        다단 브랜치라인으로 구성된 광대역 결합기 설계 및 구현

        In designing the branch line coupler, it is very important to set the impedance of each line because the amount of signal coupling at the output port is determined by the impedance of each line constituting the branch line. Since the coupling coefficient between the input and output ports is determined by the impedance condition of the line in the multi-stage branch line structure, the impedance of each line to obtain the desired coupling coefficient can be obtained by applying even-odd mode circuit analysis. In this paper, the multi-stage microstrip branch line structure is constructed and a hybrid coupling structure is used to distribute the half-power type of circuit lines connected to each port for signal transmission. We also obtained the broadband characteristics by optimizing the width and length of the line impedance to reduce the phase error within the operating range. We also analyzed the influence of the output signal amplitude and phase error on the beam pattern and beam steering direction obtained from the wide band design results of the five-stage branch line coupler. The fabricated hybrid branch line coupler has the operating frequency band of 2.15 GHz to 3.4 GHz, with a relative bandwidth of about 47%. In the band, the transmission characteristic and phase difference between output ports are less than 3.3 ± 0.5 dB and 90±1°. It shows good insertion loss, a half power and wide band characteristics.

      • 도심지에서 전파경로손실과 지연분산 분석

        In this paper, the basic structure to design the cell of PCS on cross-road of urban is analyzed and the propagation model about ultra high-frequency in out-of-sight region is proposed. It is based on image-theory and ray-tracing theory included GTD theory. In order to get the propagation model on a cross-road of urban and analyse the propagation path, the diffraction-coefficient was found by the variable factor of road from transmitting point to receiving point. Finally, to apply at actural environment, we compared the field strength of geometric-optics wave with edge-diffraction wave according to change of the cross-angle and width of cross-road. Also, a time-delay-spread by the change of road factor is proposed and analyzed.

      • 위성방송 중계기용 H면 다이플렉서 설계

        In this paper, we analyze H-plane T-junction using TE mode theory and design a diplexer for the broadcasting transponder of satellite. A diplexer is constructed by H-plane T-junction combined transmitting filter with receiving filter. These filters are designed by the insertion loss method. Matching elements are designed to reduce mismatching conditions on the discontinuity of T-junction, so that a diplexer is optimized and has the best property. An optimum diplexer has characteristics that reflected power is about -20dB in the receiving passband and the transmitting passband.

      • 시간영역에서의 유한차분법을 이용한 접합형 서큘레이터 해석

        A junction circulator consists of three transmission lines, connected through suitable matching networks to a magnetized ferrite resonator having three-fold symmetry. In this paper. a finite difference time domain(FDTD) method is applied to the electromagnetic wave analysis of circulator operating at 880㎒. This method is shown to be an efficient method for modeling complicated junction circulator components. The electromagnetic field components are calculated and discussed. We simulate the electric field distribution in inner circulator. The results of the FDTD method is compared with those of mode matching method and shown to be in good agreement.

        광대역 커러게이트 도파관 편파기 설계

        본 논문에서는 정방형 도파관을 이용한 커러게이트 편파기의 설계이론에 대해 제안하였다. 도파관의 불연속 경계면의 특성을 해석하고 낮은 정재파비를 얻기 위해 수정된 $TE^\chi_mn$모드 정합법과 커러게이트 지수함수를 편파기 설계에 적용하였다. 그 결과 11.7-15.8GHz 대역에서 $90^{\circ}$에 가까운 위상천이 각을 갖는 광대역 특성을 얻을 수 있었다. 특히, 11.7-12.0GHz, 14.5-14.8GHz 주파수 대역에서 위상천이 각과 최대 정재파비 및 축비가 각각 $90^{\circ},\pm1^{\circ}$, 1.03, 1.0001로 나타나 300MHz의 대역폭을 갖는 편파기를 설계할 수 있었다. In this paper, the design theory of the corrugated polarizer using square waveguide is proposed. In order to analysis the characteristic of square waveguide discontinuity as well as achievement of the low VSWR, we apply the modified $TE^\chi_mn$ mode matching method and the corrugated exponential function to the polarizer design. The results show a broadband characteristic that phase shift angle is nearly appeared $90^{\circ}$ in the range of 11.7-15.8GHz. Especially, we could be designed the Ku-band dual polarizer for the satellite broadcasting transponder with 300MHz bandwidth. Its phase shift angle and maximum VSWR, axial ratio are $90^{\circ},\pm1^{\circ}$, 1.03, and 1.0001 in the range of 11.7-12.0GHz and 14.5-14.8GHz, respectively.

