        Comparative evaluation of OCO-2 XCO2 signature between REDD+ project area and nearby leakage belt

        Credible measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) for carbon stock are among the most critical elements for the successful implementation of any forestry carbon trading. However, it is very hard to get quantitative evidence validating carbon stock difference among project area (PA), leakage management area and leakage belt (LB) at this moment. Accordingly, this study is intended to contrast OCO-2 XCO2 signature between REDD? project area and nearby LB. The XCO2 in individual land cover have kept decreasing after the implementation of REDD? project. The natural forest and woodland which is dominant land use and land cover type shows positive evidences achieved by the REDD project by presenting the lowest XCO2 signature (natural forest: 394.1 ppm, woodland: 393.2 ppm) and highest NDVI (natural forest: 0.498, woodland: 0.488) in PA. It is anticipated that this research outcome could be used as a valuable reference toward MRV based-on OCO-2 XCO2 in relation to performance evaluation of forest carbon trading.

      • MNDWI와 NDVI의 통합을 통한 내륙습지의 육화현상 추적: 우포늪을 사례로

        본 연구는 육화 추세를 추적하는 과정에서 MNDWI (Modified Normalized Difference Water Index)와 NDVI(Normalized Difference Vegetation Index)를 통합한 접근의 실용성을 평가하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 사례 연구지역인 우포늪에 대해 MNDWI는 수분 지수에 민감하여, 수문 객체는 더욱 강조하고 습윤 토양의 변화를 추적하는 등 수문 객체 외의 요소들은 더욱 강하게 배제하는 근거를 제시하였다. NDVI는 식생의 수령, 식생밀도에 대한 정보를 제시하고, 수분객체와 다른 토지 피복 유형(식생, 건물, 도로 등)을 가시적으로 추적하였다. NDVI와 MNDWI의 통합접근을 통해 산출되는 정량적이고 거시적인 정보는 NDVI와 MNDWI의 변화가 육화에 대한 정량적인 근거로 활용될 수 있다는 의미있는 결과를 보여준다. 본 연구는 향후 내륙습지의 육화에 대한 장기적 모니터링과 전반적인 육화 대응방안을 도출하는 과정에서 NDVI, MNDWI 통합접근의 근거가 되는 기초자료를 제공하였다. This research is primarily intended to explore a novel way to monitor desiccation of inland wetland by combining MNDWI (Modified Normalized Difference Water Index) and NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index). The changes for vegetation and water condition on Upo Wetland located at southeastern Korea were investigated by MNDWI and NDVI derived from 2002, 2010 and 2015 Landsat data. The integrated use of MNDWI and NDVI made it possible to identify area-wide vegetation cover changes and to assess water storage changes on multi-annual time scales simultaneously. Comparing MNDWI with NDVI reveals the quantitative evidences for anthropogenic and environmental influences (such as road, building, water) causing an accelerated wetland desiccation. In fact, our monitoring approach raises critical issues regarding the hydrological cycle and its inter-annual changes for inland wetland under threat of drying up and highlights the important role of MNDWI and NDVI integration for any urgent or long-term treatment plan. This research presents scientific and objective evidences to support integrated approach of NDVI and MNDWI in exploring drying up trends of wetlands.

        Exploring causal relationship between landforms and ground level CO2 in Dalseong forestry carbon project site of South Korea

        The co-relationship between landforms and CO2 concentration in forestry carbon project sites remains largely unexplored. This paper examined the casual-relationship between landforms and ground level, ‘ambient’ carbon dioxide (total 34 points acquired on August 2016). This study employed geographically weighted regression to examine the spatially varying relationships between carbon dioxide, Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) patterns and changing trends of landform (elevation, slope) and solar intensity (insolation and duration of sunshine) in Dalseong forestry carbon project site of South Korea. The result reveals that landforms were closely associated with ground CO2 data (R2 = 0.952–0.982) and NDVI. Results from these experiments suggest that the ambient CO2 concentration varies significantly in according to landform and solar intensity forming local vegetation habitat at in situ survey point. It is anticipated that this research outcome could be used as a valuable reference for quality assurance of portable carbon monitoring in relation to landforms in forestry carbon project sites.

        Performance evaluation of OCO-2 XCO2 signatures in exploring casual relationship between CO2 emission and land cover

        Continental scale monitoring is the primary satellite remote sensing method in previous studies for carbon emission patterns in relation to land cover. OCO-2 satellite is the most advanced CO2 monitoring satellite with high spatial resolution. This paper investigated performance of OCO-2 XCO2 signature in exploring causal relationship between land cover and carbon emissions. The land cover types (croplands, permanent wetlands, urban and built-up) influenced by development activities generally show higher XCO2 mean concentrations than nonanthropogenic land cover types. Evergreen broadleaf forest shows lowest local R2 while highest local R2 is generated from croplands. The adjusted R2s (the explanation power of geographically weighted regression, GWR model) were statistically significant on every land cover type. This research output could be used as a valuable reference that improved spatial resolution of OCO-2 could explain corelationship between local CO2 flux and land cover for specific region within a country.

        웹 UI 자동화 테스트 환경 구축하여 운영할 때, 현실적으로 어려움이 있다. 자동화 셋을 구축하는데 초기 투자비용이 많이 들고, 구축한 후에도 유지보수 비용이 많이 발생한다. 또한 필요시 바로 실행될 수 있는 자동화 셋을 통합 관리하려면 많은 공수가 투입되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 웹 UI 자동화 테스트시 발생하는 이린 어려움들을 효과적으로 해결할 수 있는 키워드 기반 웹서비스 UI 테스트 자동화 프레임웍 (KUTAF: Keyword based web service UI Test Automation Framework)을 소개한다. KUTAF은 웹 구성요소와 사용자 행위를 도메인 지정 언어로 매핑시킨 키워드를 사용해 테스트케이스를 작성하여 자동화 테스트를 수행하고, 작성된 자동화 테스트 셋을 효과적으로 통합 관리하는 프러임웍이다. KUTAF을 적용하면 자동화 셋의 유지보수가 쉬워지고, 커뮤니케이션 비용이 감소하고, 자동화 테스트를 통합 관리하는 부문에서 많은 효과를 볼 수 있다.

        이중 질량체를 사용한 진동형 자이로스코프의 검출부 대역폭 개선

        In this research, a MEMS vibratory gyroscope with dual-mass system in the sensing mode has been proposed to increase the stability of the device using wide bandwidth. A wide flat region between the two resonance peaks of the dual-mass system removes the need for a frequency matching typically required for single mass vibratory gyroscopes. Bandwidth, mass ratio, spring constant, and frequency response of the dual-mass system have been analyzed with MATLAB and ANSYS simulation. Designed first and second peaks of sensing mode are 5,917 and 8,210㎐, respectively. Driving mode resonance frequency of 7,180㎐ was located in the flat region between the two resonance peaks of the sensing mode. The device is fabricated with anodically bonded silicon-on-glass substrate. The chip size is 6㎜ⅹ6㎜ and the thickness of the silicon device layer is 50㎛. Despite the driving mode resonance frequency decrease of 2.8㎑ and frequency shift of 176㎐ from the sensing mode due to fabrication imperfections, measured driving frequency was located within the bandwidth of sensing part, which validates the utilized dual-mass concept. Measured bandwidth was 768㎐. Sensitivity calculated with measured displacement of driving and sensing parts was 22.4aF/deg/sec. Measured slope of the sensing point was 0.008㏈/㎐.
