      • Axle Counter를 이용한 열차위치 검지 및 ATP 방호 방안

        Typically, the railway system is divided into depot for vehicle maintenance & repair and main line for sales operation. The signalling system is installed in all train depot and main line to control train safely. depending on signal control method, there are several method for the train position detection. first it is using PF or AF circuit, other using transponders and wireless communication, the other using the Axle Counter to detect the train position. switch or signals is controlled by the signalling system based on train position detection. This paper describe safe train control and ATP protection function by using Axle Counter and Active-type transformers in a train depot or main line.

      • 탄소강 배관에서 오리피스 설치 유형별 후단 배관 감육 민감도 분석

        오리피스를 통과한 유체가 고속이면 심한 난류를 유발하기 때문에 오리피스 후단에 배관 감육 현상이 나타난다. 실제로 금년 월성원전 1호기 2차 계통 안전관련 배관에서도 심한 감육 손상이 나타난 바 있다. 본 연구에서는 신월성 원전 1, 2호기 2차 계통에서 가장 많이 설치되어 있는 판형 및 콘형 오리피스에 대한 실험과 수치해석을 수행하여 수치해석의 타당성을 검증하였다. 실험수행은 배관계에서 두 가지 Type의 오리피스를 2가지 유속에 대하여 각각 실험을 실시하였다. 수치해석 수행 결과, 콘형 오리피스가 판형 오리피스에 비하여 압력변화의 완화가 나타나는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 속도의 변화에 따른 오리피스 전후단의 압력변화에 있어서 콘형이 판형에 비하여 민감하지 않음을 알 수 있었다. 하지만 특정부위에서의 높은 압력은 판형이나 콘형에서 모두 관찰되었다. 따라서 콘형은 판형에 비하여 캐비테이션 효과를 줄일 수 있는 가능성은 크지만 유동가속부식으로 인한 배관감육을 완화시키기에는 한계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. Wall thinning is appeared when severe turbulence is caused by high speed fluid which passed orifice. In practice, Severe Wall thinning is appeared in new safety pipe of Wolsung NPP 1. In this study, To certify Experiment and numerical analysis was performed on flat and cone type orifice which were installed in new Wolsung NPP 1, 2 secondary system. Respectively, Experiment was performed with verifying 2 cases distance and 2 cases velocity from the rear elbow. From the result of numerical analysis, It was certified that weakness of pressure variation was appeared in cone orifice than flat orifice. And, It confirmed that cone orifice was not sensitive than flat orifice in pressure variation of former and latter of orifice. But, high pressure was observed either flat orifice and cone orifice in particular point. Therefore, It was concluded that cone orifice is effective than flat orifice in reducing cavitation phenomenon. But it is not effective in reliving wall thinning from flow accelerated corrosion.

      • 자기부상열차 제어를 위한 통신기반 무인 신호시스템 구축

        The Maglev travels at levitated status from the rail in some gab (about 8~10mm). it make difference with the existing subway or the another LRV. The detection method of the train speed and the train position to be used at Maglev"s signaling system differ with the existing subway or the another LRV"s. so, the signal system construction of the new method is necessary. This paper describes the configuration and characteristic of the total signaling system (TTC/Wayside/Cab/Guide way system etc.) developed for Maglev, and the design concept of the signaling system based on the latest wireless LAN communication for driverless operation.

      • 고체입자가 혼합된 충돌제트에서의 금속 표면 침식에 관한 연구

        Wall thinning erosion in carbon steel piping classified FAC, C/E, SPE, mainly. FAC(Flow Acceleration Corrosion) was investigated by many labs. And, Effect of C/E(Cavitation Effect) is decreased due to design supplementation. SPE(Solid Particle Erosion) is investigated in aviation industry mainly. On the other hand, SPE is not studied in NPP(Nuclear Power Plant) industry. Therefore, this research focuses relation between erosion rate and material, concentration. Experiment is conducted in 3 cases of material(Aluminium, Low-carbon steel(SS400) and High-carbon steel(A106B)) and 2 cases of concentration(50 ppm, 90 ppm) and 2 cases of velocity(10 m/s, 7 m/s). SPE threshold value and erosion rates are obtained through continuous experiment. NPPs SPE prediction theory and management technique were drawn from the obtained data.

And, Effect of C/E(Cavitation Effect) is decreased due to design supplementation. LIE(Liquid Impingement Erosion) is investigated in aviation industry mainly. On the other hand, LIE is not studied in NPP(Nuclear Power Plant) industry. Therefore, this research focus relation between erosion rate and velocity, droplet content. Experiment is conducted in 4 cases of velocity(100~200㎧) and 3 cases of droplet content. LIE threshold value and erosion rates are obtained through continuous experiment. NPPs LIE prediction theory and management technique was drawn from the obtained data.

