Modern high-speed transceiver requires stringent timing margin to guarantee bit-error tolerant data transmission, so we propose a data path’s behavioral (or t iming) model that incorporates lossy channels. Since realistic channel s such a HDMI and DP cables have a frequencydependent loss, both transmit/receive sides (TX and RX) should equip adequate equalization techniques to open an equivalent data eye. On TX side, there is a feedforward equalization (FFE) tries to equalize the number of tab and the gain of each coefficient are determined. On RX side, there are Linear equalizer (LE) and decision-feedback equalizer (DFE). For every configuration, the eye diagram is derived to see how the equalizers (FFE, LE, DFE) boost the closed data eye due to lossy channel.
