신생아에서의 Apgar Score와 제대정맥혈의 pH 및 Gas 분석치에 관한 연구

To assess the correlation of Apgar score and umbilical venous blood pH and gas levels. 253 newborn infants were studied at Department of Pediatrics. Guro Hospital. Korea University during 4 months from Aug. To Oct. 1990 The results obtained were as follows. 1 Mean Apgar score was 8.25±0.97 at 1 minute and 9.40±085 at 5 minutes after delivery. 2. Low Apgar score less than or equal to 6 at 1 minute showed in 56 newborns(22.4%). and in 13 newborns(5.1%)at 5 minutes who already were included among 56 newborms showing low Apgar score at 1 minute. 3. Mean value of umbilical venous blood pH was 7.27 ± 0.07. minimum value was 6.91 and maximum value was 7.42. 4. pH in low Apgar score group at 1 and 5 minutes was slightly decreased in comparison with normal apgar score group(p<0.001). 5. Mean value of PCO_(2) was 42.96 ± 8.15 mmHg and and was slightly increased in low Apgar score group than in normal Apgar score group(p<0.001) 6. Mean value of base excess was -7.21 ± 3.06 mEq/L and minimum value was -21.90, maximum value was 1.60 mEq/L. In comparison with Apgar score base excess in low Apgar score group than in normal Apgar score group was slightly increased(p<0.001). 7. Mean value of PO_(2) was 23.30±15.29 mmHg and of HCO_(3) was 19.81±2.67mEq/L. Both of them were not statistically significant in comparison with 1 and 5 minutes Apgar scores.
