        The Research of the CPC’s Strategies of Governing Tibet

        The Communist Party of Chinas(CPC) strategies of governing Tibet are explored within the process of the party’s peaceful liberation of Tibet and the establishment of the socialist system, created in the new period of the party leading the Tibetan people to carry out reform, opening up and modernization, developed in the period when the party led the Tibetan people to build a well - off society in an all - round way, and formed in the new era of completing the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects. Under the new situation, the general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, Xi Jinping has inherited and developed the CPC’s strategies of governing Tibet. He also combined the current issues and situations faced by Tibet, put forward a “to rule the country must rule the frontier, to rule the frontier must stabilize Tibet”(治国必治边、治边先稳藏) strategy, which claimed to follow five principle: legally govern Tibet; enrich the Tibetan people; long-term establishment of Tibet; gather and unite people; maintain foundations. These formed the CPC’s strategies of governing Tibet.

      • Estimation of DOAs of EM Waves Emitted from Multiple Partial Discharge Sources in Free Space by Using Wideband Signal Subspace Methods

        Detecting partial discharge (PD) caused by the degradation of insulating materials is needed to prevent the electric breakdown. We have studied radio remote sensing to detect PD. Therefore, it is necessary to remove the electromagnetic (EM) waves reflected on the power equipment when PD source is localized. In this paper, we consider to estimate the direction-of-arrival (DOA) of EM waves emitted from PD in a free space. The signal subspace method, which uses an eigenstructure of the correlation matrix obtained from the received signals, is approved useful to estimate DOA. The finite difference time domain (FDTD) method is used to simulate the propagation of EM waves emitted from PD sources. The wideband signal subspace methods, e.g. coherent signal subspace method (CSSM), test of orthogonality of projected subspace (TOPS), test of orthogonality of frequency (TOFS), and improved CSSM (I-CSSM) are applied to estimate the DOA of EM waves.

      • Association Between MDM2 SNP309 T>G and Risk of Gastric Cancer: A Meta-analysis

        Background: As a negative regulator of P53, MDM2 plays an important role in carcinogenesis; a polymorphism in its promoter region. SNP309 T>G, is known to increase the expression of MDM2, thus being considered related to higher susceptibility to neoplasia. However, no agreement has been achieved regarding its effects on gastric cancer. Methods: The present systematic meta-analysis was performed based on comprehensive literature search from Pubmed, Web of science and CBM databases. Results: It was suggested from 6 independent studies that the GG genotype is associated with a significantly increased risk of gastric cancer (Recessive: OR = 1.43, 95% CI = 1.08-1.91, P = 0.013), and subgroup analysis also confirmed the relationship (English publications-recessive model: OR = 1.45, 95% CI = 1.10-1.91, P = 0.009; Studies in China-recessive model: OR = 1.58, 95% CI = 1.08-2.30, P = 0.017). No publication bias was detected. Conclusion: The meta-analysis indicated a significant inverse association between GG genotype carriage and elevated risk of gastric cancer. However, more studies and detailed information are needed to fully address the topic.

      • Investigation on the Use of GPGPU for Fast Sparse Matrix Factorization

        Solution for network equations is frequently encountered by power system researchers. With the increasingly larger system size, time consumed network solution is becoming a dominant factor in the overall time cost. One distinct and important feature of the network admittance matrix is that it is highly sparse, which need to be addressed by specialized computation techniques. One technique to accelerate matrix factorization is parallel computation, with which data processing can be divided into different tasks and implemented simultaneously. However, up to now, efficiency of parallel computation algorithm implemented on multi-processor systems is adversely affected by the data communication latency between processors. In this paper, by taking advantage of the parallel computing power of the contemporary Graphic Processing Units (GPU) and designs of sparse technique for matrix factorization implemented on GPU, proposed algorithms are implemented and evaluated on the Computer Unified Device Architecture (CUDA) interface of the NVIDIA GPU. Preliminary results show significant improvement of speed of LU factorization.

      • A Comparison of Research Topics in Leading Tourism Journals

        As the tourism industry has grown, so too has tourism research. Similar to previous research on the development of tourism research, this study presents a content analysis of refereed articles published in four leading tourism journals over the past decade. This is to explore how the field has evolved and which topics have been popular. Based on a sample of 2,223 articles, 20 research topics across the journals were identified using both absolute and relative counting methods. The findings show that new research topics have emerged in the past decade. In addition, empirical findings reveal that travelers’ perception and behavior, and theory and research development, were the most frequently-discussed topics.

