognized through comparative analysis of two or more morphologically similar eojeols(spacing units in Korean) including the same unknown word candidates. And spacing errors and spelling errors are corrected by using lexicalized rules which are autimatically extracted from very large raw corpus. The extraction of the lexicalized rules is based on morphological and contextual similarities between error eojeols and their correction eojeols which are confirmed to be used in the corpus. The experimental result shows that our system can recognize unknown words in an accuracy of 98.9%, and can correct spacing errors and spelling errors in accuracies of 98.1% and 97.1%, respectively.

Generally, container ships contain cargo holds with cell guides that serve to increase the container loading and unloading efficiency, minimize the space loss, and fix containers during the voyage. This paper describes a new quality management system for the cell guides of container ships (the so-called Trim Cell Guide system). The main functions of this system are the trimming of the point cloud obtained using a 3D scanner and an inspection simulation for cell guide quality. In other words, the raw point cloud of cell guides after construction is measured using a 3D scanner. Here, the raw point cloud contains a lot of noise and unnecessary information. Using the GUI interface supported by the system, the raw point cloud can be trimmed. The trimmed point cloud is used in a simulation for cell guide quality inspection. The RANSAC (Random Sample Consensus) algorithm is used for the transverse section representation of a cell guide at a certain height and applied for the calculation of the intervals between the cell guides and container. When the container hits the cell guides during the inspection simulation, the container is rotated horizontally and checked again for a possible collision. It focuses on a system that can be simulated with the same inspection process as in a shipyard. For a practicality review, we compared the precision data gained from an inspection simulation with the measured data. As a result, it was confirmed that these values were within approximately ±2 mm.