        미국 식민 체제 정착 과정과 필리핀 초등교육 정책수행의 정치적 함의, 1902-1907

        This paper attempts to clarify the characteristics of the U.S. colonial education policy by analyzing primary education policy in the second phase of the Philippine-American War(1902-1907). To this end, I first analyzed the policy performance of the Americans and the response of the Filipinos over the political issues in the second phase as the background of the policy. After that, I examined the process in which main indexes of primary education at that time expanded, investigated the changes of primary education and their causes, and revealed the political implications contained in it. The precedent researches are based on dichotomous perspectives as part of the Benevolent Assimilation policy or as a tool for military occupation. Beyond that, this paper tries to prove that the colonial education policy was a composite made by the active interaction of different levels of multi-subjects. The U.S. colonial policy could have been a “Benevolent Assimilation” policy for Filipino Federalists who recognized U.S. sovereignty, but the forces struggling for independence were thoroughly ruled out by military repression and legal measures such as Sedetion Law(Violent Elimination). Also, while the colonial authorities did not provide enough support to improve the ability of Filipinos’ autonomy, they succeeded politically with the image of trying to assimilate the Philippines to the United States. Assimilation, in this context, was making the Philippines not a sovereign nation equal to the United States, but a nation subordinated to the United States and American culture spread in it(Violent Americanization). Nevertheless, Filipinos actively embraced, participated in, and supported English education. English was able to play the role of the Filipino as a common language that united all Filipinos over tribes in the Philippines, which was divided into various tribes. In this respect, English education was a part of the “Benevolent Filipinization” policy. After all, the U.S. colonial education policy was a complex product created by the dual interaction of antinomic purposes and personalities. 본 논문은 미국-필리핀 전쟁 제2국면(1902-1907)에서 추진된 초등교육 정책 분석을 통해 미국 식민 교육 정책의 성격을 밝혀 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 제2국면의 주요 정치적 이슈를 둘러싸고 나타난 미국인들의 정책 수행과 필리핀인들의대응을 배경적 측면에서 분석하였다. 이어서 본격적으로 해당 시기 초등교육의 주요초등교육 지수가 확대되는 과정을 고찰하고, 초등교육 변화 양상과 원인, 그 속에담겨있는 정치적 함의를 규명하고자 하였다. 본 논문은 식민 교육 정책을 ‘자비로운동화’(Benevolent Assimilation) 정책의 일환으로 보거나 군사 점령의 도구로 보는등 이분법적 관점에 머물러 있는 기존 연구를 넘어, 층위가 다른 다중 주체의 능동적상호작용이 만들어내는 복합물이었음을 증명하고자 하였다. 미국의 식민 정책은 미국의 주권을 인정하는 필리핀 연방당 인사들에게는 자비로운 동화 정책일 수 있었지만, 독립을 위해 투쟁하는 세력에게는 군사적 진압과선동법 등의 법적 조치를 통한 ‘폭력적인 배제’(Violent Elimination) 정책이었다. 또한 식민 당국은 필리핀인들의 자치 능력 향상을 위해 충분한 지원을 하지 않았지만, 필리핀을 미국에 동화시키려고 노력한다는 이미지를 획득하며 정치적으로성공하였다. 여기서 동화란 미국과 동등한 주권 국가로 민주주의를 향유하는 것이아니라 미국식 문화가 확산되고 미국에 종속되는 ‘폭력적인 미국화’(ViolentAmericanization)를 말하는 것이었다. 그럼에도 불구하고 필리핀인들은 미국의 영어교육과 학교교육을 적극 수용하고 참여하며 지원하였다. 영어는 다양한 부족어로분리되어 있던 필리핀의 특수한 상황에서 부족을 넘어 전체 필리핀인들을 하나로묶어주는 공용어로서의 ‘필리핀어’의 역할을 수행할 수 있었다. 이런 면에서는 영어교육이 ‘자비로운 필리핀화’(Benevolent Filipinization) 정책의 일환이었다. 결국 미국의 식민 교육 정책은 다중주체와 결합하여 이율배반적 목적과 성격의 이중적상호작용으로 만들어낸 복합적인 생산물이라고 할 수 있다.

      • Ku 밴드 위성통신용 도파관 여파기 특성 해석

        In this paper, we presented the design method of transmitting waveguide filter for ku-band using impedance inverter based on the lowpass prototype·filter. Then, it was compared with the waveguide filter of the insertion loss method and we considered the designed data and gain characteristics. The waveguide filter using the impedance inverter is easy to design because the impedance value of first section is largest and decreases toward center section. On the other hand, since the impedance variation from one section to next sections is large in the waveguide filter of the insertion loss method, this design is more difficult than the design using the impedance inverter. Also, in the aspect of length, the waveguide filter of impedance inverter could be designed about of length, the waveguide filter of impedance inverter could be designed about 5㎝ shorter. In comparison of gain characteristics. this waveguide filter has a reflection loss that is about 20dB in passband, whereas the waveguide filter of insertion loss method has a good gain characteristic with about 40dB loss.
