        초등학생의 학원 교육과정과 평가체제에 관한 분석적 이해

        본 연구에서는 학원실태, 학업성취도간의 연관성, 교재 분석 등에만 치우쳤던 학원교육에 대한 선행 연구에서 한발 나아가 질적 연구방법을 사용하여 실제 학원에서 운영하고 있는 교육과정과 평가 방법에 관해 살펴보았다. 그 결과로 다음과 같은 사항을 확인하였다.학원의 교육과정은 속진학습과 반복학습을 통해 학습과정 상에서 학생들의 학습 경쟁력을 높이고, 학생들의 능력에 따른 학습과정 운영을 통해 맞춤 교육을 실시하고 있다는 특징을 지니고 있었다. 나아가 계속적인 평가를 통해서 학원 학습과정을 수정 보완 해 나가고 있었다. 또한 학원에서 실시하는 평가 또한 계획적으로 잦은 평가와 체계적으로 분석된 성적표를 통해 학생 개개인을 관리해 주는 특징을 지니고 있었다.이 연구를 통하여 학원학습 현장을 살펴보고 학원의 교육과정과 평가의 특징을 발견하였다는 성과를 얻을 수 있었으며, 나아가 학원학습의 초기 연구로서 다양한 후속 연구가 필요함을 제시하였다. Eventhough Hakwon education is very popular and has been a part of Korean students` learning and lives, its culture and characteristics have not been deeply researched by Korean educators and in particular by curriculum researchers. Within this context, this study aims to understand and identify the characteristics of curriculum and evaluation of Hakwon education for Korean elementary school students. It is one of the first frontier research on this area and can be regarded as future resource for Korean educational researchers to study further about Korean Hakwon education. For this purpose, qualitative and case study methods were employed. In order to describe and understand how Hakwon education is implemented and operated, a variety of qualitative data collection methods such as intensive interviewing, participant observations, and content analysis have been done for almost a year-long fieldwork study. Through these field-oriented methods, researchers were able to collect qualitative data to closely show what kinds of features Korean Hakwon education has in regard to curriculum and evaluation. Through the research, we have identified three features of curriculum of Hankwon education, and three features of students evaluation in Hakwon education. These findings are valuable in considering the fact that there is scarcity of research on Korean Hakwon education, and there should be much more academic interest on this topic in the near future. There is an expectation that this research will be used as frontier reference when other Korean researchers begin to study the phenomena on Hakwon education across elementary to secondary schooling.

      • 선천성 시각장애인과 후천성 시각장애인의 보행 패턴에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to suggest effective gait guides and gait programs through comparative analysis of gait patterns of the congenitally blind and the adventitiously blind. To attain the purpose, the gait patterns of the congenitally blind, adventitiously blind and normal people were compared and analyzed. The subjects were the sixteen visually impaired youths from a secondary school for blind person and five middle·high schools with normal vision. Of those sixteen visually impaired youths, eight of them were the congenitally blind; eight of them were the adventitiously blind. Major kinematic variables that are related to gait patterns were: feet width, event time lag, center of gravity displacement variation, body lean angle, body rotation angle, thigh circumduction, foot rotation, knee angle, ankle angle, knee distortion. After analyzing these variables of each group, the investigator made following conclusions: First, among the three groups, the variables that showed significant difference at 0.05 significance level were: center of gravity displacement variation of x-axis, body lean angle, body rotation angle at the moment of each movement, left foot rotation angle, thigh circumduction. Second, the variables that did not show significant difference were: feet width at the time of mid-stance, center of gravity displacement variation of z-axis, knee angle, ankle angle. Third, although no significant differences were found among the three groups, the variables like center of gravity displacement variation of z-axis, body rotation angle at the moment of each movement, right foot rotation angle, left foot rotation angle showed important difference in average levels of the congenitally blind and the adventitiously blind. As is shown above, the gait patterns of the blind and normal people show tendencies that are different from each other, the congenitally blind and the adventitiously blind also show different.
