단계 분할 유한 요소법을 이용한 분산 보상 광 전송 시스템의 시뮬레이션

A simulation of 10 Gbps optical fiber transmission system using DCf(dispersion compensating fiber) for the dispersion compensation is performed. In order to analyze the NRZ pulse propagation in nonlinear, dispersive and lossy fiber, the split-step finite element method that is combination of finite element method and finite difference method is used. Also, we obtained the optical eye diagram and BER characteristics at the receiver of the system that is contained the optical amplifier and system noises. As a result of simulation, we obtain that the dispersion penalty is about 0.8dB after 50km transmission and the receiver sensitivities at $10^{-9}$ BER are -27.4dBm with EDFA pre-amplifier of 12dB gain and -15.6dBm without EDFA. 분산 보상을 위하여 DCF(dispersion compensating fiber)를 사용한 10Gbps 전송 시스템을 시뮬레이션 하였다. 비선형 광섬유에서 NRZ 펄스 전파를 분석하기 위해서, 유한 요소법과 유한 차분법을 조합한 단계 분할 유한 요소법을 사용하였다. 광 증폭기와 시스템 잡음이 포함된 시스템의 수신기에서 eye diagram과 BER 곡선을 구하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과로써, 50km 전송후에 분산 패널티가 약 0.8dB이었으며, 이득이 12dB인 EDFA를 사용하였을 때 $10^{-9}$ BER에서 -27.4dBm의 수신감도를 나타내었고 EDFA를 사용하지 않았을 경우에는 15.6dBm.의 감도를 나타낸다는 것을 확인하였다.

The mucoepidermoid carcinoma is a rare tumor in the lung. A case of bronchial mucoepidermoid carcinoma diagnosed by fine needle aspiration cytology is presented. The smear showed many intermediate cells with occasional mucus-secreting cells. Malignant squamous cells were not present. The cellular arrangement of intermediate cells was overlapping and grouped in ball-like fashion. These cytologic features are unique for diagnosis of this tumor.

Sclerosing mucoepidermoid carcinoma with eosinophilia (SMECE) of the thyroid gland is a very rare carcinoma. We herein report on a case of SMECE with metastasis to bilateral lateral neck nodes, esophagus, and trachea. A 72-year-old woman presented with a neck mass found incidentally during a medical check-up. She had a history of cerebral stroke without sequelae 20 years ago and was taking aspirin regularly. The neck mass was confirmed as papillary thyroid carcinoma by fine needle aspiration biopsy. The patient underwent bilateral total thyroidectomy with central compartment and bilateral compartment lateral neck dissection. The right recurrent laryngeal nerve was sacrificed due to tumor invasion. The trachea wall and esophagus were also invaded by the cancer. Histologically, the tumor showed dense fibrohyaline stroma and a goblet cell, nested islands of squamoid cells, and marked stromal eosinophilia with perineural invasion and lymphovascular invasion, confirming the diagnosis of SMECE. After radiation therapy for three months, distant metastasis to the liver, lung, and bone were found on PET-CT. This case appears to be more aggressive than previously reported cases.

The doctrine that love for oneself is identical with selfishness and that it is an alternative to love for others has pervaded in theology and the pattern of daily life. Fromm tries to distinguish the selfishness from self-love. He insisted that love for one person implies love for man as such. From this, it follows that my own self, in principle, is as much an object of my love as another person. Fromm finds the crisis of contemporary culture not in the egoism but in the lack of self-concern. According to his point of view, the self-love is the very ground of neighborly love, as the self-hatred causes the hatred to others. The selfish person falls in fact short of self-love. The selfish person has first of all to overcome his Narcissism in order to fulfill the self-love. The self-love includes the aspect of agape, since it identifies itself with the object of love. It has social dimension, while the narcissism has a tendency to be controled by the natural instinct. The characteristics of Fromm`s idea on self-love lies in his attempt to distinguish it from narcissism as well as from selfishness.

The Problem of human cloning builds a conflict situation, which includes at once positive value and negative one. Some scholars will develop the positive value and another insists that the negative value should be removed. But, first of all, the ultimate goal of human cloning should be approved for the purpose of ethical and scientifical inquiry. It consists of a borderline situation, because it is so complex and complicated fact which contains the problem of human rights, of parenthood and social affairs, etc. The Problem of human cloning opens a new dimension, which cannot be dealt with traditional metaphysics and ethics. The traditional metaphysics and ethics are based upon the paradigm of substance. Human cloning is concerned with the genesis of being, while the paradigm of substance treats the relation of beings. I will try in this paper to approach the problem of human cloning through the paradigm of process. Processethics provide the ultimate goal, with which the human cloning is ethically dealt. It includes the genesis and vanishment of being in the category of ethics. Processethics extends the concept of Existence. Existence is not static but dynamic. It means not completion but becoming. Existence indicates the process of selfrealization and in this process the human embryo has the character of existence. In the process of becoming human existence has continuity to the Existence of embryo and the embryo holds the dignity as personal subject. In this aspect the ethical problem, that human cloning causes, consists in the fact that it perverts the process of selfrealization of personal existence. In processethics existence maintains the character of relationality and thus if the becoming of existence is perverted, then is the reality itself. The biblical view upon the becoming of existence is caused by the alteration of God`s will. Then the becoming of existence can be found in the dialectical tension between judgement and grace. Processethics reflects the becoming of existence in the perspective of creation. The reality of creator, which defines the process of human existence, is the central meaning of creation. In the perspective of processethics does the becoming of embryo imply the process of selfrealization, which occurs in the personal existence. For this reason destroys the human cloning the individuality(individe - ability) of human existence. This can be proved in three ways. First, human embryo has Potentiality to the human being. The potentiality means her that the future actualizes itself in the present. Second, human embryo has continuity to human being. This means that there is no borderline between the two. Finally human embryo identity with human being. Human cloning objectifies the subjectivity of embryo and in this respect divide one personal existence into two different beings. As a result, the individuality of embryo, which means cannot be divided, is destroyed.

