6-(3.4-Dichlorophenyl)amino-7-chloro-5.8-quinolinedione (RCK50) was tested for antifungal activities in mice systemically infected with Candida albicans. The therapeutic potential of RCK50 was also assessed in comparison with ketoconazole. RCK50 had ED_50 0.22±0.01 ㎎/㎏. Ketoconazole as a positive control had ED_50 6.00±1.70 ㎎/㎏. Intraperitoneally administered RCK50 at the ED_50 for 7 days and 14 days reduced Candida albicans colony count in the kidneys and liver. And administered RCK50 at the ED_50 for 14 days improved survival rates. The genotoxicities of RCK50 had been evaluated. RCK50 was negative in Ames test with Salmonella typhimurium and chromosomal aberration test in CHL cells. RCK50 did not show any clastogenic effect in mouse peripheral blood and was negative in mouse micronucleus assay. These results indicate that RCK50 has no genotoxic potential under these experimental conditions. Acute oral toxicity studies of RCK50 were carried out in ICR mice of both sexes. RCK50 did not show acute oral toxicities and LD_50 values were over 2.850 ㎎/㎏ in ICR mice.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of construction business cycles in architectural sector on crimes in Korea. Literatures on correlations between architecture industry and crimes have mostly focused on artificial environmental factors such as CPTED and etc.. But role of architectural construction for crime prevention, or impacts on other social pathologies, should not be ignored, taking its high employment effect into consideration. Earlier works about factors causing crimes found that the unemployed are easy to commit a crime. In this perspective, construction business, especially architectural sector, might be a solution since it offers plentiful temporary positions and jobs for unskilled workers on construction sites. It can be explained by “Anomie Theory” and “Rational Choice Theory”. This study examines empirically the influence of fluctuation in construction business market on criminality using Granger Causality Test and Error Correction Model with annual construction expenses and crime rates data from 1990 to 2011 in Korea. All factors were tested statistically for reliability with unit root test(ADF test) and cointegration test(Johanson cointegration test). On the two estimated models, results showed that upturn of construction business contributed to reducing crimes, one of social pathological problems caused by unemployment. Also, on Impulse-Response Analysis, there were significant short and long-run effects on 5 major crimes by expenditure of architectural construction industries. This outcome implies that the construction business has a social role for maintaining public stability. It would be for shedding new light on the importance of architectural construction industry in terms of creating jobs for unskilled and temporary workers liable to commit crimes.
윤리적 리더십이 부하들의 조직동일시와 직무 스트레스에 미치는 영향

본 연구의 목적은 리더의 윤리적 리더십과 부하들의 조직동일시와 직무 스트레스 간의 관계를 규명하는 것이다. 특히, 본 연구는 부하들의 조화로운 열정의 매개역할에 중점을 두고 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 국내 기업에 종사하는 369명의 종업원들을 대상으로 설문을 실시하고, 구조방정식모형을 사용하여 본 연구의 가설을 검증하였다. 분석결과, 상사의 윤리적 리더십은 부하들의 조화로운 열정과 조직동일시에 정(+)적인 관계가 있었지만, 부하들의 직무 스트레스와는 상관관계가 없었다. 그리고 부하들의 조화로운 열정을 매개로 하여 상사의 윤리적 리더십이 부하들의 조직동일시에 정(+)적인 영향을 미치고 부하들의 직무 스트레스에 부(-)적인 영향을 미쳤다. 구체적으로 본 연구결과에서 조화로운 열정은 윤리적 리더십과 조직동일시 간의 관계에서 부분매개역할을 하고, 윤리적 리더십과 직무 스트레스 간의 관계에서 완전매개역할을 하고 있었다. 그리고 본 연구결과의 시사점과 한계점 및 향후연구 방향을 제시하였다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between ethical leadership, organizational identification and job stress. Moreover, harmonious passion was considered as a mediating factor between ethical leadership and outcomes. This study tested the mediated model with data from 369 employees working in various organizations. Then, structural equation modeling was used to test proposed hypotheses. The result showed that ethical leadership was positively related to harmonious passion and organizational identification. However, ethical leadership was not related to job stress in this study. And through the mediating role of harmonious passion, ethical leadership had significant effects on organizational identification positively and job stress negatively. Especially, it was revealed that harmonious passion partially mediated the relationship between ethical leadership and organizational identification, and fully did the relationship between ethical leadership and job stress. Implications and limitations of the study were discussed.

The current companion animal registration system is based on implanting microchip into animal body. Thus, the maintenance cost is high, and it may cause dangerous effect on the animal health. Moreover, it is very inconvenient in utilizing the information. This paper presents a pet registration and information providing system based on QR code for low cost and convenience in field application. The owner can simply register pet information on the web server, print the QR code and attach it to the pet. Any person can scan the QR code by smart phone, identify the information, and call the owner directly.

The therapeutic potential of RCK4 had been assessed in comparison with ketoconazole and fluconazole. RCK4 had ED50, 0.30 +/- 0.14mg/kg but ketoconazole and fluconazole had ED50, 8.00 +/- 0.73, 10.00 +/- 0.43mg/kg respectively. Intraperitoneally administered RCK3 at the ED50 for 7 days and 14 days reduced Candida albicans colony count in the kidneys and liver as well as ketoconazole and fluconazole at these ED50. And administered RCK4 at the ED50 for 14 days improved survival rates as well as ketoconazole. Acute oral toxicity studies of RCK4 were carried out in ICR mice of both sexes. These acute oral toxicities of RCK4 were low and LD50 values were over 2,850mg/kg in ICR mice. The genotoxicities of RCK4 had been evaluated. RCK4 was negative in Ames test with Salmonella typhimurium and chromosomal aberration test in CHL cells. The clastogenicity was tested on the RCK4 with in vivo mouse micronucleus assay. RCK4 did not show any clastogenic effect in mouse peripheral blood and was negative in mouse micronucleus assay. These results indicate that RCK4 has no genotoxic potential under these experimental conditions.