      • Modeling기반 RF-CBTC ATP시스템 SW개발 및 적용

        열차제어시스템은 승객의 안전을 보장하는 시스템이어야 한다. 그러나, 열차제어 시스템 장치를 제어하는 소프트웨어는 개발자의 실수에 의해 심각한 오류를 가질 수 있다. 이러한 불확실성이 존재하는 소프트웨어를 철도신호와 같이 안전성이 중요한 시스템에 적용하기 위해서는 철저한 안전성 검증이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 SCADE Suit를 사용하여 개발자의 오류를 차단하는 모델기반 설계 및 검증에 대한 시스템 개발 및 연구내용을 기술한다. 개발된 모델링 기반 RF-CBTC 열차제어시스템을 통해 모델링 안전 소프트웨어 개발 절차, 구조설계 및 실시간 운영체제 기반 인터페이스 방법, 모델링 데이터 입출력 동기화 방법을 제시한다. Train Control System should be vouch for the safety of passengers. But, The software for controlling the system may have the fatal bug owing to the developer’s mistake. For application so uncertainty software to the safety critical system such as train signaling, the complete safety verification process is demanded. This paper explain of the system development and researches about the modeling based software architecture design and verification that prohibiting the developer’s mistake by using SCADE modeling tool. This paper propose the modeling based development process, the software architecture design, the interfacing method on the realtime O/S and the synchronizing input/output method of the modeling data through the RF-CBTC train development system.

      • 탄소강 배관 엘보우에서 유동가속부식으로 인한 난류 속도 성분과 국부 감육의 상관관계

        탄소강으로 제작된 산업제의 플랜트 및 발전소의 배관의 내부로 유제가 흐르게 되면 유동가속부식이라는 손상을 받아 국부적으로 두께가 얇아지고 결국에는 파손되는 경우가 많다. 따라서, 본 연구의 목적은 국부감육을 실제적으로 분석하고 그와 관련된 난류매개변수를 밝혀내는데 있다. 축소 제작된 엘보우를 대상으로 실험과 수치해석을 수행하였으며 특히, 실제적인 국부감육 발생 위치를 찾아내기 위해 알칼리 금속염을 사용하여 감육 유로가시화 실험을 수행하였다. 수치해석에 기초한 난류매개 변수와 국부감육 두께를 비교 및 분석하였다. 결과 값 비교를 통하여 반경 방향 유속 Vr이 국부 감육 현상과 가장 연관성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. When pipe components made of carbon steel in nuιlear, fossil , and industry are exposed to flowing fluid, wall thinning caused by FAC(Flow Accelerated Corrosion) can be generated and eventually ruptured. A study to identify the locations generating local wall thinning and to disclose turbulence coefficient related to the local wall thinning was performed. Experiment and numerical analyses for elbow of down scaled piping components were performed. In particular, flow visualization experiment which was used alkali metallic salt was performed to find actual location of local wall thinning. The turbulence coefficients based on the numerical analyses were compared with the local wall thinning thickness. From the comparison of the results, the vertical flow velocity component(Vr) flowing to the wall after separating in the wall due to the geometrical configuration and colliding with the wall directly at an angle of some degree was analogous to the configuration of local wall thinning.

      • 유동가속부식으로 인한 오리피스 후단 탄소강 배관에서의 국부감육 현상에 관한 연구

        When pipe components made of carbon steel in nuclear and industry are exposed to flowing fluid, wall thinning caused by FAC(Flow Accelerated Corrosion) can be generated and eventually ruptured. A study to identify the locations generating local wall thinning and to disclose turbulence coefficient related to the local wall thinning was performed. Experiment and numerical analyses for grade after orifice of down scaled piping components were performed. In particular, flow visualization experiment which was used alkali metallic salt was performed to find actual location of local wall thinning. The turbulence coefficients based on the numerical analyses were compared with the local wall thinning thickness. The purpose of this paper is that cause investigation of wall thinning by FAC and prediction exactly the local wall thinning location in Pipe.

      • RF-CBTC 신호방식에서 Fall-Back 시스템 구축방안 (A study of performing Fall-Back operation in RF-CBTC signalling system)

        In the system necessary for safety such as the train control system, to make train control information be sent correctly is very important to enable organic movement between trains. In the case of the system such as RF-CBTC (Radio Frequency Communication Based Train Control) the control related information is sent through wireless transmission between on-board system of a train and wayside transmitter. The wayside transmitter collects the running information such as location, velocity from the on-board system and operates the optimizing control by sending the control information such as the target, limited velocity to the on-board system. But, when the communication disconnect or train failure, the critical hazard such as train collision or derailment may be possible because the RF-CBTC depends on the information through wireless communication. This paper discribes of performing Fall-Back system to detect train position in the case of rail break or communication failure to avoid train accident and allows train to be operated safely. It can be implemented with ATP function through track circuits using active-type transformers and axle counters, and allows train to be operated manually in emergency status.

      • SDU 장치를 이용한 Slip/Slide 제어방안 (Using SDU Slip/Slide Control)

        The paper is to perceive accurately speed of the train through redundant processor operation. When Slip/slide is occurred at the axle, the train is applied brake force using the Tachometer and the Doppler sensor which assistance equipment. One of the main features of railway signaling system is that rolling stock is made stop to avoid collision with the rolling stock ahead when the rolling stock exceeds its maximum operating speed in line. In addition, in the case of the rolling stock with automatic train operation, it carries out activities such as braking and propulsion using the difference between its actual speed and target speed at the point. To perform these functions, it is essential to calculate the exact speed of the rolling stock in signaling equipment on vehicles. Train speed detection unit are composed of the Tachometer and the Doppler sensor, and speed information is sent to the SDU unit. The processor of SDU unit calculates the speed of the train using compare logic the received speed information. Even if there are Slip/Slide, signaling system is available to apply exact braking, to improve stop on position and to guarantee the safety of trains.