        무선 센서 네트워크에서 라우팅 홀을 우회하기 위한 에너지 효율적 데이타 전달 프로토콜

        위치정보기반 라우팅을 이용하는 무선 센서망은 자연환경 혹은 센서 노드들의 불균형적인 에너지 소비로 인한 라우팅 홀(hole)로 인해 높은 통신 장애 가능성이 존재한다. 이에 대해 연구된 대부분의 기법들은 그런 라우팅홀을 우회하는 방법으로 접근하는 경향을 보인다. 그러나 홀 우회를 위한 라우팅은 홀 주변 센서노드들의 불균형적인 에너지 소비를 유도하기 때문에, 그들의 통신장애 및 네트워크 수명에 장애를 발생시킬 수 있다. 우리는 이미 홀우회를 위한 라우팅 방안을 제안하였지만, 그 또한 갖는 문제점 때문에 가우시안 함수를 활용하여 그 연구에 대한 확장 방안을 새롭게 제안한다. Void areas (holes) as an inevitable phenomenon exist in geographic routing of wireless sensor networks, because the unpredictable and harsh nature application environment or uneven energy consumption. Most of the existing schemes for the issue tend to construct a static detour path to bypass a hole. The static detour path may lead to uneven energy consumption of the nodes on the perimeter of the hole; thus it may enlarge the hole. At the same time, traffic would concentrate on the peripheral node of the hole; thus the nodes on the perimeter of the hole tend to be depletedquickly. In previous work, we have proposed a hole geometric model to reduce the energy consumption and packet collisions of the nodes on the hole boundary. This scheme, however, still has the static detour path problem. Therefore, we extend the previous work by constructing a dynamic detour path hole geometric model for wireless sensor networks in this paper. The location of hole detour anchors is dynamically shifted according to Gaussian function, just generating dynamic hole detour paths.

        중국 중학생의 학업부력 및 학업 자기개념과 학업성취 간의 관계

        본 연구의 목적은 학업부력, 학업 자기개념, 학업성취 간 관계구조를 수학-중국어의 영역 특수적 관점에서 분석하고 성별과 학년에 따라 어떠한 차이점을 보이는지 살펴볼 것이다. 434명의 중국 운남성(雲南省)의 중학생을 대상으로 학업부력, 학업 자기개념, 학업성취 간 관계구조를 구조 방정식 모형을 통해 분석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 학업부력은 학업 자기개념을 매개로 학업성취와 연관성을 보이며 영역 특수적인 특성을 지녔다. 둘째, 성별에 따른 모형의 변인 간 직·간접 경로값에서 차이가 나타났다. 셋째, 학년에 따른 모형의 변인 간 직접 경로값에서 차이가 나타났다. 마지막으로, 본 연구의 교육적 시사점 및 제한점을 기술하고 몇 가지 후속 연구를 제시하였다. The purpose of this research is to analyze the structural relationship of academic buoyancy, academic self-concept, and academic performance with domain-specific perspective in the field of mathematics and Chinese. We also compared its relationship according to gender and grade. The sample consisted of 434 middle school students from Yunnan Province, China. The structural equation model was performed to examine the structural relationship of academic buoyancy, academic self-concept, and academic performance. As results, first, there existed the mediating effect of academic self-concept on the relationships between academic buoyancy and academic performance. Second, there was a difference in the direct and indirect path values between the variables of the model by gender. Third, there was a difference in the direct path value between the variables of the model according to the grade. Finally, the educational implications and limitations of this study, as well as some suggestions for the future research were presented.

        Treatment of Periodontal Bone Defects with Stem Cells from Inflammatory Dental Pulp Tissues in Miniature Swine

        BACKGROUND: Containing a certain proportion of mesenchymal stem cells, inflammatory dental tissue showed great tissue regeneration potential in recent years. However, whether it is applicable to promote tissue regeneration in vivo remains to be elucidated. Therefore, we evaluated the feasibility of stem cells from inflammatory dental pulp tissues (DPSCs-IPs) to reconstruct periodontal defects in miniature pigs. METHODS: The autologous pig DPSCs-IPs were first cultured, appraised and loaded onto b-tricalcium phosphate (b- TCP). The compounds were then engrafted into an artificially-created periodontal defect. Three months later, the extent of periodontal regeneration was evaluated. Clinical examination, radiological examination and immunohistochemical staining were used to assess periodontal regeneration. RESULTS: The data collectively showed that DPSCs-IPs from miniature pigs expressed moderate to high levels of STRO-1 and CD146 as well as low levels of CD34 and CD45. DPSCs-IPs have osteogentic, adipogenic and chondrogenic differentiation abilities. DPSCs-IPs were engrafted onto b-TCP and regenerated bone to repair periodontal defects by 3 months’ post-surgical reconstruction. CONCLUSION: Autologous DPSCs-IPs may be a feasible means of periodontal regeneration in miniature pigs.

        Chromatographic retention of nine solutes by the using of linear solvation energy relationships in RP-HPLC

        Linear solvation energy relationships (LSERs) are used to investigate the fundamental chemical interactions governing the retention of nine aromatic compounds on a C18 column. The mobile phases studied involve ionic liquids 1-Methyl-3-octylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([OMIm][BF4]) (0.003-0.009M), with 5 to 20% acetonitrile in water as mobile phase modifiers. The ability of the LSERs to account for the chemical interactions underlying solute retention is shown. A comparison of predicted and experimental retention factors suggests that LSER formalism is able to reproduce adequately the experimental retention factors of the solutes studied in the different experimental conditions investigated.