한국 갑상선병리의 역사

Pathologists play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment planning of patients as well as in research. The first article of thyroid related research in Korea was reported in 1911. The Korean Society of Pathologists was found in 1946. In Korea thyroid fine needle aspiration cytology was introduced in the 1970s and became widely available in the 1980s. The Korean Society for Cytopathology was founded in 1986. Korean Endocrine Pathology Study Group was founded in 2007. Korean pathologists have been actively involved in internal and external scientific and educational activities. Herein, we briefly review the history of thyroid cytopathology and surgical pathology in Korea.

핵평화와 창조윤리

평화는 인간의 삶과 역사의 원초적이며 구성적 원리이다. 성서가 제시하는 평화는 정치질서의 회복만이 아니라 경제정의가 실현되고 인권이 회복되는 창조질서의 충만함이다. ‘샬롬’은 개인적으로 경험하는 평화가 아니라 삶과 공동체, 그리고 창조질서의 모든 영역에서 경험되는 통전적 원리이다. 핵위협을 통한 평화는 잠정적인 전쟁의 억제 상태일 뿐이며 항구적인 평화의 수단은 될 수 없다. 핵을 통한 전쟁억제책은 자기중심적인 ‘배제의 논리’라고 규정할 수 있다. 이러한 사고에 의하면 자신의 평화는 다른 사람의 비평화에 근거하고 있다. 대립적 관계를 통해 형성된 질서는 결코 오래 유지될 수 없다. 진정한 평화를 위한 기회는 먼저 나와 타자를 분리시키는 적대적 사고로부터 벗어나는 사고의 전환이 요구된다. ‘승인의 논리’는 화해를 향한 방향제시의 출발점이 된다. 핵폐지 협상에 있어서 가장 큰 걸림돌은 상호 신뢰의 결여이다. 핵이 최대의 위협이 아니라 대립이 최대의 위협인 것이다 이미 핵무기가 확산되는 시점에서 볼 때, 평화의 증진은 핵보유국의 증가에 상응한다. 핵무기의 사용이 인정되지 않는다면, 보유도 인정될 수 없다. 평화를 위한 책임은 자신을 포함한 공동의 삶에 대한 의무에서 시작된다. 창조윤리는 비폭력을 통한 평화를 추구하는 핵 평화체제를 향하여 공생의 질서를 요구한다. 창조질서의 원리는 생명과 생명이 서로 조화를 이루는 질서이다. 서로의 생명을 해치는 보복과 응징의 원리는 무질서요 혼돈이다. 창조신학이 추구하는 창조질서의 보전은 정의로운 평화를 실현하고 유지하는 통합적 원리를 제시한다. Peace is the primal and constructive principle of human life and history. The peace presented in the Bible is not only the restoration of political order, but the fullness of the created order in which economic justice is realized and human rights are restored. ‘Shalom’ is not a personal peace, but a holistic principle which can be experienced in all areas of life, community, and creation. Peace through nuclear threats is only a deterrent to temporary wars and cannot be a means of permanent peace. The order of nuclear peace can be defined as a self-centered “logic of exclusion.” According to this thought one’s peace is based on other person’s non-peace. The order, which is formed through opposing relationships, can never last long. Opportunities for true peace require first of all a shift of thinking away from hostile thinking that separates the other from me. ‘The logic of approval’ is the starting point for the direction toward reconciliation. The largest obstacle to the negotiations of nuclear abolition is the lack of mutual trust. Nuclear is not the greatest threat, but the conflict is. From the point of view of the proliferation of nuclear weapons, the promotion of peace corresponds to the increase in nuclear powers. If the use of nuclear weapons should not be admitted, its ownership should also be denied. Responsibility for peace begins with our obligation to a common life including ourselves. Creation ethics demands an order of symbiosis toward a nuclear peace system that seeks peace through non-violence. The principle of the created order is the order in which life and life are in harmony with each other. The principles of retaliation and retribution that do harm each other’s lives are disorder and chaos. The preservation of the creation order, which is pursued by creation theology, presents an integrated principle of realizing and maintaining just peace.
