담관주위낭종은 문맥고혈압이나 심한 간담도질환이 있는 환자에서 중심부 담관에 존재하는 담관주위선조직(peribiliary glandular tissue)의 괴사성 염증변화(necroinflammatory change)에 의한 낭성확장으로 대개 무증상이며 우연히 발견된다.그러나 드물게 증상을 초래하고 담관을 누르는 경우가 있어 담관협착 및 그 근위부 담관의 확장을 일으키는 다양한 양성 및 악성 병변들과의 감별이 요구되기도 한다. 저자들은 최근 복부통증을 호소하는 환자에서 중심부 담관의 협착과 간내담관의 확장을 동반한 담관주위낭종을 수술로 확인하여 영상소견과 병리소견을 보고한다. 초음파검사와 전산화단층촬영에서 간문과 큰 좌측 간문맥관(portal tract)을 따라 위치하는 낭성 병변들과 좌측 간내담관의 확장이 보였고, 병리조직학적 검사에서 중심부 담관을 누르는 담관주위낭종으로 확진되었다. Peribiliary cysts involve cystic dilatation and necroinflammatory change in the peribiliary glandular tissue of the larger biliary tree in association with portal hypertension or severe hepatobiliary disease. They are usually asymptomatic and found incidentally. However, rare cases causing symptoms or the mass effect of bile duct compression require differential diagnosis. They may be benign or malignant lesions resulting from narrowing of the bile duct and involving dilatation of the proximal intrahepatic bile duct. We recently encountered a case of peribiliary cysts associated with intrahepatic duct dilatation, and confirmed by surgery, and present the imaging and pathologic findings. Sonography and CT revealed the presence of multiple cystic lesions along the hepatic hilum, and the larger left portal tract and left intrahepatic ducts were dilated. Histopathologic examination indicated that the cysts were compressing the central bile duct.

The transmission pipeline industry spends many millions of dollars annually performing inline inspections, excavating sites of possible corrosion, and repairing or replacing damaged sections of pipe. New criteria fur evaluation of the integrity of corroded pipe have been developed in recent years to help in controlling these costs. These new criteria vary widely in their estimates of integrity and the most appropriate criterion fur a given pipeline is net always clear. This paper presents an overview, comparison and evaluation of acceptability criteria for corrosion deflects in pipelines. By full scale burst tests, this paper has assessed the relative accuracy of each of theses criteria in predicting burst pressure. Many of the criteria appear to be excessively conservative and indicate that deflects must be repaired when none is needed, based upon burst test data.
